This beats all of the gym-based "dance" classes I have ever taken. Drop-ins and varied levels of membership are available so it fits every schedule. (They offer private lessons, as well.) The community is second to none. I get a workout in, listen to great music and enjoy celebrating special occasions with a growing group of friends I'd never have otherwise met. We all work to create space in our schedules to come - it's worth it! The director, Ernesto, is an extraordinary teacher and pours so much training and encouragement into all the dancers.

We both wanted to take country dance classes but didn't like that our only option was a bar. When we tripped across Studio 22, this is exactly what we'd hoped for. This event was organized and well planned with professional instructors who were patient and kind. Studio 22 made it fun, not intimidating. The ratio of guests balanced itself out. They encourage frequent rotation of partners (if you go as a couple, that's okay too), no one person was without a partner for too long. There was a wide range of dance lessons, not just country. The studio itself was very spacious, large enough to hold 50 - 80 people comfortably. There are dozens of four top tables along the wall, no reservations, you have to grab one asap. You are allowed to bring your own water bottles (BYOB). They kept the temperature very comfortable, impressive! Dress code is casual attire, something easy to move in, and shoes you can easily shuffle in. There is a fantastic YELP coupon when you check in: 1 Free Group Lesson. It was under construction, with mirrors on the floor, dust throughout the space, nails, and conditions that did not feel safe or appropriate for hosting a Pilates class. I reached out DIRECTLY rather than leaving a negative review, and Alex at the front desk was incredibly kind and professional. She apologized and offered me a complimentary session, which I appreciated. I actually planned to continue using the space because of its convenience and how the first issue was handled. I had also already paid for upcoming classes. Unfortunately, my second experience was much worse. There was a miscommunication regarding the space and a different room, and the studio was STILL under construction. I requested a call so the situation could be addressed before my class started, but no one reached out. I handled the situation the best I could without immediate support from the staff. While I was setting up for class with my clients present, the owner, Sal, confronted me INFRONT OF MY CLIENTS and raised his voice at me. I was then told I could no longer use the space moving forward and that we were "not a good fit." I would have been completely open to having a respectful conversation and resolving the issue. Especially because I booked 3 other upcoming slots for the month of October. While I was refunded for those, being yelled at in front of my clients was unnecessary and unprofessional. Which is why this review is being left. No apology & UNACCEPTABLE! I recently moved to Dallas from California, and unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. I will not be returning or referring others to this space. Future Peerspace bookers should also be aware that the space may not look or be provided as advertised.

When I arrived I was greeted by Nick and he even remembered that he originally scheduled me for 530. Love that attention to the details. The class was faster paced and kept moving which I appreciate. I would say that you should have the fundamental understanding to drop into any box, but definitely needed when the box keeps things moving quickly or you will get lost easily. I would definitely return on my next trip to Addison. The location was pretty convenient to my hotel and it was spacious. All in all it was a welcoming environment and I left being thankful that I could squeeze in some fitness on my business trip.
