This is mainly a review about their gun safes and their customer service. I've only been in their store a few times. It's a 40 minute drive for me. I did make the drive to check out their gun safes back in February. The Rogers brand closely matches the "name brand" safes that they also carry. I preferred the Rogers interior setup to that of the name brand, so I went with it. It is constructed with just one gauge thinner steel than the other one. But the interior was finished better and more user friendly. I hired a moving company to deliver the safe. You just have to give the store the moving company's info, and have them present ID, and Rogers will release the safe to them. I didn't even have to be there. The safe was delivered on schedule. When I tried to close the door, I noticed that the locking bolts weren't aligned. I called the store immediately. After answering the normal questions like, Did the moving company drop it, etc. one of their techs came out. He readjusted the bolts, and it functioned properly. Until yesterday. I was barely able to get the safe open. Once I got it open, I saw that the bolts were misaligned once again. I called the store and one of their guys said he'd come out the following day. He showed up when he said he would. He noticed a problem, and is coming back this evening with the replacement part. He got the safe to where it can be secured in the meantime. Aside from this one issue, I'd highly recommend Rogers brand safes. And if my customer service experience is indicative of how they treat all of their customer's issues, I'd recommend that you check them out for any sporting goods needs. They respond promptly and stand behind their products. read more

Takes forever to ship. I placed an order 3 days ago and still not shipped. Called customer service yesterday to make sure there was not a problem with order and they said oh yea it will ship today but it still has not shipped. I realize it Christmas but would think they would have extra help to handle the demand. read more

Very poor first (and last) experience. Ordered 3 decoy bags on line and confirmation was for delivery 4 days after order date. No delivery and on line status showed "sent to warehouse". Called 8 days after order date and was told by young man that it hadn't shipped because "she was waiting to confirm the ship to address" because it was different than bill to address. No one had contacted me re: that despite having my cell number. I was told they could ship it today but I cancelled order instead. read more

If it was possible this would be a negative six stars. please note I have been shopping at this store for 25 plus years even when they were at the 291 location. Always been happy with them for everything I need. Until now! I am done ever shopping this store ever again, I bought Sitka Bids and Coat for my daughter ($900 worth), took them home and was so excited to give them to her. Gave them to her and I was so sure that we had the right size because my wife had tried them on in the store, I took out my pocket knife and cut the tags off as I handed them to her. Well, come to find out the tag said XL and the Bids were actually XXL so they were too big, she tried on the coat and it was too big as well, Went back to the store to return or exchange them for the correct size and I am told that since I cut the little plastic loop on the tags that they would NOT return or exchange them. I am really trying hard not to cuss in this review. Every damn store has one of the little plastic loop guns to put the tags back on items. There is NO DAMN sign that says if you cut the tags off they will not exchange or return anything Sitka. If it was anything other than Sitka it would have been just fine to exchange. Just wait it gets better, I admitted I was the one that cut the plastic loop off of the coat and bids. Them not returning or exchanging the items does piss me off YES! it does but I have lots of friends and I am sure one of them will be more than happy to buy them from me. but, this is why they lost my business for life and anyone of my fellow hunters or clients I come into contact with will hear this story as well. They accused me right to my face of being deceitful and that I was a liar. Seriously, why would I go out and spend almost a grand on bids and a coat and try and exchange them at a different place 3 days later, maybe I don't think like a criminal because I tell the truth but really why would someone do that, oh and FYI, flipping criminals don't have thousands of dollars to buy Sitka gear anyway. Their final answer was nothing we can do for you get out!! I know I am only one customer and they don't care because they have gotten so big now but we will see how many others I can reach. Every person that walks in the store is NOT a dishonest criminal, had I known or saw a big ass sign that said "Sitka ONLY" don't cut the tags off or there will be no return or exchange. News flash if I was someone trying to pull I don't know what then HELLO I would get one of those little plastic guns and replace it but I am an honest person and told them I cut the tags off and I am tagged as a liar. If they want to treat people that way then I am done done done there are many other stores for my waterfowl needs, and my 5k FB friends across the country will know all about it along with my 100K followers. I contacted this business today by phone, about buying a new bow. I spoke to Larry in the archery department by phone who was very helpful. I did a little bow hunting when I was younger but haven't in a very long time. So I went up there and talk to Larry in person and explained to him what my expectations and price range was. At no time did he try to sell me anything over the price that I had given him and he produced several examples and explained why each one would be good. I was extremely pleased with Larry. I did purchase a bow and then we went into possible items I would need for the bow which I had inquired about. Again he started breaking down each item by pros and cons and bestsellers. Again I never once felt like he was trying to upsell me. I can't even express to you how pleased I was with Larry's customer service. He never once tried to rush me in and out and wanted to obviously take the time and educate me properly. I really hope a manager, his boss or even the owners of the store see this review and know how pleased I was with his service. read more

