I've been a Rogers customer for decades and I've been fairly satisfied with their services. This Rogers outlet is located on the southeast corner of Bloor Street E and Ted Rogers Way. It's a long way to come down here from my home but there's a great reason to do so. I'm a WINNER! Say what? I'm here to pick up my prize from a radio station promotion, namely Sportsnet FAN590. Now, I've also done prize pickups for 680News and 92.5 KISSFM as well at this same location. They are all owned by Rogers Media. I don't mind waiting for my turn just to say "I'm here to pick up my prize!" to a staff member. Absolutely, awful. Tried to switch package of channels we don't watch to one with the channels we want and it took over an hour and 20 minutes to try to do that. The info she initially provided changed, and then it became complicated, and they tried to upsale us to get the channels we wanted. The application she was using kept crashing, she had to talk to her manager and support team to get info on the most basic things. By far, the worst, most sketchy support out there. I called to switch and the CSR said he changed it to $125 per month. I then paid $125 per month until I checked a few months later and they didn't make the changes!! They also charged me $10+tx late fees for three months. I called in and they wouldn't budge on anything. Truly horrible service. I've been way later on bill payments with them before and have never received such a threatening email (credit operations, really?) Why does Rogers continue to use Purolator in Ottawa when it provides terrible service? I was told I would have a sim card before the long weekend. Purolator tried to deliver it Friday afternoon during the one hour no one was home. There was no option to leave the envelope without signature. When I went to the retail outlet noted on the card during the limited hours it was open on Saturday, the envelope wasn't there. Purolator's online tracking told me what I already knew only - they had tried to deliver it Friday afternoon - but not where it was now. The card didn't say I should call the retail outlet first. I had to phone Purolator to find out that I wouldn't have the sim card until Tuesday at the earliest. And I should call the retail outlet first. Well, it has happened. Everyones fear about prices going up and quality of service going down after taking over Shaw has happened. I have a lot less cable channels now. They basically killed cable. Way less channels than before. No difference in price. You need to "upgrade" your box to get 4K however, there's nothing worth watching anymore. Claim I have faster internet which I see no difference in speed HOWEVER, before I could have 5 devices connected before experiencing any lag, now it's 4. So, my smart tv, PlayStatio, iPad, and 1 computer. Friggin Terrible, I hope you loose most of your existing Shaw customers. read more

Long story short, the TV channels identical to Source were never provided. Spent countless hours on the phone with no resolution. I only phone when I absolutely have to because I know it will be two hours of pain and frustration. Today it was especially terrible. My 4K tv has not worked for three months. It started with fuzzy screens and eventually a green screen. We had a two year plan where we got 15% off if we agreed to keep all our services. Our two years was up and we talked to someone who pointed this out and he asked us to renew. I said sure and he proceeded to renew out discount for another two years. After I hung up the phone we found out some of our channels didn't work. We phoned back and got our Fairchild channel back. Then we found out our 4K channels were gone. As well Game and NFL channels only worked on one of our PVRs. For this they said our 4K was removed from our package. Then they said they couldn't put it back but they would let us have it free for one year but we would have to pay full price for it afterwards. And my bill would only be $7 more a month for one year then another $10 more after that. Of course to fix the other channels we had to reboot our PVR to see if that fixed the issue. Then they rebooted our PVR from Moncton. Then they told us to take our PVR to the Rogers store and get a new one. When I got back home and set it up it didn't work right away. It took some time to get it working. Four hours later I finally got it working but the 4K and extra channels only work sometimes. Now when I phone they tell me they have problems. With their systems. I waited 30 minutes to talk to someone and no one answered so I finally gave up. I'll phone back tomorrow. What choice do I have? read more

