This was a tucked away bar. The beer was ok. Didnt see a menu for food. Never saw a waitress. We had to go to bar & ask for everything. Service was terrible. Beer was ok but the staff & patrons made us feel out of place. Definitely a locals bar not too keen on visitors. read more

Must try for beer tasters! We did not eat but they have the best beers in grayling area. They put a true spin on the beers and make them true to the name. I enjoyed my time here and after drinking hundreds of beers in just a couple of years I would say this is a must visit place. So what I like about this place so far is that it's a small family run business. There a good beers to choose from and they are all made right there. You're not going to get a bud light here or any domestic bottled beers. The only downside right now is they don't serve food but there is talks of having a Mobile vendor come in and offer food (like a food truck not to be confused with a gut truck). I live near Grand Rapids and enjoy the taste and ambiance of micro breweries. Rolling Oak in Grayling is one of the best. The history of the building is worth the stop (a century old ICE House), but the beer will make you stay. The brewmaster is genius and always trying new flavors. The Peanut Butter Porter is outstanding! My wife combines it with a Strawberry Blonde beer and calls it a peanut butter jelly sandwich. No food is available, but can be brought in with no hassles. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place! We were visiting and found Rolling Oak toward the end of our stay. Needless to say, we were in there 3 times I loved every beer I tried! They are more than willing to offer samples but get the flight so you can find your fav. Their home made cream soda is pretty amazing too. They've got a sweet little area with couches and games in case you have little ones in tow, like we did. The free popcorn was a huge hit too. Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit! Tried all local micro brewers and they are the best. No food, but that's ok with me. You can bring food in or have it delivered and eat while enjoying your beer. If you want a micro brewery with food there are 3 others to choose from. Two with good food and one (downtown) with fair food, hit and miss service and inflated prices. Rolling Oak's beer is very good, priced well and there is a very friendly atmosphere. It is so good I almost hate to encourage other people to go there and keep to just the local people in the know, but alas that wouldn't be fair to the really great owners. read more

Great place. The owner is very passionate. He has put his heart and sole into the building as well as the craft beer. Love the fact we were able to visit there within the first 3 months of them opening. They will do great. They had 6 dark beers which were all delicious. Great prices. Music every other weekend. My wife and I had a great date night at Rolling Oak Brewing. I had an excellent brewed lager and she brought in a bottle of wine witch the bartender uncorked. We ordered a pizza from a local shop and sat in the window looking out over the street in our wonderful private dinner and drink spot. This place is amazing! We went in mid afternoon on a Monday not even knowing if they were open and left so completely satisfied! I enjoy a lighter beer and the Bare ass Beach was PERFECT! On the other hand my wife likes an IPA and Range 13 checked all the boxes for her! The owners are fantastic and if we ever see this beer in stores I will for sure be buying! Stopped in on a brewpub tour of northern Michigan. It's family owned and run, interior very interesting, eclectic, and beautiful. Feels like your den at home, with warm wood furniture, fireplace, board games. Ladies bathroom had a beautiful sink, pretty decor, and a helpful little basketful of toiletries for you to use. Owner has done much of the work inside. Excellent customer service! Owner explained all the beers with great pride, detail, and passion. Made sure we had ice water and popcorn to help with the many beer samples we were drinking.Typically when you go beer sampling, you will find a couple or so brews you really enjoy. Here, I honestly can say we loved them all! Very flavorful and rich quality beers. Got a growler to go of the Peanut Butter Porter (yum). I'm not an IPA fan but even I enjoyed the two they had on tap. They've only been open 6 months but they will do AWESOME. Will definitely be back when up this way again., read more

Great place! The setting and vibe are just awesome. Tried all six beers on tap and loved them. The Range 13 IPA and Switch Track Brown were my favorites. Switch Track has really nice vanilla finish.
