The sourness from the blueberries also cut through the sweetness, and I definitely recommend it as a topping. The texture was thick, creamy, and very dense with a hefty serving. I definitely suggest sharing if you get a regular if you can't handle that much cream like me, but at the same time, my brother basically had an entire one to himself. Although the ice cream was good it was not worth the risk of entering this establishment that was not enforcing the mask mandate nor the social distancing guidelines. If employees are incapable Or too young to ask customers to leave when they are not wearing a mask then the business should have manager on duty to deal with the mandate and to also control the number of customers in the store. 10-12 in that size store clustered at the counter and register is not social distancing. Really cute place but they don't enforce the mask law or the social distancing law :/ they let people in who weren't wearing a mask. We even let the cashier know that the people behind us weren't wearing masks (I believe her name was Christa? Christie?) and she did nothing and the maskless stood close by to us inside. What's the point of signs if you're not gunna enforce it. The rolled ice cream itself was pretty good but i didn't feel safe inside. Either way, I'm bummed. The chashier acted as if it was such a bizarre request & refused to fix the mistake. Another staff member came over and led me to believe the mistake was fixed, after the rest of my family finished ordering & I was able to check the receipt I saw that they never fixed it. It took forever to get my ice cream but it was SO worth it. Absolutely yummy, will definitely be returned. My only concern was that the employees didn't change their gloves after every time they would make the ice cream, which isn't a big deal, unless you have specific allergies and cross contamination, but when the phone is ringing and you pick it up with those gloves and then return to making ice cream, that just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Outstanding ice cream and very kind service. There are hardly any rolled ice cream parlors in Lancaster County. That doesn't negate the fact that Rolled Cold Creamery has the only ice cream I want when I go out for it. They have plenty of options on the menu and all of them are quality. Also, if you are dairy or gluten free, they have great options for that. The prices are a little high but the portions are larger than you'd expect. In the end, I'm willing to sacrifice a couple extra dollars for higher quality ice cream and an over all good experience. read more
