Oscar at Custom Cuts Barber Shop is truly a growing master of his craft. From the moment I walked into this gem at 41570 Winchester Rd, I knew I was in for something special. The establishment radiates a unique energy that perfectly balances professionalism with genuine warmth. Oscar's attention to detail is nothing short of extraordinary. He approached my haircut like an artist approaching their canvas, with precision and purpose. Every snip, every fade, every line is executed with remarkable skill. What sets him apart isn't just his technical expertise - it's his genuine dedication to understanding exactly what his clients want. The vibe of Custom Cuts is unmatched in Temecula. The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic, making you feel like you're part of an exclusive club rather than just another customer. The level of customer service here sets a new standard - they treat you like family from the moment you walk in. What truly impressed me was Oscar's commitment to perfection. He takes his time to ensure every angle is perfect, every line is crisp, and the final result exceeds expectations. This isn't just a haircut; it's an experience that leaves you looking and feeling your absolute best. If you're looking for top-shelf grooming in Temecula, look no further. Oscar and Custom Cuts Barber Shop deliver an exceptional experience that's worth every penny. This is where skill meets style, and attention to detail meets outstanding service. Dr. West read more

I yelped this place as it was an emergency since my son tried to cut his own bangs and it turned into a mullet, and I didn't quite catch the name of the barber, but he was precise, and the vibe inside is definitely guy vibe. Very retro, love the floor. The decor was really nice as well. They take Zelle, or cash, but prefer cash they said, but I might be back because the place was amazing and took my emergency walk-in. The check in offer is not a thing, so don't try to use it lol. read more

First time, walked in and was sat immediately. Oscar was my barber and he did a great job. I get to the barber maybe three times a year, Oscar cleaned me up with little instruction. Hair, neck, brows, ears, mustache, beard and sideburns. Young man takes pride in his craft and very personable. Walked out very pleased and looking sharp. Ill be back. read more

Highly recommend Custom Cuts Barber Shop. I always cut my kid's hair but decided to let him get a cut since it was back to school. Alexis was able to get us in last minute and he was just so great with my 7 year old. My kid loves to talk and Alexis was just so AMAZING with him and letting him talk about chess. Thank you Alexis! read more

All barbers (Staff) are friendly as soon as you walk in the door. Took my elderly dad who usually gets his cuts from my sister but this time he couldn't wait and wanted a cut. I was a bit nervous since he hasn't been to an establishment for decades. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was awesome and the decor. He was happy with Paulie. Got an amazing haircut on my last day in Temecula. The straight razor shave was also great quality too! Just moved to this area recently from LA, I'm sure most people have had the feeling of being anxious going to a new barber, wasn't sure how good this new shop would be, in the end, I got one of the freshest cuts from Mario. I was very pleased with the quality of my cut and the customer service from these guys! Top notch cuts and would recommend this shop to anyone in the Temecula area after my experience! Btw Mario has 25 years of experience of being a barber, which made me feel assured that he knows what he's doing and the end product shows his experience! Thankyou guys at custom cuts barbershop! read more

Been going to this barber for years and this will be the last time.. Today I walked in at 11 with no appointment and they aren't busy and this guy (Miguel) says he'd take me and I explained I didn't know what haircut just a comb over how it is now but shorter all around. He shows me 10 minutes later and I asked if he could cut a little shorter and he looks at me all rude and says "are you serious. I just cut it and now you want to change it, you couldn't have said that shit sooner" then after cutting it shorter I said it looked good and handed him $30 then he goes "you need to give me another $10 it's $40 now and you're lucky it's not $60 for making me cut your hair twice. Then when I hand out another $10 he just snatches it and turns away. By far the worst barber and rudest person I've ever had to deal with.. read more

I'm basing my review off what hubby said and how my son's haircut was. I stayed home with my relatives since we are not from the area. We are from the Bay Area but my son needed a haircut BADLY. Found this place on yelp. It was very easy to book an appointment which is why we chose this place. Funny enough, The barber that my son had was from Stockton! Too close to home haha and he found himself in Temecula. He did an amazing job and my son was showing off his new haircut to his cousins lol. Don't mind my shirtless son LMAO read more

Rick is the man! This is no kidding probably the best cut and beard trim I've ever gotten. This place is great, everyone was friendly and telling stories and engaging with each other and the clients. My cousin and I made appointments for haircuts before my brother's wedding, and we both got hooked up to look good for the rehearsal tonight & ceremony tomorrow. I don't visit Temecula very often anymore (live on the East Coast now), but this will definitely be my go-to for a hair cut whenever I'm in town. 6 out of 5 stars, absolutely recommend! read more

