History

Established in 2013.

I graduated from the Therapeutic Massage Program September 2013 from the Florida College of Natural Health (now known as Cortiva Institute) located in Maitland, Florida. I became a fully licensed massage therapist (MA74675) with the Florida Board of Massage Therapy (FBOMT) in November 2013. I work primarily with clients recovering from surgery, chronic pain conditions, clients with complex health conditions and athletes (mostly cyclists, golfers and bowlers). Pressure can vary from a soft touch to very deep and varying techniques. I specialize in deep tissue and trigger point therapy but customize every session to the goals of each client. I understand that your goals may change from session to session and you can take comfort in knowing that we will discuss your needs and goals prior to each session.

After several car accidents & chronic pain with little to no relief, I began a journey to find something other than medication to bring me comfort. The last car accident required physical therapy, chiropractor adjustments, medications & EMS (tens unit). Now for some, all of those things would provide some kind of relief. But for me, because all of the muscles in my body were tight, caused more harm than good. I had resigned myself to the fact I would be in pain forever and needed to get used to it. It wasn't until I began my actual training in massage therapy & trading massages with other students that I realized my pain was becoming less & less. I could breathe without the expansion of my ribs causing my back to hurt & I had finally been able to sleep comfortably. I feel strongly that skilled & caring therapeutic touch is crucial to the integration of mind, body & spirit. I am focused on expanding my skills & expertise in areas that aid the body's own natural ability to heal.
