Rod's has been taking care of our stupidly huge (75') sycamore tree since 2001 and Rod & team were taking care of it long before that. When we first moved in (2001) there were actually two sycamores, this main one and and smaller (not much smaller) one that grew up to the bottom of the canopy on the main one and then grew out over our neighbor's driveway. Within a year of us moving in we had Rod's take the second tree down. Alex and the team are awesome to work with, do the work for a fair cost and are always thorough trimming as well as thorough cleaning up. So much debris over our yard, both neighbors and in the street. All cleaned up as if they were never here. What I also like, is that the team seems to really like their work and like working with each other. Everyone is in a good mood and they are laughing and joking with each other. I don't know how those guys climb into the tree so high. It would scare the crap out of me. But, they get up the branches and have their chain saws hanging from their belts. Awesome! Richard came very quickly to give me a quote. I was delighted to learn that he is the 3rd generation of this business, which was founded by his grandfather. Earlier this year, I used this service to remove about 10 mature trees/ roses bushes + stump removal from our front and back yard. When they trimmed our palm trees, the palm fronds fell on our roof and broke 40 tiles. It cost us $1500 to repair the tiles. Rod's tree service denied they did broke our tiles but it was very evident that all the broken tiles were under the palm trees. The roof was fully repaired and inspected a year ago and no one was on the roof since the inspection . The roof damage was verified by a respectable roofing company. read more

Our tenant is a lovely 68 year old woman. I would guess that she did not do a thorough inspection of the roof while hanging her Christmas lights. In the interest of full disclosure, as noted in my earlier messages to Rods Tree Service, my tenant heard a loud crash followed by some cursing. When she opened the front door, there were chunks of broken tile on the walkway (as noted in the pictures provided to Rods Tree Service). While the tile in question showed some damage prior to the trimming, it was still serviceable. After the damage sustained during the trimming, that is no longer the case. DO NIT RECOMMEND !!!!Rods Tree Service was removing palms at our next door neighbor and (partly neighbors inconsideration) but they blocked the front access to my house for 3hrs w their equipment . Not only that, but as they were working on neighbors trees they had everything (stumps, Palm frongs, trash) in my driveway and yard!! They were not apologetic and when they left they left behind a huge mess IN MY YARD!!
