Urgent Care just gave me steroids and muscle relaxers. That helped for a while, but I never got my full range of motion back - until Colleen worked on it. I can't tell it was ever injured now! Unfortunately for me, my minor back problems got worse from sitting in the airplane for a long period of time without moving. But I wasn't going to let it ruin my trip to Disney World. I decided to treat it right away when I landed. Acupuncture always worked on my ankle when I would sprain it countless times playing basketball. It would help the swelling go down and decrease my downtown by helping me get back to playing basketball on the hardwood at a quicker rate. As soon as I got in the small yet cozy and clean office (located about 30 minutes away from Disney World), I was welcomed by Dr. Kim. He came into the room where I was sitting and I carefully told him my situation. I explained that I have lower back pain if I sit for long periods of time and showed him where the pain was. He put the needle on my lower back and after about thirty seconds, he took it out. This was a bit strange because it ended abruptly. I asked him why he took it out so quickly because acupuncture needles that were put in my ankle stayed in my ankle for a minimum of 30 minutes. This was what I was used to with my past acupuncture experiences. Dr. Kim explained that there were two methods of acupuncture and that the quick way was as effective as the traditional way (the needles staying for 30 minutes). I was a bit surprised, but through his explanations and expertise I was convinced. Dr. Kim is passionate about his work and craft. He was empathetic to understood my pain and thoroughly explained my questions. He provided complimentary back relief patches as a courtesy. The back felt good during the rest of my stay and I got to enjoy my vacation. The experience here left a lasting impression due to his service. I wasn't rushed like how most primary care physicians tend to do. And although this was only one visit, I took his priceless advice on how to sit and do exercises to prevent and help alleviate my back pains. It's one step closer to becoming healthier and living without pain, what Sage Wellness Center's primary goal is. Thank you Dr. Kim!

However, she spent the first half hour on my upper back and shoulders. When I questioned her, she said that it's all connected. She spent almost no time on the area that was actually hurting me. I would have to say that if you want a light back rub, she might be okay for that. But if you want something that is actually "therapeutic", go to someone else. I can't even recommend the business, because they don't stand behind their therapists since they are all independent contractors. Stay away from this business.
