It was our first time trying an authentic Italian restaurant, especially this restaurant. AJ was our server and I have to say how absolutely amazing and attentive he was to our needs. The food was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations. I tried the garlic bread with alfredo sauce, garlic butter shrimp, and alfredo cheese manicotti. Best tasting manicotti I have ever had in my life. Everything was just so perfect from beginning to end. I also appreciated the beautiful outdoor decor and style of the restaurant. Molto bene!!! I recently stopped here with my wife for lunch and was completely blown away by the hospitality and the quality of the food! I had the Chicken Parmigiana, and it was the best I've had since I visited Little Italy in New York!! The plate was quite hot, so it was obviously served in the traditional method of finishing the plate in the oven. The sauce was tangy and well seasoned, well balanced and not overboard in the slightest. The waiter was very prompt and polite, never let our drinks go below half a glass. While it is some of the better Italian food in mobile, that's not saying much since their competition primarily comes from mega-chain "Italian" places. But the real problem here is the management. This place is terribly run, frequently closed for no reason, and if they have more than a few customers in the restaurant, they take the phone OFF THE HOOK, rather than simply answering and telling the would-be patron that they are "so slammed in the kitchen" that adding one single entree to their orders would throw the entire establishment into chaos. And if you do call and find their phone off the hook, and you will, don't bother to come in and try to place an order. They will literally send you away. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from here yesterday. He had the meat lasagna and I had chicken fettuccine alfredo and added shrimp to it. Each meal comes with garlic bread on the side and a small salad. The food was very good and reasonably priced. It was also ready for pickup within 20 minutes. The reason for the 4 stars is that the alfredo lacked seasoning (which is normal for most restaurant alfredo). I added some cayenne and garlic seasonings and it was perfect. Great experience! Saturday night we came with a party of 10. The waiter was excellent sorry I did get his name! He got everybody's order correct even with a couple of special requests. I had the lasagna it was very flavorful and the garlic toasts were nice to finish up the sauce. We were greeted and thanked for coming. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I've been meaning to check this place out for a while, and boy am I glad I finally have. My favorite dish from this restuarant is the chicken Parmesan. The dish was about $14 or so. The price was shocking to me considering the pasta is imported from Italy, and their portion size is enough for me to have 3 meals. Some of the entrees come with a salad, which you have the option to substitute with fries, onion rings, or steamed vegetables (tip: I don't think they mention you're allowed to do this on menu.) I substituted once, and you would think it'd be just a small portion, but no they give a substantial amount. If you like amazing food with a huge proportion and a good price...you should check this place out. It's very cute on the inside too. Perfect for a casual date night. The service is fast and excellent! And for my 21+ people, they do not serve alcohol in case you're into that type of thing. I think something has changed in the couple of years we've been eating here. We received poor service the last two visits, and it wasn't even busy either time. During the last visit, the server attempted to memorize our order without writing anything down. This is fine for some, but she got it wrong and never once apologized or offered to correct the bill. She managed to get both the food and drinks wrong and we then had to ask three times for the unsweetened tea we originally ordered.