5 stars all the way, I was a walk in and they took me in right away and where quick to acknowledge me (I came here after the worst experience at In the cut in Lake Elsinore where it was clear women were not welcome) Rodrigo and all the barbers at custom cuts barber shop are fantastic and so personable. They turned my bad experience at the other shop right around. Rodrigo really took the time and didn't rush and at the end I couldn't have been mire happy with his work. So thank you to all the wonderful barbers at custom cuts you made my day. Also if you are a female this is the place for you. I have been a frequent customer for the past 7 years and I've gradually witnessed many of the talented barbers I've frequented moving on from this location. I have had my haircut by 3 different barbers before this latest experience which have all been extremely good and I really felt I got what I was paying for: a premium haircut. This past experience, horrendous. I tried to take my chance on Peter (tall asian gentleman, in the far right corner inside of the shop). He seemed like a nice guy at first, but at the completion of my haircut, the result was significantly different than my style request. To make matters worse, he made the haircut look more atrocious when giving him feedback for making final adjustments. Because of Peter, I will no longer return to this establishment. For a $20 haircut I expect a quality end result; pricey cost.. especially for the Temecula area. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED as I had an important event to attend the next day with Peter's lackadaisical work. If Peter's actions are continued to be tolerated by the owners, I don't see business doing well here in the near future. read more

Took my autistic child in for a cut this morning. My little one HATES the barber for sensory reasons. Mario went above and beyond to try and make my little one feel comfortable. My son still through a fit and was crying loudly, but Mario and the rest of the staff made me my son feel as good as they possibly could. I have gone to other barbers who might as well have rolled their eyes at my child. Thank you Mario and thank you Custom Cuts...we will be back. If you let us read more

First off, I am extremely picky about who I let cut my hair and trim / shape my beard. Having said that, this place does an outstanding job every single time. I've had my haircut by two different barbers and each one did great. The shop is well kept, clean, and has a chill vibe to it. The decor is cool as well and gives off a West Coast old barber shop feel. The prices vary based on age, military, and whether or not you are getting a shave. Another cool point is that they take care of their military folk and give them discounted cuts. Only negative is that you should expect a little bit of a wait before you get into a chair. The shop is popular and there is more often than not a waiting list to get your haircut. Well worth the wait though. Overall, this is a great barbershop and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. read more

As indicated by the name, this is a barber shop. I have had close to 1,000 haircuts in 20 years(retired service member, 1-3 haircuts a week) and this is the shop I always wanted to walk into. I was limited to what was available to me in my travels, but Custom Cuts is far beyond any shop I've ever been to. There are no shortage of places to get your haircut. While I won't badmouth shops by name, I will tell you that you get what you pay for. This is a full service barber shop that is by appointment only. It's structured that way because the barber is dedicating their time to the customer and delivering what you're in there for; a full service barber shop experience and that's what I got, and more. To the walk in/appointment only whiners: Call the shop-schedule your appointment-you'll get taken care of. If you don't like that process, this is still America and you can go somewhere else. To the military dudes: If you care about your hair, schedule your appointment or chance a crowd on Sunday. Or Chance it on base, roll the dice somewhere else, or good luck near the gates. Was searching for a place to get my hair cut properly, not just from some girl who spent 6 weeks at cosmo school (no offense ladies) or some dude who learned how to cut from his buddy's house in the back yard and was able to pass the test at the local "$7 cut and fade" Ive been all over paying everything from $25 a cut in Huntington Beach to $10 a cut and no one could understand the look I was going for and pull it off right. Until now. Found this place on Yelp! and from the pics of the shop it looked like my kind of place. It was a 40 min drive but I took the chance. SOOOO glad I did. I was instantly greeted when I came in and went right to the chair. -CASPER- is the ONLY person who will touch my hair from now on, even with gas prices at damn near $5 a gallon. He gave me the best customer service and the BEST hair cut I've had in literally 10 years. He knew just the look and feel I wanted as soon as I started describing it to him and he went to work. When he turned the chair around I was smiling ear to ear, and didnt stop all the way back home. CASPER spend 30 mins on my cut, hot towel, straight razor, the whole 9 yards. A REAL barber experience. He is truly a master craftsman of his trade. He takes pride in his work and his customer relations and it shows. I cant wait to bring my son and to go back myself. read more

Thanks for the legit cut, Danny. I've been here twice now , but the second time was with Danny. That young dude has great potential. I've been up and down California and through the Midwest. Last time I got a cut this nice was when I did a promoting gig for Baxter of California. That was when they put their best barber on me and it would've cost $40 (if I had to pay). For $20 + tip, I'd make Danny my go-to if he wasn't located in the backwater Inland Empire. read more

I'm from L.A. And I have my stylist that I go to regularly out there. This week, I'm down in Winchester and I needed to get my fade cleaned up for an event on Saturday. Found these guys by doing a Google search and saw they had great ratings and reviews. They didn't disappoint. Joe cut my hair and he knocked it out the park. Clean and exactly what I asked for. The shop is fun as well. They were playing a hip hop instrumental station on Pandora, which was dangerous because I wanted to head nod, but didn't want to make Joe's job rough!
