Everything was served piping hot and the hotdogs I would argue are my favorite of any in the area. They are a red hotdog and the white slaw and chili are almost sweet. It reminds me of the hotdogs I grew up eating at a local drive in restaurant back where I'm from. It is a walk-up stand and you're served at a window but you can take your food back to your car and eat in the air conditioning or take it back home with you. The lady taking orders was managing phone orders and in person orders while fixing drinks and calling customers up to get their food. I ordered the Frank all they was which includes chili, slaw and mustard subbed mustarded for ketchup. My son had 2 hotdogs with ketchup and we shared a cinnamon sugar pretzel, which was the prefect sweet treat. Ambiance was clean! This was a great quick lunch for us! Sahlen's hot dogs were my comfort food and they know how to make them right here. Staff is always friendly and I love that they feature a dog of the week with mashups of different toppings. I'm glad they let patrons know about the closure in advance unlike countless other restaurants that have closed suddenly in recent years.
