If you have any scheduling concerns, you can give them a call and they will give you an ETA accurate within ten minutes! If you'll be out of the house, you can reschedule for another day. Unlike other delivery services, they will make sure you're home and not leave your frozen meat at the door unattended. I will be canceling all other delivery subscriptions and switching to Hardies. You can even tip your driver in cash if you wish.

Hardie's Direct curbside pickup service has been an AWESOME alternative to HEB online ordering or…read morestanding in line at grocery stores. All you have to do is submit & pay your order online at least 1 day ahead, then select your pickup time (8AM - 3PM (Mon-Sat)). When it's time to go get your groceries, you drive up to the warehouse, give them your order number, then pop open the trunk. They will wheel your groceries out and put them directly into the car trunk for you. We have ordered from Hardie's a couple times so far, and the produce has consistently been good quality (a few bruised items here and there, but nothing major). Since we are only ordering for 2 people, some of the bulk perishable items are not really an option for us. But this would be an even better deal for families or homes with multiple roommates! Driving Tip: Hardie's provides some directions and instructs customers to look for the orange cones. In addition to that, we've noticed you can enter the business park from Burnet or Metric. Both sides work, but Hardie's is a little easier to find if you enter from Metric.

Other than that, they had bread, some produce, beef jerky, sweet treats, and some other miscellaneous vendors. Oh and Tong's Dumpling Bar is a star attraction. It's in a large strip mall so parking is easy. That mall also features one of my personal favorites -- JuiceLand -- so it's an excuse to grab a smoothie!

It is quite ironic that Austin farmer's markets in general have very few fruits and vegetables, if any. In Washington state farmer's markets had a huge variety of organic fruits and vegetables (miss Washington state.) A standout vendor was one that was selling handmade cutting boards. I may go back to purchase a cutting board. Yesterday, I had only cash and not enough to purchase the cutting board. I did get a cookie that was a cross between a cookie and biscotti. Very different than anything I have eaten... Interesting little diversion for the day. All the folks at the farmer's market were friendly and very open to sharing samples. The farmer's market had few customers. It was almost like walking through a ghost town....quiet environment.

As always, the fresh produce looked great, and the prices were incredibly economical, perfect for anyone trying to save money without sacrificing quality. They have a relatively new store branded version of "Dave's Killer Bread" in several varieties, and not only is it priced much better but I think it's tastier. The so-called "aisle of shame" sometimes has interesting household and clothing items, so is always fun to look through if you have the time. The store is rarely crowded, but sometimes lines are long to check out. Some of the cashiers are super nice and make the experience more enjoyable.

You put the quarter into the slot to "release" the cart lock and then when you are done, if you return the cart to its spot, you get your quarter back. The store has what I would say is the typical Aldi selection - more than a Trader Joe's, but less than an HEB. The prices are typically less than other stores assuming you aren't brand name specific in your tastes. The staff are the quickest at the check out ever - true to Aldi's reputation. Just know that you'll be bagging your groceries yourself at the counter beyond the cash registers as there is no time to bag them at the checkout line. The store has wide aisles and while it may not be the most well organized space, the signage is clear about what is where. Overall, I would definitely visit this store when in the general area.
