I was visiting from North Carolina and had to delay getting my haircut in my hometown just so I could return to Chad and his fantastic barber shop. The first time I went there last year, I found the shop and was a bit hesitant while sitting in my car and looking at the outside. But then I went inside and saw Chad cutting someone's hair. I sat down in a chair and waited my turn. The person who was getting his haircut was a law enforcement officer, and he told me that all the local cops use Chad for their cuts. I stayed and got one of the best haircuts ever (I'm 65 years old!). Chad is a great guy with a positive life story. Don't let all the tattoos fool you, he is a sensitive guy. He is very passionate about his work and is a consummate professional in every way. Got my second cut this week during our Christmas visit to SD and Fallbrook. Love it!

My only negative which isn't a negative but more of a preference is, if you have longer hair on top then you might be better off going to a hair salon-probably get more attention put in to the top. But from what I saw, if you have shorter hair, need a fade and so forth then this place is reliable.

I have no idea, I am not a hairdresser.:) He shaved the back with a lot left and then cut the top short and very uneven. I am pretty sure he must only do military shaves as they stylist had no idea how to do the cut I asked for. When it was done it was very uneven and looked horrible. I was not confident he would know how to fix it if i asked so I paid and left. We went straight to California cuts where we normally go and they got him in right away. They were shocked how uneven. The cut was and how short this barber had cut his cowlick. They fixed it for $10 and it looks so much better. We will never come back. When I first stepped in, I was greeted kindly and promptly by the owner and some customers. A very "small-town" feel about it and it directly reflected the hospitality of the community. The interior decor is a mashup of customer photos, personal fishing excursion shots, modern and local artwork and even some hip dolls and action figures. Unique!!! Totally cool! and I love the "fun" and "relaxed" feel you get being there. There are magazines for readers and also 2 tv's for sports-lovers or those who like the news. But I've honestly never waited long enough to take advantage of either. I particularly like the hairstyle scaling chart that is posted on the wall; I simply point out the hairstyle I want and the barber hooks me up. The barbers there are very skilled in their craft and are familiar with cutting different hair-types; regardless of ethnic or racial texture.