If your an outdoorsman and not shopping with Rogers your making a mistake. I've run a commercial hunting and fishing operation for the past 30 years and like a lot of you I used Cabelas. I started receiving inferior goods and unlike the old days Cabelas stopped standing behind the bad products. I decided to try Rogers and man this was a solid decision. Excellent products and excellent service! I only wish I had found Rogers earlier. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try you will not be disappointed. Their prices are good and they stand behind everything they sell. Cabelas has been slipping and Rogers is up and coming. I have no connection with anyone that works there and I just wanted to let my fellow outdoorsmen know that this place is the real deal!!! read more

I shopped at Rogers when they were at their location on 291 just north of 152. I always liked the place but for some reason would always end up picking things up at other retailers. Not any more. My dad and I have picked up a few rods and reeels at Rogers in the last year and every time they were less expensive, by far, than any other place we have found in the KC area. Great selection, very friendly and helpful staff, and great prices. You simply can't get any better. Plus, I'm supporting a local business. read more

Tried to order over $200 from online for birthday/father's day. Had gotten an email from them saying they need to speak with me about my account and when I tried to call with the number they gave to me in the email, nobody answered but kept getting the same auto generated email. Finally got ahold of customer service and they told me they canceled my order and "returned" my money to my card. So then on the same phone call, they reprocessed the payment and shipped my items. Got a phone call the next day saying they shipped my items but only some of my payment went through. After getting blamed for the first mishap order, I, THE CUSTOMER, got blamed for this mishap as well as the "new employee" who i barely spoke with the first time. Asked to speak with the guy on the phones boss, he flat out told me "he's the owner and you will no be speaking to him". I am a manager at a tool store, where customer service is our priority. I will never shop there again and I will make sure next time I hear anyone looking at their website, they take their online business elsewhere. read more

Rogers is running a dis-honest and false Gift Card business! They have a Gift Card system in place to compete with companies with real Gift Cards which can be applied to on-line orders. Rogers Gift Cards can NOT be used on your internet order. This despite a field in their payment screen which looks like a place to redeem them. After fighting with entering your card over and over, you are forced to call, and complete a phone order to redeem them. Wasting their customers time is of no concern, only obtaining the sale. They even have a place on their website where you can check the value of your cards that does not function. When that fails you call in and they handle it over the phone, without telling you it is their entire on-line Gift Card system. It was not until I tried to place an on-line order and got an honest agent, that I learned their Gift Card system does not work online. So the on-line status check, and step to enter Gift Cards on your order are a just a big decoy! Fool me once shame on you. Mack's PW, Cabelas, and others will prevent it from happening twice. Shame on you for wasting all of your on-line gift card customers time! Be HONEST and take those items off your web page and payment page until you invest in making them real! read more

I attempted to shop online at Rogers Sporting goods. After getting my order set up to check out online the order could not be submitted. I tried again matching the billing address with shipping address thinking that this may be the issue that i wanted it shipped to a different location than my billing address, Declined. I called the customer service was on hold for 22 mins, Did the call back opton and the next available customer service rep would call me. Emailed them issue marked it as urgent and was replied back to to call the customer service number again by Don. I called the number back and was hold for 30-38 mins being told by the message that I would answered by the next available customer service rep. Didnt find out till the next day that there was no one in on that day ? I told them I was replied to by email to call in ? If they were out on special holiday hours then they need to let us know on recording. They didnt seem concerned with the issue i had and didnt ask if I needed further assistance with my order. I went ahead ordered with a competitor and had ZERO issues with my online order and same card I attempted to use on Rogers website. I was recommended to rogers by a prostaff member.I used PraireWindDecoys instead and had a much better experience and saved 20$. read more
