Plenty of parking to start your adventure and be ready to explore and be amazed with each step. It offers many trials and paths, paved and unpaved for the adventure seekers. Might see a nice horse rider as well as they have a horse trail through the park. Fully shaded trails allowing you to be engulfed in nature and local wildlife. We saw an armadillo which was cool. Lovely variety of botanical species that's keeps you intrigued. Very peaceful and zen which is great for relaxation and meditation. Welcome center offers a wealth of information and artwork and a history museum allowing you to absorb and increase your knowledge of the area. They also offer indoor rented space for functions. Lovely park for a great hike and walk or for relaxation as you sit in the many rocking chairs staring into the lagoon with tranquility!

No noise except the beautiful sound of birds shirping. Have a sit on one of their benches and enjoy a moment of introspection and thinking. Stroll down the many walkways and trails and enjoy nice lake views and untouched old trees that have branches stretching wide and low with spanish moss hanging. Dreamy almost ghostly like vibe. The visitor's center is big and has a museum exhibition inside about tribal history. Wish it was closer to home otherwise this would be my go to meditation park. Just a peaceful and beautiful place.

Almost all areas currently have cones and warning signs up. I'm assuming some type of update/construction is soon coming. If you're looking for a place to walk please be extremely careful as much of the space is old weather beaten wood. You may spent 10 minutes if you walk extremely slow. Went walking with 4 friends - one being ex military and another being a professional photographer. Someone with a good lense and great skill will be able to take some beautiful pictures that the common eye will not catch. What they shared in the group chat would be called catfish. I'll circle back in 6 months and maybe I will see improvement or at least some progress.

Of course I'm always willing and eager to explore new trails and preserves. This preserve has a raised Boardwalk about almost a mile in. Loved the tranquility and beautiful views of the wetlands. Lots of educational signs along the boardwalk about the flora and fauna in the area. Expect to encounter some wild life like turtles, rabbits and even alligators although I didn't see any alligators. The preserve has some shaded areas and is perfect to practice your photography skills as there are plenty of plants, flowers and beautiful views of the area that makes for beautiful photos. Great for casual walkers and families. Plenty of parkimg available. I think you can drop your kayak or canoe as I saw a couple of canoes near the entrance. Overall nice area despite the boardwalk's need of some maintenance. Nice preserve to visit.

As such, it has very little shaded areas aside from the covered shelters, playgrounds & amphitheater. I come here couple times a week for the boys soccer events and practice. The lawns are usually well kept and even. It's great for many types of workouts, walks, etc. It's a great spot to catch a sunset on a clear day as well. The bathroom facilities were ok, sparsely located for this sized park.

The park features multiple large open fields, playgrounds, and baseball fields. There are also bathrooms conveniently located throughout. We visited for the Miramar Kite Festival, which was such a fun experience. The city did a fantastic job organizing the event. There were multiple food trucks, a DJ, and a variety of tent vendors, including the city, fire rescue, PDQ, and other local businesses. One of the highlights was that the city gave out free kites to all guests. The turnout was great, and the atmosphere was lively. One large field was dedicated to kite flying, while a baseball outfield was set up as a kids' zone with several bounce houses for different age groups. We brought a picnic setup and beach chairs and truly enjoyed spending the day here. Overall, it was a wonderful event, and this park is a great place to visit!