Wow I am mind blown. A company that takes advantage of people and their time. I've been calling Rogers more than I can count in the past 2 months. It started with me trying to get a phone, not receiving it, but being charged, getting flagged for fraud without a notice or any communication. by the time they figured it out I was ready to leave. I thought maybe I will be offered a better service but no, instead I was told that I need to pay a cancellation fee. Mind you, I was not even an active costumer yet! There are no cancellation fees for that, I was being told things without any regard about what my file actually looks like. Each person tells me something different about my account. Finally when I was suppose to have everything over with and get a reimbursement, guess what? I got nothing. Had to call yet AGAIN to hear "sorry" and "we will send it now". Oh I got the check, but of course they cut me 28.74 cents short. Honestly part of me wants to give up, I feel like I am being taken advantage of and wasting my time, but I am refusing to let this go out of principle. So I called again and now they are telling me to bring my check TO THE STORE, call rogers AGAIN and ask for the rest of my credit in person. I do not believe that this will work because it does not seem like there is an ending to this. I have been with Rogers for OVER 20 YEARS. For anyone asking WHY, I get it. In the past 6-7 years the service level has become deplorable. Every year you have to call and spend 2-3 hours on the phone with someone to try and avoid huge increases to your bill. Last month my bill went up 60.00/month. Its now 200.00 + Tax for TV and Internet!!! Outrageous. When I called in and said this is too expensive and why can't I just continue to pay the same rate as last year or slightly more... and keep the services I love... I was told Rogers is in this to make money. Yeah, I'm sure the CEO could use a bigger bonus. I'm pretty sure they could have let me continue on with last years rate because I'll bet they hadn't agreed to a rate where they would have lost money... The guy on the phone lectured me about the Government Election this past month and that its the Liberals gov't fault that we're paying too much. He said its because of how people voted.... That's a conversation for a different setting. He was actually getting paid to waste my time.... did I mention that on the first call I made the woman could barely speak English and put me back in the queue after already being on hold for 13 minutes and trying to talk to her for another 10 min. (23 minutes gone) Then this guy wastes over one hour of my time. That was an hour and half of my life I'll never get back.... Then finally I get a manager but I had to wait 10 minutes for buddy to enter his notes before transferring my call & wait for another 13 minutes while she read his notes. Extremely efficient this bunch is.... So at the end of this, she lets me know all she can do it raise my monthly fees and take away channels . Thanks Rogers.... Oh wait, it gets better. Whatever changes she was supposed to make on my account so that my bill was below 200.00/month weren't done. Next bill came in at 200.00. That was a 3 HOUR call for NOTHING. So one week later I have to call back. I ask for a manager right away. Nope, the girl on the phone is going to 'help' me... so when I tell her what had happened, she ended the call. Hung up. Didn't want to deal with it. Had to call back in and wait on hold AGAIN. After another 45 minutes I did speak to a Manager then another Manager. This guy was going to help me out. Because I was a long time customer he was going to help me.... (yeah right)... wasted hour of some ass telling me 'my business matters' and 'I can see this has been a difficult experience'. So he states your fees will increase and I have to give up channels to save some costs. ....WTF?????? Only gets better.... Then I had to wait on hold so he could enter his notes and then he thanked me for being a long time customer. It was a pathetic call to say the least. I was able to tell him the average Canadian cannot afford these rates given what we already have to pay for to live. He said he fully understands and can relate... Can he? Can he?! So I hung up the phone and I've been researching other providers. Virgin Mobile is looking good so far... VERY scared to get into another mess like the one with Rogers... But I don't want to give them another penny of my money. I hope more people leave Rogers and it finally gets to the point where they have put an effort into custom service and competitive pricing. I lost my phone in the snow during this pandemic and from start to finish Ashvin's customer service at this location was impeccable. After triaging me on the phone, he made sure I had all the information I needed before coming in to the store. Once I arrived he had the replacement phone set aside for me and pulled up my account information right away, setting up my new phone was seamless and he made sure I was on the same the entire time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fan of the corporation known as Rogers. Over the years they've dicked me and just about every Canadian I've ever known with imaginary charges on their cable, wireless and internet bills. Between Bell and Rogers they are responsible for the outrageous prices and contract terms that exist only in Canada so I support anyone who switches to the smaller guys like Mobilicity, Wind and