My experience at this Hilton was terrible. The hotel doesn't even look like a Hilton. The flowers…read moreat the hotel entrance were plastic and looked like they were from Easter. The only good thing, that happened to us was the receptionist, Keira. She was professional. And... on a separate note, I hope Hilton appreciates her and gives her opportunities. It's rare these days to find people who are so eager to work and help customers. The accessible room was a disaster, especially the bed. It didn't have the required 24-inch height for a person with a disability; it was only 12 inches high and of very poor quality. Breakfast was served through a nearby restaurant. The restaurant required guests to purchase the full breakfast menu to receive service. Guests couldn't just order a piece of toast and a cup of coffee like at other Hiltons. This proves once again that I'm right--read my review of Wyndham. Companies like this and others don't care about the customer; they care about how much money they make at the end of the month, and if a customer is denied a piece of toast, they don't care. There are people who can't or don't want to eat an full American breakfast. Do you understand? But no, they don't care, and on top of that, they let themselves be pushed around--or not--by a restaurant that's just a drop in the bucket compared to the Hilton's market share. But it doesn't matter; bottom line: money, and let the customer suffer. It was a disaster and poor taste.

We were in St. Cloud for a family wedding. The bride and groom booked a block of rooms at this…read morehotel... And then stayed at the Marriott themselves, with their immediate family... If this was a review of just the staff, it would be five stars. Everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the waitstaff in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome. We got a suite, which was about the size of an efficiency apartment. Microwave, large fridge and sink in the kitchenette. The bathroom was on the smaller side, and there was no bathtub only a shower stall! That was really too bad, because we had our boys with us and I was hoping to give them a bath before the wedding. There is another vanity with a sink in the bedroom though, which was nice for doing hair and make-up while The Man was taking a shower. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were clean, and they give you tons of pillows. The suite also has a pullout couch, which we did not use, and reclining armchair which we did. There was enough room for our double stroller, our Pack'n'Play, 2 suitcases, diaper bag, and all our other paraphernalia. The room was adequate, if a little dated. The surfaces were clean- but like another review said- it seemed as if the whole room hadn't been deep cleaned in a while. They allow smoking and pets in certain rooms, but you can faintly smell those odors in all of the rooms. And chlorine. So much chlorine smell! Lots of vending machines with lots of choices and a restaurant on site. Also a Walmart and tons of other stores and restaurants within walking distance. Four different pools and a hot tub. Volleyball court, basketball courts, an arcade and a few table games for families/kiddos. Our room was on the wall that faced the volleyball and basketball courts and it was really loud! Fortunately, the bedroom of the suite had another door that we could close and that really helped muffle the sound. So all in all I gave it three stars. The staff was great, and there were lots of things for families to do there, but for almost $200 a night for our suite, I would have liked a little more quiet, a spotless room, and a bathtub.

I called the hotel and talked to a manager and she refunded my 7 extra nights but was not able to explain why the extra charges occurred. I didn't think much of it and was just happy my card got refunded. 2 weeks later I had $844 charged to my credit card and called again to inquire about it. The front desk person couldn't look into it but said the manager Gina would look into it for me and return my call. She never returned my calls. I called back 2 days later and the same front desk person answered and remembered me and said Gina would be in at 3pm and also gave me her email address. I asked the front desk person to have Gina call me back when she came to work for the day. I also composed an email to her detailing my issues with my confirmation number and asking her for a call back. My email and calls were never returned. I called back 2 days later and a different guy said he could look into it and said he saw a lot of strange charges but didn't understand them. He said he would get with his manager and call me back later that night. He never called back. I called back again and he said it would have to wait for Gina to call me back. I asked for a copy of the charges to emailed to me and he said he would. He never did. I called today to talk to the GM Brad, the front desk person said he was in but not in his office and offered to send me to his voicemail. I was then transferred to his voicemail and it was full and not able to accept new voicemails. I tried calling the front desk back, but the phone rang for 2 minutes and then hung up on me, I tried again and the same thing happened. I waited 10 minutes and tried calling again, but it still rang for 2 minutes and then hung up on me. At this time the issue is still unresolved.

FRAUD: They manually entered an extra charge on our credit card without our knowledge or consent…read more I had to cancel our card so they will not be able to fraud us in the future. So I look forward to the hassle of changing all my bill accounts to a different card. They refunded the charge but only after I told them I am going to report the charge as fraud. This hotel was dirty. And we paid for a kitchen, brought food to cook and all pans and cook utensils were unsafe to use with so much burnt food(?) on them that they were unsafe to use. My husband handles commercial kitchens and ServSafe in the West Central region of MN and will be contacting his connection at the local health department. There also was mold on the shower curtain. The only vent in the bathroom pushes air into the shower, so do not have the AC on when you want to shower. I have pictures to support my claims. When we asked the front desk for different pans his response at 11pm was that housekeeping would bring us pans in the morning. We also did not have forks or spoons. The front desk just kept repeating that housekeeping would bring forks and spoons in the morning. So they frauded us and we couldn't use the kitchen in our room the night of our stay. And there were no clean pans, spoons or forks from housekeeping the next morning. Why would you pay extra for room with a kitchen when you don't have any utensils or pans to use in the kitchen? The microwave had no lights. I guess we were lucky that the Refrigerator worked, even though it also had mold in the drawer. 0/10 would not recommend and am reporting the fraudulent unauthorized charge on our card.

Not a whole lot to pick from if you want to be in the hotbed of excitement that DT SC is. Little over a hondo for the night. Has everything you need. Full kitchen. Living room. Separate bedroom. TV's in both. Complimentary breakfast. Can't complain at all. Will gladly stay again when I just want to get an hour away.

Treat tray was empty and she didn't mention the "park your car around the back" sign( early phone call the next morning). The 5 small black pieces of hair( hubster is bald, Ian am long haired brown) on the bathroom floor AND the two globs of toothpaste dried in the sink I guess the housekeeper was tired.

We had an incident with our toddler getting sick and needed to use their laundry facility- only problem was that most of the places close were closed due to the time but they also didn't have any soap??? Said something about their usual vendor usually supplies them but didn't bring them any this time around? I know the launder the sheets/towels/etc I was confused that I couldn't purchase any soap whatsoever so that we could clean my toddlers blanket. So we inquired about their dry cleaning but the girl wasn't sure and said we would have to wait until the manager came in the morning to answer that question. We usually keep to ourselves and never need assistance but the one time we do no one was really able to help us. Ended up driving to the family we were visiting to use their washer instead. Defeats the whole purpose of advertising that residents can use the guest laundry facility. Also breakfast was eh. Always good with the standard waffles and breads. Eggs were not real (or at least didn't seem to be) and pretty scarce. Never any fruit or meats available even as early as 7am. No room service but they do have a snack area where they sell overpriced bags of chips and water etc. Next time we know to take our chances and try another place.
