The beer pour was especially disappointing--the amount of foam/head was ridiculous, and for a place associated with such a famous brewery, I expected a much better pour. The photos really speak for themselves. Service was the biggest issue. We repeatedly tried to get someone's attention to place our order, but the servers seemed to avoid eye contact and kept waiting for someone else to help us. Even getting the check was a struggle--we eventually had to get up and go to a counter ourselves. It felt like the staff had little interest in actually serving the customers. The atmosphere itself has the traditional Bavarian beer hall feel, but unfortunately, the poor food, disappointing beer pour, and especially the terrible service completely overshadowed it. I really wanted to like this place, but based on our experience, there are much better beer halls and beer gardens in Munich.

I stopped by here by myself maybe around 6pm on a Monday and was seated at a table because the bar was full, but told I only had an hour since they were full for reservations. That was totally fine and knew I wouldn't be more than that. If you are coming here with other people, you definitely need to make a reservation. The servers are dressed in traditional German clothes which is a very cool touch. Everyone I spoke to also spoke English. I ordered the schnitzel and whichever beer they recommended with it. I ordered the charcuterie board and it had a couple of hummus scoops and a beef stick and this scoop of stuff that was way too rich for me with pieces of butter in it, but the Germans love it. The beef skewers were so good and the sauces they provided on the side added additional depth -- I think one was a vinegar garlic oil and the other was a pepper tomato paste. Absolutely delicious! The service was inviting -- I believe they are a small mom and pop's type of vibe. I love how the person who took our payment personally shook our hands thanking us for stopping by.