Public at the expense of service quality(also Bell and Rogers fault). This Rogers Plus store has a small selection of movies for sale and rent and I think I saw some video games too. It's mainly a place to find a new cell phone and sign one of their bogus contracts. I 'qualified' for their 'hardware upgrade' so I was able to get a new iPhone 4 16G for $159 with a contract renewal(that was happening whether I liked it or not). Here's a new one. My monitoring system Was unplugged during renovations and didn't get plugged in until a month or so after. My fault. I called in to see why I didn't get a notification about this and was I still being monitored. They told me it was all on me because I forgot to plug it back in And no monitoring. So if you have kids a pet someone in a wheel chair or get walked in on and the person unplugs your system you are not covered at all And from what I got Rogers could care less. I will be cancelling my monitoring and suggest using a monitoring company that cares for there clients. that's all read more

Been along time customer with Roger's and very displeased with my last interaction with rogers. Was having internet issues and was told by the first agent I talked to that I could upgrade my services, so I did. The gentleman had issues upgrading my service as there was an error blocking the new update so he needed to transfer me to someone who could fix the error. Talked to 4 other people that night after being on the phone for 3 hours and then got hung up on. Called the next day and talked to 2 more people and another 4 hours on the phone. The first package I was originally offered is not what I ended up receiving. Made an appointment for a technician to come with the new package. Technicon showed up handed only part of the package over and said I didnt need the rest of it. Told me to unplug the old services and plug the new ones in and left. Plugged the new service in and can not get into the app to install. Get a "sorry theres a problem " message and have to call Roger's again to find out there is no service connected to my account. PATHETIC experience with Rogers. My mistake was to proactively sending a request of my move from my current apartment to new one. Which I request last Sunday (i.e., 6th Dec) and during my request I especially mentioned that my current house shouldn't be disconnected or cancelled before 18th, but since rogers have just a fine customer support and they cancelled my account 8th Dec? Upon reaching to the customer support after WAITING FOR 1 HOUR (i.e., 8th Dec), first they didn't directly went to my house address with IGNITE internet and I had to explain everything to him and then he started troubleshooting and my internet wasn't fix and he was already convinced that some issue in my building and setup a technician for Thursday (i.e., 10th Dec). BASICALLY HE WANTED ME TO BE WITHOUT INTERNET FOR 2 DAYS, AFTER THIS WAS THE MISTAKE FROM ROGER'S END. Upon have a video call, he said it could be router issue, he updated in the account and requested me to got a near by store to replaced the modem. At the store - The store person confirmed that ACCOUNT IS CANCELLED and it is updated in the account I am coming to return the equipment. Again he provided a new modem to me, asked me to call customer care to fix this. BACK TO SQUARE ONE ---- AGAIN TO USELESS CUSTOMER CARE. After waiting for another 30 minute and explaining everything lady was thinking to helping me and she help me confirmed the new modem AND SETUP MY ACCOUNT and finally Internet was working. NEXT DAY - TODAY - 9TH DEC- Early morning about to start work and my kids are about to join school and SO CALLED THE BEST INTERNET ISN'T WORKING AGAIN. Again the THE BEST support were unable to find my account and somehow he manage to, but also confirmed that THIS ACCOUNT IS CANCELLED, someHOW he was able to find it, but again few false promises, rather than fixing my problem, everyone I talked to make a way around it and NO ONE NOT EVEN AN ESCALATION MANAGER where able to help. Rogers decided to go from paper copies to digital and not by my choice. They do not provide a PDF of the bill in the email, just a link to login to your account. I now need copies of billings from May 2018 to Apr 2019 because my brother was murdered in Indonesia and i need proof i contacted the Embassy many times. They want $165 for these copies. The are some upgrades on our street, involves digging. The guy disconnected us, said it's only for a few minutes. Took off for the day. I called my provider to get a service appointment next day cause of disconnection. No one showed up, got a call one hour after the time. Good I didn't take time off from work, also cannot work from home without internet. Now next appointment after the weekend. 