If your idea of having greasy food truck hamburgers and fries, you obviously haven't encountered…read moreMoondog's. Located right on Hudson-Chatham Winery's property in Ghent, Moondog's is far more than that. I didn't snag a menu pic, but to further tempt you, these inventive folks seem like they've been cooking up dishes that can make some people jump for joy. Menu reads more like bistroish-style dishes but tastes subtle. I was told the Zucchini in my dish was from the cook's grandma's(?) or mom's(?) backyard and noodles were freshly made which sounded nice but I was hoping my "Zucchini Parm" looked more like it. Instead they were pre-formed patties -_-. Price? Moondog's is doing the "pay what you can" model- but I'm not sure how long they'll continue promoting it. Be warned because we were in sticker shock and hubs decided to pay the full $25ea for our hot buttered rolls which were good but...small. Service was pleasant though from everyone! And because we were doing wine samplings just steps away at Hudson-Chatham Winery, the young lady brought our meals all the way to our table- Thank you! Nothing horrible about the food- they're just bringing their own spin to a different level.

The food was really awful, my son ordered a fried chicken and fries The chicken had been fried so many time that whatever meat was there was wooden, we had to through the entire dinner in the trash, the fries were swimming in fat... My burger was so hot that it had been recooked in a microwave, as for my wife mushroom burger it was eatable, the only reason why I gave a star. In short seriously bad food and waste of money. Sad.

After 15 minutes he finally got his food. I waited another 5 minutes before checkout my on my order. They said they were running behind on the grill. I waited another 5 minutes and they said it would be ready soon. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting I just asked for my money back. During the wait, I saw multiple other people check on their orders and that's when the staff realized they lost order tickets. My friend had ordered the rogue (braised short rib sandwich) and did not enjoy it at all, stating there was no flavor to the meat. Do not bother trying Wandering Dago. They are unorganized and even though they make it seem like a gourmet menu, the food is not good. Stay away and try any of the other good options around

From the get-go they were extremely helpful and most importantly patient. They welcomed us to their home for the tasting and meet & greet. Once we decided what we wanted to include on our menu(s), they assisted us with budgeting and logistics and even coordinated with the other vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The wedding was executed perfectly. Everything was prepared behind the scenes, so well that I barely noticed their presence. The food was delicious and our menu was diverse, something for everyone. After everything was said and done, we received a custom 'welcome to the family' cutting board from Andrew and Brandon as a thank you gift. Our experience working together was as positive as it gets. I would certainly recommend their services to friends and loved ones. Thank you Wandering Dago!

How much did you pay the last time you had a one scoop ice cream cone? I bet the odds are pretty…read moregood you may have paid triple what I paid yesterday. Because yesterday, I paid (brace yourself) a buck and a half for a one-scoop cone of pistachio gelato. Yup, I really did. Scoop 518 is the quintessential small town ice cream shop. You'll find it located on the picture perfect Main Street of Chatham, NY. It has a very cool eclectic interior with pink trim, black and white mosaic floor tiles, giant circus posters, and I kid you not... a giraffe neck and head sticking out of the upper cabinets behind the counter. They offered 16 flavors, a lot of the first generation basics (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, coffee, black raspberry, butter pecan, maple walnut, mint chocolate chip), some of the second generation of flavors (cookie dough, cookies and cream, salted caramel, peanut butter fudge), plus a sherbert, 2 sorbets and a gelato for those looking to save some calories. Actually, I paid 2 bucks for my cone because I added chocolate sprinkles for fifty cents. I'm used to having cones rolled around in a bowl of sprinkles for the maximum density of sprinkle application. But that wasn't the case here. She put the sprinkles into a plastic quarter cup container and carefully sprinkled the sprinkles onto and around the ice cream. It didn't work very well and when was the last time you felt ripped off for paying an extra fifty cents? Anyway, 2 bucks for a cone with a smattering of sprinkles is still a fantastic bargain. By the way, the pistachio gelato was delicious.
