Got a mani-pedi Saturday…read more The woman who worked with me seemed angry at me the whole time, no idea why. The water was very hot initially, so I asked for it to be less so. Then it was cold and she wouldn't adjust it, which was just kind of a bummer. There was not a regular foot file part of the pedicure, so my heels don't have that nice feeling they usually do after a pedicure. My right big toenail was cut at a strange diagonal on one side (it had been straight across when I came in), and this is what my hands look like *three days* after the mani. (And I've barely even done dishes the last three days--no hard labor or anything. I can get over a week when I do my nails myself!) Just very odd and not a good experience, unfortunately. My left toes look good, so 1/4 of the mani-pedi turned out as one would hope?

I came back for my appointment a few miners early and as I waited, I noticed a sense of community between the customers and the barbers, including some family members waiting, everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves..the shop is very chill, low key and had a great playlist going. My barber Alfonso understood what I was looking for with only a quick description. He was great to chat with, very down to earth, very polite and an all around good guy! I never got to see the mirror as he was working, so I was a little nervous but at the reveal it was exactly what I was looking for! SPOT ON!
