Been going to this barber for years and this will be the last time.. Today I walked in at 11 with no appointment and they aren't busy and this guy (Miguel) says he'd take me and I explained I didn't know what haircut just a comb over how it is now but shorter all around. He shows me 10 minutes later and I asked if he could cut a little shorter and he looks at me all rude and says "are you serious. I just cut it and now you want to change it, you couldn't have said that shit sooner" then after cutting it shorter I said it looked good and handed him $30 then he goes "you need to give me another $10 it's $40 now and you're lucky it's not $60 for making me cut your hair twice. I have been a frequent customer for the past 7 years and I've gradually witnessed many of the talented barbers I've frequented moving on from this location. I have had my haircut by 3 different barbers before this latest experience which have all been extremely good and I really felt I got what I was paying for: a premium haircut. This past experience, horrendous. I tried to take my chance on Peter (tall asian gentleman, in the far right corner inside of the shop). He seemed like a nice guy at first, but at the completion of my haircut, the result was significantly different than my style request. To make matters worse, he made the haircut look more atrocious when giving him feedback for making final adjustments. Because of Peter, I will no longer return to this establishment. For a $20 haircut I expect a quality end result; pricey cost.. especially for the Temecula area. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED as I had an important event to attend the next day with Peter's lackadaisical work. First off, I am extremely picky about who I let cut my hair and trim / shape my beard. Having said that, this place does an outstanding job every single time. I've had my haircut by two different barbers and each one did great. The shop is well kept, clean, and has a chill vibe to it. The decor is cool as well and gives off a West Coast old barber shop feel. The prices vary based on age, military, and whether or not you are getting a shave. Another cool point is that they take care of their military folk and give them discounted cuts. Only negative is that you should expect a little bit of a wait before you get into a chair. The shop is popular and there is more often than not a waiting list to get your haircut. Well worth the wait though. Was searching for a place to get my hair cut properly, not just from some girl who spent 6 weeks at cosmo school (no offense ladies) or some dude who learned how to cut from his buddy's house in the back yard and was able to pass the test at the local "$7 cut and fade" Ive been all over paying everything from $25 a cut in Huntington Beach to $10 a cut and no one could understand the look I was going for and pull it off right.
