This place isn't trying for polished restaurant experience, and honestly, that's kinda part of its charm. It feels like the kind of spot where the bar comes first and the kitchen supports it if this makes sense. The atmosphere is a neighborhood hangout feel. You can tell it's a local spot--people walking in were greeted by name, and there's a familiar, lived-in vibe that makes it feel welcoming if you're a regular, and easy enough to settle into if you're not. Food-wise, the corned beef on both the Gaiety and the Finnegan's Wake sandwiches stood out--tender, flavorful, and generous. Both sandwiches came with fries, and while I appreciate skin-on fries, these leaned a bit soggy rather than crispy. Overall, this is a solid spot if you go in with the right expectations. It's less of a destination restaurant and more of a go-to pub where you can grab a drink, and enjoy pub food. If you're looking for a lively, casual bar with good portions and a strong local following, it delivers--even if not everything on the plate is perfect. I think I'd like to make an update review after trying a few more dishes. At a glance, 3.5 with overall good experience.

The garlic & oil wing sauce is a dry toss and tastes super bland, I do not recommend that one! The honey garlic was great! Loved the southwest eggrolls. Onto the negatives.... The waitress was absolutely horrific. It took 25-30 minutes for her to even realize we were there. You'd think after that mistake she'd be more attentive.... Nope. The table next to us was also getting a little irritated. I ordered the special spicy rigatoni and chicken cutlet. The sauce was very good and mildly spicy but the chicken was tough and not good. Actually tasted old. My husband had the skirt steak and said it was a bit fatty and just OK. Ordered a second margarita but it never came... they didn't charge for it but still annoying. It was pretty busy in there but by the time we left it emptied out. They charge 4% fee if you use a credit card which I found a bit steep compared to other establishments. All in all, I'd try them again for just drinks and apps and maybe check out the bar area. The outside looks super nice to enjoy weather depending. They open at 10am and happy hour is 10am-5pm.

While old episodes of "Nick At Night" play on one of the bar screens, as mock "scrambled porn" plays on another. The few tables that line the wall behind the bar are small and cramped. The very small beer menu was nothing special. The two IPAs were out and the ones that were not were warm. Beer should not be warm coming out of the tap. The canned and bottled beers were not too far off. The food looked like some supermarket frozen food section stuff. Over priced, over fried and cold in the middle. The music played overhead is early 2000s emo and punk which is cool. But does not fit with the aesthetic of 90s nostalgia. The staff is unprofessional and some rude. Vaping behind the bar, drinking, and taking their time letting lines build up. They also let way too many people in. It came to the point where it felt like you were on the subway going home during rush hour. Shoulder to shoulder, back to back -- not a good feeling at a dive bar. If you're not gonna listen to Drake and drive to the bar -- the parking lot is a single lane joke. Park down one of the side streets.

We got here and they only had a few appetizers and drinks in their menu. I showed the server the menu online and she asked the manager and they said they don't know but do not have those items. So the menu online the website is false. You won't get a Krabby patty or a good burger or Tommy's fried pickles. Also we came during an event which was nice but why would you have a scream band playing in a 90s theme bar? They played a few songs from the 90s but mostly scream which is not the vibe we were expecting from the bar. It was nice that they played Nickelodeon and Pokemon on the TVs by the bat, but that did not make up for the food or vibe. The food wasn't even all that good. Literally the mozzarella sticks tasted like the frozen ones heated up in the microwave. The buffalo wings had good flavor but the outer shell was cooked to much. Overall it did not have the 90s vibe experience their website made the place out to be.

The vibe was friendly and inclusive, which made for a really enjoyable night. The parking lot is huge, though it still struggled to fit everyone--this place clearly draws a crowd. There were lots of motorcycles, which added to the cool, slightly rugged scene. The bar itself has a large back patio, several rooms inside, and a spacious main bar that wraps around three sides. Seating is plentiful and well laid out. There was a pool table that got a lot of use--make sure to bring quarters if you want to play. We also caught a live band playing that night and they were fantastic, though the volume was a bit overwhelming at times. Still, the energy was great, and the music was a big plus. The bartender, Donna (I think that was her name), was friendly and attentive. I only had a drink, so I'm not sure if they serve food--I'll have to check on that next time. It's also worth noting they offer free Wi-Fi and have several large TVs, which was a nice bonus. My coworkers, who had already been here a few times, all seemed to enjoy themselves again. One thing I always pay attention to is lighting, and Frogzz hit the mark: not too bright, not too dim--just right for a relaxed night out. And yes, true to the name, there's frog-themed decor everywhere--fun, quirky, and definitely part of the charm. All in all, a thumbs up. I'd come back with friends. The overall automosphere seems geared more toward an older crowd. However, it's still chill and easy to enjoy at any age.

I felt like I was back at the Knickerbocker in Westerly watching Roomful of Blues. Then they got this guy out of the audience (local)? to play harmonica. Junior Wells and Sonny Terry had a baby and this must be their kid. Definitely lifted the band. Enquiring at the bar I was told they were Big Slow and the Hats.