4 days without internet for no real reason, they could simply hook up the existing line before switching next week. My neighbor is on the same cable line, fuming! Customer service has no clue what's going on, they cannot even find the simplest things in their own system. Located in India! Supervisors have even less clue. I've been in that Rogers Service Hell 10 years ago and had pretty much the same experience, but I needed the cable this year. Went on a tour of the newly renovated radio station floors. it was great to see the radio broadcasters in action and learn about all of the history of the stations there. Worst... I have cancelled the Internet service as soon as I received the Modem on 26th March and had some technical issue in connecting the WiFi... They charged me 112.40 $ and I shocked... I called them and they have accepted the Service is Cancelled on very first day so No Charge.... Again I login to My Rogers and I see there is 68.69$ they charged... Again I Called/Chat CC and that Rep told me that your internet service is cancelled on 5th April so you get charged.... I shocked and asked her to check the notes on your system as well as also provided the Cancellation Number. She checked and told me that your services are cancelled on 26th March and again they confirmed that due to their financial system issue it charged... Today May 12 again I called and after 45 hang on the call with CC, she has adjusted the remaining amount and asked me to wait for 72 hours... She has also confirmed the Services has been Cancelled already... They also sent the missing payment details to Credit Bureau which is totally horrible and unbelievable... My questions is when the customer has CANCELLED the services and not use your services then why you guys charging for nothing and put headache to the customers? 12 years customer with Rogers on a family plan with 4 lines. I temporarily needed extra GB on my plan and was told I could increase to 20 GB and when I no longer needed I could call back and reduce the GB. Now when I call back if I reduce the GB saving $ 35 on the main line, the other 3 lines would increase to $75 (Total loss of $45). The worst wireless company I have ever dealt with. A colleague and I founded a small business account with Rogers Canada 2-years ago, and it has been nothing but delayed communications and non-existent problem resolution since we established the account. When we began calling in with issues and changes that needed to be made over the last couple months, there was always confusion about who was authorized to do what on the account. Logins that once worked would not allow access to our account portal anymore. I am currently dealing with a situation where both of the authorized users who founded the account as Administrators are now being told that they are not authorized to make changes to the account. When asked who was authorized, Rogers stated the name of another colleague in our local Canada office. When we spoke to that colleague, they stated that they had called recently to make changes, and were told that they were not authorized either. So at this point, nobody at our company can figure out how to administer anything to do with our Rogers Small Business Wireless account, and no one on the phone at Rogers, nor our account Rep. over email is doing anything to fix it. We continue to be run around in circles while the bills just keep increasing. They even shut off service on a portion of our lines when we went over our data pool, but not because we were overdue for payment, because we always pay on time. Rogers Canada is horrible from a customer service and efficiency standpoint. I commend anyone who can figure out a way to have a good relationship with them. Insisted on installing a new router at the start of taking over a plan. The router had multiple software issues, the one they forced me to use and installed themselves. Took them 2 months to get the internet to an acceptable but still not good level, I only lived at this location for 4 months so my internet was beyond awful for 50% of the time. Tech support is awful and lots of time on hold for nothing to get done. Then I moved and had someone else setup the internet because I didn't want to deal with it but they chose Rogers and they repeated their terrible service at a new location. One of the most despicable and detestable companies any person can do business with. I bought a new phone from a Rogers store in December 2022 at Fairview Mall in Toronto Ontario. The rep who sold me the phone said that he would provide 3 months of free insurance coverage for the phone. Of course, within a month of entering into this new contract agreement, I come to find that Rogers is charging me for the insurance I was told was going to be free for 3 months. I call Rogers only to have them tell me that nothing was written on file and that the Rogers stores operated almost unilaterally from the actual Rogers call centres and that I would have to go back and argue with the people at the Rogers retail store because there was nothing they could do to help me. ARE YOU GETTING THIS? THE ROGERS RETAIL STORE THAT SELLS ROGERS MERCHANDISE INCLUDING PHONES WITH CONTRACTS DON'T ACTUALLY WORK ALONGSIDE THE ACTUAL ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS CENTER-THEY'RE SEPARATE!
