It was very interesting. We stayed in the room 301. After my eye surgery I had a great time as well as great could be expected. Didn't enjoy the eye surgery, but that's neither here. Neither was very nice and I come in the staff.

I was in San Angelo due to a family emergency. I have always stayed at this Rodeway Inn. It is no frills, and in a nice part of town. Unfortunately, I will no longer be booking a room here. I drove in late and pulled into a parking spot outside of my hotel room. By accident, I pulled into a spot that was reserved for "maintenance." The sign is tiny and barely visible in the dark. I woke up to a truck blocking my car in. It was the maintenance guy. I was stuck for 2 hours. When I finally found the maintenance man, he replies with "CaN yOu NoT rEaD?!" Absolutely lost all respect for this place in seconds. I have family in town this week for a funeral, and booked 6 rooms for 6 nights elsewhere. This is not how you treat people. P.S. Lisa was nice and apologized, but that shouldn't be her job. We felt really bad for her.

Pretty standard, nice

This hotel is very clean and updated inside, and includes a great continental breakfast. The front desk staff was very friendly.

When we pulled up, the exterior gave off a classic roadside…read moremotel vibe, which made me a bit nervous after convincing several friends to skip higher-rated chain hotels. However, I wanted to stay somewhere with real character, and the Angoria completely won me over. The rooms, while compact like a traditional motel room, are beautifully renovated, spotless, and feature very comfortable beds. The staff was warm and friendly, making our group feel welcome despite us being a bit noisy at the bar and pool. Another nice touch: while the bar officially closes at 10:00 PM, the bartender has the discretion to keep it open until midnight if guests are enjoying the bar and pool area. Speaking of the pool, it is a bit smaller than it appears online, but that wasn't an issue for us since we didn't end up swimming. A couple of quick heads-up for future guests: Road Noise: Traffic on Bryant and Beauregard can get loud in the evenings, but fortunately, the hotel provides earplugs to help block it out. EV Charging: Avoid the on-site ChargePoint charger unless absolutely necessary. It cost $27 for just 2 hours for a fraction of a full charge--way overpriced! Management should really consider renegotiating rates or switching providers. The charger issue didn't ruin my experience. My buddies and I had a fantastic stay, and I would definitely stay at the Angoria again!

I was told only some king-size bedrooms come with a microwave, they did not have any other king-size beds available so we moved to a room with 2 queens not very happy but it did have a microwave. The room did not have any empty plugs so we had to ask management for an adapter. There is NO ice machine. They use a cooler and fill it with ice ( very unsanitary). The breakfast consists of bagels and muffins. If you want something warm you pay extra. The room was clean the bed was comfortable, but Not worth $155 + tax about $185 total.I saw a $100 charge on my account. They put a hold on your card.I called tonight to ask how long it would take to be released and was told it could take 4 days. Also was told I could be charged $5 for a make up stain on a wash cloth if it doesn't come off. UNBELIEVABLE.

I was told they have only one handicap room with two queen beds, room 318. The bathroom door opens the wrong way and it's horrible to navigate getting past the closet and past the door. There's still a tub in this bathroom. It definitely didn't start life as a handicap room, and it's really only halfway there. The beds are soooo incredibly firm that if you sit on the bed to watch TV, it eventually starts to make your tailbone sore. And the sofa pulls out into the worst mattress I've ever seen, or heard. The springs are so loud and you can feel them like there's only a thin cloth between you and them. The bathroom is old, rust or old mildew around the bottom of the tile where it meets the tub and at the circle water cap thing above the drain. I think it's an overflow thing. So it's an alright stay, loved the staff and housekeeping, but they sure do need some upgrades or something if they're going to charge the same or more as other suites hotels in the area.

To top it off, ants in the bathroom covering my tooth brush! Ana at the front desk was very kind when I complained, and deserves kudos. I've stayed in oilfield camps in the Algerian desert that are nicer than this place! Not at all up to IHG standards. I'm giving one star because that is as low as I can go.

The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. My only problem with the room was that there was no bottled water available in the fridge, and that would have been nice to make coffee in the morning. My favorite aspect of this stay for me, however, was not the comfortable bed or the free cookies in the lobby. It was the excellent bar area in the lobby. I stayed here twice while traveling through the area, and it was so enjoyable to have a place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening without having to leave the hotel. I also enjoyed an excellent breakfast here on my second stay. I was blown away with how good it was. The only issue here was I was charged separately for the breakfast, even though it was supposed to be included in the price I paid for the room. The young lady who checked me in and completed my transaction apologized because she was new and didn't know how to add in the price for the breakfast, Overall a very pleasant experience. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was as well. The hotel staff did an excellent job, and we had a very pleasant stay. The only issue we experienced was with the refrigerator. It seemed to operate on some type of timer rather than cooling continuously. We placed food in it before leaving for the day, but when we returned, the food was only slightly cool instead of properly cold. Unfortunately, we will probably have to throw it away. It would be wonderful if the refrigerators could maintain a consistent, food-safe temperature. Aside from that one issue, we were very pleased with our stay. The excellent service--especially from Vicki--and the cleanliness of the hotel made for a great experience.

Checked into my room and was very impressed with the size of the suite, but wished it was central heat and air. Also the refrigerator was very dirty. This morning, i woke up at 6:30am for work and saw 4 roaches on the wall. That pretty much ruined it for me. I called the front desk and they told me to come get some roach spray. Umm. So i go to work today and come back. Housekeeping had come, but they didnt change the sheets or replace the toilet paper. Called the front desk again and she said they might have an extra roll and to come down to get it. I did. They had said they would change my room because of the roaches and never did. The front desk people either arent there or couldnt care less about customers. Just don't stay at this place unless you want to watch drug deals out of the window of your room and hang out with roaches.
