Their Google Maps location sent us to the wrong city, which made us arrive half an hour late through no fault of our own. Instead of acknowledging the issue or showing any basic professionalism, the staff told us we would simply have to forgo the appointment -- no flexibility, no problem‑solving, nothing. I switched my husband into the other appointment, but he didn't even want to go because the woman on the phone was so rude, argumentative, and unwilling to listen when I tried to explain the Google Maps issue. We ended up finding a new eyecare provider and canceled the second appointment. When I called Newport Eyecare back to let them know, they were again incredibly rude and combative. They insisted their website clearly shows the old location as "permanently closed," even though it absolutely did not -- and it was obvious they had just updated it that day to cover their mistake. I called back once more to confirm we wouldn't be charged a no‑show fee, and the same woman repeatedly tried to put me on hold even after I said no and simply asked her to confirm we wouldn't be charged. She refused to answer the question, repeating the same script over and over instead of addressing what I was asking. They also claimed they sent letters to patients about the address change. We never received anything. This office has the rudest, most incompetent staff I've ever dealt with. They don't listen, they argue, they deflect blame, and they can't keep their own information updated. Avoid at all costs.

The hygienists don't talk down to you like I've experienced in other offices-- I really appreciate that. I'm adult, after all, and I should be treated that way. Dr. O'Keefe is amazing. Again, I have never had a dentist look at my whole health-- mental and physical-- along with my dental health and really care about how aspects of health affect each other. She also spoke to me at a level appropriate to me, but I've heard her speak to other patients and she spoke to them at their level as well (layman's terms, etc.). I think I've finally found a dental office that I actually feel comfortable going to.

I do not get the impression that they will do unnecessary procedures or pad charges. That was an experience I had at a different larger independent Augusta dental practice on Western Ave. The receptionists are friendly and the hygienists expert, at least the one I have had so far. The only issue is that they have limited days of operation but are covered by a waterville practice for emergencies. I highly recommend this group.

I was new to the world of hearing loss and its treatment. I wasn't ready yet, to jump on board. A couple of weeks ago, I realized that I am NOW ready. I phoned and made a new appointment. My hand was graciously held as I was walked through the evaluation process and then outfitted. All of my concerns were considered and addressed. All rationale about their recommendations for me was explained to my satisfaction. I'm a "know-it-all" sound tech by profession and I was dealt with on a level that was very comfy to me. It is readily apparent that they can deal with it ALL in a pleasant and professional manner. Less than a week along with the hearing aids, now... So far so good. My mother is 83 years old. She has $4K hearing aids that she got 3 1/2 years ago in another state…read more At this appointment (yearly exam) she was told "even though her current hearing aids worked , they could quit and they are 6 months out of warranty". So the sales pitch for new ones started. We declined $6K new aids - ( with a $2K service plan included), that mom DID NOT MEDICALLY NEED. Then mom said the aids "don't stay in place in her ear as they should". Dr says Bigger "tulips" ( the little removable rubber tip) should fix that. But mom isn't given those, she's given ANOTHER sales pitch about $300 molds, and $340 adjustments for them. We said no to that too. All of a sudden these little plastic "kick stands" the dr called them, were put on her hearing aids FOR FREE!!! I'll be darned... it works just fine keeping them in place. I'm very sorry the Audiologist that was there last year when we established care there , left the practice. I DID leave a 5 star review then. My opinion is completely changed about recommending them to anyone. Seek elsewhere. I am.

This online software is now working at at-least 80% or better, and includes all the info that I would like to see about my health, appointments, and test results. I've been a nurse for over 45 years, and know what to look for, they impressed me beyond words. From arrival in the ER to care on 2West, each and every person I came in contact with, was supportive, compassionate, and caring. I know how lucky I was, but feel that they also made sure my luck didn't run out. Each Dr., from ER to discharge, followed up on every aspect of my care, found issues long hidden, and I believe probably kept me alive. There are no words big enough or grand enough to thank them all. So I will just say, if you have to be seen , go there, trust in them all to help you, they really are the very best !!! THANK YOU, to the doctors who helped, to the dietary staff who helped me keep on my new diets, but especially to every nurse, and aide that layed hands on me...God Bless you all, you kept me sane, comfortable, and hopeful.
