Hilton Garden Inn St. Cloud - Meeting Room

Hilton Garden Inn St. Cloud

Stayed one night for a wedding, so only had a brief experience but it was completely fine. Hotel…read morewas clean, staff was fine, lots of (chain) restaurants and shops nearby, a small pool and hot tub, and small gym (with a Peloton bike).

My experience at this Hilton was terrible. The hotel doesn't even look like a Hilton. The flowers…read moreat the hotel entrance were plastic and looked like they were from Easter. The only good thing, that happened to us was the receptionist, Keira. She was professional. And... on a separate note, I hope Hilton appreciates her and gives her opportunities. It's rare these days to find people who are so eager to work and help customers. The accessible room was a disaster, especially the bed. It didn't have the required 24-inch height for a person with a disability; it was only 12 inches high and of very poor quality. Breakfast was served through a nearby restaurant. The restaurant required guests to purchase the full breakfast menu to receive service. Guests couldn't just order a piece of toast and a cup of coffee like at other Hiltons. This proves once again that I'm right--read my review of Wyndham. Companies like this and others don't care about the customer; they care about how much money they make at the end of the month, and if a customer is denied a piece of toast, they don't care. There are people who can't or don't want to eat an full American breakfast. Do you understand? But no, they don't care, and on top of that, they let themselves be pushed around--or not--by a restaurant that's just a drop in the bucket compared to the Hilton's market share. But it doesn't matter; bottom line: money, and let the customer suffer. It was a disaster and poor taste.

Treat tray was empty and she didn't mention the "park your car around the back" sign( early phone call the next morning). Room was nicely decorated BUT didn't appreciate the flaky black pieces in the white comforter. The 5 small black pieces of hair( hubster is bald, Ian am long haired brown) on the bathroom floor AND the two globs of toothpaste dried in the sink I guess the housekeeper was tired.

We had an incident with our toddler getting sick and needed to use their laundry facility- only problem was that most of the places close were closed due to the time but they also didn't have any soap??? Said something about their usual vendor usually supplies them but didn't bring them any this time around? I know the launder the sheets/towels/etc I was confused that I couldn't purchase any soap whatsoever so that we could clean my toddlers blanket. So we inquired about their dry cleaning but the girl wasn't sure and said we would have to wait until the manager came in the morning to answer that question. We usually keep to ourselves and never need assistance but the one time we do no one was really able to help us. Ended up driving to the family we were visiting to use their washer instead. Defeats the whole purpose of advertising that residents can use the guest laundry facility. Also breakfast was eh. Always good with the standard waffles and breads. Eggs were not real (or at least didn't seem to be) and pretty scarce. Never any fruit or meats available even as early as 7am. No room service but they do have a snack area where they sell overpriced bags of chips and water etc. Next time we know to take our chances and try another place.

It could use a remodel from the outside, but nothing to ding down a rating. This is NOT the Ritz Hotel, so get that image out of your head!! Now, this review is for a king room, upstairs. There were no bugs (bed or other unwanted critters), as it has wood flooring, which helps deter them buggers. The bed was comfy. The AC was cold. The shower had hot water, and an 'ok' water pressure. It has a working refridge, and microwave. And, there was no funky odor in the room. The facility was clean inside and out. There weren't any noisy neighbors during my stay. I stayed for 2 nights (weekday), and on the first night there might've been a slight musty smell in the hallway, but the next day it was gone. The only uncleanliness I noticed was the wood flooring in the room. It was a bit dirty... nothing to terribly bad. The hallway has carpet, and i didnt expect it to be clean, like a 4-star hotel. So, dont complain about stains on the carpet. You get what you pay for. That part of the hotel does need to be remodeled, big deal. Other than that, it was a nice stay. The husband and wife who run the place are quite friendly too. For the value, I was expecting worse, but to my surprise it exceeded my expectations and then some. The location is close to restaraunts, and fast food. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, then there's a walmart, and costco about a mile east. If you stay here, I hope you have as good of an experience as I did. Sleep well my friend!! :)
