It was my first time here. This spa is an extension of the Brownwood hotel. I had an appointment…read morefor a massage, pedicure, and relaxation package. They started off with a pedicure. The tech was really good, but it was Talk Talk Talk the whole time not only to me but to other people. I kind of just wanted to Zen quiet time. Then they put me in the relaxation room to wait for my massage. Oh, come on it was definitely not a relaxation room. Everyone was talking loud, including the tax bringing people into the room into my surprise. It was coed!! They had some trail mix and bar snacks, and they were stale. The cucumber water was good. There was no relaxation to be had and it took about 35 minutes before my massage therapist came and got me. Then it was rush, rush, rush, because she was behind, and the room smelled of sour sheets that had been left in the dryer wet. Yuck! Thinking the fun might end there but I had booked a 25 minute guided relaxation/meditation session that included headphones with relaxing music, a warm eye mask, a warm neck wrap, and a chocolate. The massage therapist rushed me back to the relaxation room where another lady asked me if I had to go to the bathroom... I went to the bathroom and she stood outside the door waiting for me. Because again my relaxation session was late because the massage was late. The headphones were poor quality, and you could hear people yelling coming in the room over the headphone music. The headphone music was not a guided meditation. It was awful classical piano music that wasn't relaxing at all. The eye mask I had to take it off. My neck was cold so she had to go get another one. And she was talking super loud the whole time. I literally stayed there for about 15 minutes got up, I got dressed and went to the front counter. I was over it! The woman at the front counter asked me how my services were and I said just OK. She then didn't respond to that and asked me if I wanted to leave gratuity instead. I've been to a lot of spas and this has to be one of the worst ones. When you have a relaxation room, they're usually is no talking in that room and I've never been to one that was coed. You should probably tell people that ahead of time because I know a lot of ladies that just would not go for that. Quit talking loudly and quit rushing people for the good money they are paying.
