Mother of 5 sons and my Marine, and believe me when I say I've put in lots of time at barber shops. But this one, Old Town Barbers...is my favorite. The vibe inside is awesome, the decorations on the walls....nostalgia abounds, and plenty to keep you occupied (foosball table, chess) while waiting your turn in the chair. The barbers/stylists are diverse and talented, and we have our faves Wendi and Tyler, but honestly aren't scared to put 'OPEN' when we are pressed for time. Definitely do not go with the first guy by the door. Came out with something not even closed to what was requested and off looking too.

I came in here for a straight razor hot towel shave. The place is awesome. I love the rock n roll old school vibe. No attitudes there just a lot of great barbers who always do it right. Never had a bad haircut and I've sat for probably 5 or 6 different barbers. There are so many of them there that even if there's a line of 10 people, you hardly ever wait more than 10-15 minutes and it's worth it every time. The pricing is significantly less than the "barber/salon" type places. Give them a shot, and you won't be disappointed. read more

This amazing barber shop just happens to be next to Michelle's Place, a not for profit women's cancer center. We took my mom to Michelle's Place to choose a wig and to have them help us find a place to shave her balding head from chemo treatments. The counselor told us that the barber right next door offered free head shaves for their cancer patients. My mom was hesitant and embarrassed to be in public for her head shave , but over we went. Casper greeted us with a big smile and immediately made my mom feel at ease. He gently shaved what hair was left and told her how beautiful she looked bald. He gave her a head massage and put soothing lotion on her newly bald head. Casper made one of the most traumatic experiences of her journey a comfortable, easy and natural thing. I offered to pay, and he refused. If only we had more people like this paying it forward and asking for nothing in return. Thank you, Yelp! You do not disappoint. Yet another fantastic recommendation to guide me to a business where I relied on Yelp experiences. I've had the most challenging time, trying to find a barbershop for my son. Seems teenagers have higher standards for style these days- not that it's a bad thing, but we have had a hard time finding stylists who could blend his hair evenly. Super easy to find in the first shopping center before you enter Temecula's Old Town area. Ample parking in the center. There's an SDCC (credit union) ATM machine as a marker, a restaurant at the far end, a property manager and a couple brow salons in the same center. Their red sign in the planters helps locate their business from the street/driveway. Our first visit to Old Town Barbershop went so well and I am confident my son will want to come back. From entry to service they are definitely eye-catching and have great attention to details. I believe YELP notes stated cash only and walk-ins welcomed. I did try and call to make an appointment and the gentleman on the phone was friendly and accommodating, and I was assured I'd be able to find a barber amongst their staff of 17. Their hours are great: as well: noting that Saturdays they open at 8 am. We were able to come in on a Friday though and with the rain I think it made for a smaller crowd. We were helped right away with no wait and the place was lively and energetic. Such a cool vibe in the shop! It reminds me of this one barber shop we visited in OC Mission Viejo (but just didn't want to do that drive this time for a non-memorable haircut.). Staff were welcoming and attentive. We had Vanessa work with my son on this visit and she worked efficiently and effortlessly. I felt confident watching her cut my son's hair because there was no hesitation with the clippers or scissors as I've seen with past stylists. My son had a photo of what look he was going for and he went from the "Covid long hair shag" to a cool, cleanly trimmed short hairstyle with just enough on top to style if he wants more height/volume. I especially liked how she shaped around this one area where past stylists left it awkwardly uneven. Most importantly, my son loved his cut. Definitely will be back and venture back here. I've been going to OTB for the last few years at the Winchester location and having Chris cut my hair and Graham cut my sons. Every time I've been in it has been a fantastic experience. Chris is super awesome to work with, we always have some great conversation and I leave with my hair looking fantastic. I usually receive compliments every time I get back home. Graham does a great job with my son (6 year old) and is always super patient while he wiggles around, asks random questions and demands cartoons put on the TV. My sons hair always looks awesome. Every time I've gone in it has been a great experience. Casper and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful even when it's busy. There's also games to play if there is a wait. We used to go to chain salons to get our boys hair cuts until I found Old Town Barbers in Old Town Temecula. As soon as we walked in we were met with friendly faces. The environment is busy, fun and the decor is amazing. There are games to keep you busy while you wait such as pinball, foosball and even one of my own personal favorites...Pacman. We have been going to the new (second) location off of Winchester since it opened. When my older son comes to visit his first priority is going to see Casper for a fresh haircut. My younger boys have never looked forward to haircuts until I started taking them to Casper. Now they want to get their hair cut on a normal basis. Me and my cousin decided to get a haircut at this place, and at the start, customer service was good. It wasn't until they started cutting our hair. We showed them our references and thought all will go well. My finishing results was, I would call, okay but looking bag at the reference I showed her, she forgot the parts that highlighted the cut I showed her, the fade. When I saw my cousins hair cut, I was in shock. At first, maybe he wanted something different than he usually would get at barber shops. It wasn't until he showed me his reference that made me not like this place. His reference was similar to my reference, and let me tell you, it was so off! I felt bad but knowing how they did my haircut, I just knew that they were not at all professional or ethical. Place was clean and big though. (My cousin wants to note that his haircut was so bad that even if he wanted to put it to the side, it would just look like he was bald. Can't even do middle parts either, and can only put it down) I may sound very compliant but feel free to check this place out if you want to find out yourself. We could be the only ones that got messed up, and probably they weren't to used to the haircuts we wanted and expected. EDIT: it's been almost 2 weeks and my cousin wanted to note that whenever he combs his hair, it's been falling out ( mostly due to too much thinning that the his barber did to his hair). read more

Been here once before and Alex was his previous barber and did an amazing job. Today though, my son was not in the mood for a haircut, completely meltdown screams and cries.
