I stayed here during a week long work trip. Everyone that worked here was very nice and friendly. They have a bar in the lobby which is a very nice amenity in my book. Unfortunately, things are a bit over-priced. I got a coffee from there one of the mornings I stayed and it was over $5. For a coffee. Anyway, the room was gigantic with a couch, coffee table, and desk. The bathroom was a little bit tight. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was on the smaller size but water pressure was adequate and it was very hot. I had no issues with noise, slept well. The location isn't bad with a bunch of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The housekeeping service is every other day and they do a solid job. I did stay in the room until 11:30am one morning tey were supposed to clean and they didn't that day, which was a bummer. I would and will stay here again read more

I booked by calling directly. I had to change my original booking so did so by phone again. I saw the email come through with change but didn't notice only the the departure date was updated (my fault for not noticing). Upon arrival I was told no vacancy only to learn there was INDEED vacancy. I frequent here often when I travel to this work location. I was treated as a 2nd rate citizen while being told they had no vacancy. They were stating the internet site wasn't updated yet and that is why it showed room availability. A bit of push back on my behalf and it turned out they did indeed have vacancy which was finally provided to me. We could have avoided a lot of aggravation of they would have just booked me like they ended up doing at the end rather than the treatment that I received. read more

Our room smelled strongly of sweat despite appearing clean. We tried to get breakfast at 10am on Sunday at the hotel, whose hours advertise 630am-2pm. We were turned away and told they were closing up at 10am. There was no place to get ice or fill up a water bottle on our floor - I had to go to the gym to find a water fountain. read more

Clean room, unfortunately the entire hotel seemed overtaken by huge groups of young kids attending a sporting event. No way any sane person would venture into the pool or hot tub with all those kids. I can't imagine..... yuck. The noise was unbearable, it was like attending a yelling festival while standing in the middle of a 50 yard dash at an elementary school field day. Screaming and yelling, running up and down halls. Not relaxing and enjoyable. The parents were not in control. The whole place was a giant playground. I see why the hotel had issued earplugs. Next time I will wisely call ahead to see if any groups are staying there. I never experienced anything like it. Hotel management was absent, or work from home. The Courtyard in St. Cloud is decent for a stay if you are in the area. This is not your standard Courtyard - it is a retrofitted hotel with the Courttyard banner. The lobby in here was pretty lively when I stayed and they keep some music bumping. The staff was nice and got me checking in quickly. This hotel is right near St. Cloud State University and all the downtown restaurants and bars. My king suite was pretty large, but sort of outdated. The bed was pretty soft, but the pillows wouldn't keep their shape. The linens could use replacement and the overall comfort level was average. I am guessing these rooms have seen some wild nights based on their location near a college campus. They did have a nice high power shower that woke up really nicely! There is a restaurant and bar in the lobby. It was pretty packed when I got back from dinner on a Wednesday night. They know how to have fun in St. Cloud! read more

Pleasantly surprised with my stay here this week. Lots of hotels in St Cloud but not much quality. The Courtyard by Marriott is an exception. Very clean and nicely decorated lobby and bistro area. I had an issue with my first assigned room but the friendly staff got me taken care of and moved right away. The rooms are well appointed with a bed on one side, an island dresser, couch, wet bar with a microwave. Bathroom was very nice. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Did not honor check in time. Rooms were not ready. We were told we could get dressed in a bathroom in the pool area in order to catch a shuttle to the wedding we were attending. NO KIDDING! Unbelievable. Finally got into one room out of two booked months in advance so the family got dressed in one room. I've stayed in Marriott for many years on business and had good experiences. Still awesome! The service is second to none. this is my go-to-place when attending a conference at the Rivers Edge. Used the fitness center this time. Each piece of equipment has its own TV. Bring your corded headphones though. Very clean. Small but has enough to do to stay in shape for the visit. Also used the whirlpool and pool. Very clean and comfortable. Can't wait to go back for the next visit. The King rooms are very nice! read more

We stood at the bar for a full seven minutes, trying to get the attention of the bartender, who had her back to us. Without some sort of visual signaling device, the very-focused bartender did not know to take a break from wiping down bottles to greet us. Very frustrating. I stayed here almost every week for 3 months, and I only have glowing things to say about the staff. Some of the friendliest people around, and I genuinely looked forward to checking in every week. The rooms themselves were clean, and compared to some other hotels in the area, this is a great location. The downsides here were that some rooms could be fixed up (leaky faucets, creaky showers, etc.) and that the gym was small. Other than that though, I had a great experience here. If I ever find myself in this area again, I'll be staying here in a heartbeat. read more

The employees here are the only bright spot, and saved this courtyard from being a 1star. Unfortunately, while we travel 60-70 nights a year, are BonVoy members, and almost exclusively stay in Marriott branded properties, this is the hands down ugliest, most disgusting, and disrepaired property we have seen to date, with the prices very overpriced for the quality. While this is a franchised, not corporate owned property, it is hard to believe that Marriott has allowed their esteemed name to be tarnished with this property. Many items, including air conditioning, elevators, chairs and room furnishings, floor coverings, etc... broken or completely worn, beds sagging and no longer comfortable, and I had to go to the front desk and have my room rekeyed every time I came back to the room, because the electronic module would not retain memory. We were charged for parking which we were never told about, and only had it show up on our checkout receipt, which is completely unsecured, a public lot, and otherwise free during non event hours, and non school months. This hotel is Marriott in name and pricing only, and does not participate in any Marriott programs. They are also a service requested hotel, and will not provide any in room cleaning service unless requested, and have done absolutely nothing to alert the public of such (there are no signs, no postings, and no in room placards to identify as such. We were told of this, only after directly asking the front desk staff, after our room not being cleaned) read more

When I have an event in St. Cloud I tend to stay the night before. I was to be at the library so this was recommended. I was shocked at how huge the room was, actually the bedroom was separate, with its own TV. The living room is like hanging out at home.The pizza place I reviewed was right across the street and delivered to your door. They had a sale on a large.This was late winter so I kept the box in the window and it was fine to bring to the TC the next day. The bathroom is the best. A generous rim on the tub to put your stuff. They use Paul Mitchell products and the Lemon Sage body lotion was heavenly. The staff was great, and I parked in the convention lot and went the long way around. Someone got my car for me at check out, and I was so grateful I gave her a tip. Next time I'll just pull up to the front, duh. This is surrounded by fabulous non-chain restaurants. read more

I haven't stayed at this hotel in 2 years, when it was a Radisson. As far as I could tell, the only change is the name. The service is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant there is pretty decent. I had dinner there with co-workers and it was decent. I had a NY strip with bordelaise sauce, topped with mushrooms, and a side of asparagus. It was good, although not mind blowing. I'll definitely come back and stay here the next time I'm in St Cloud. read more

I stayed here with my girlfriend after a local wedding and had a great experience. I liked that they had the option for a queen bed suite, so that I could save money compared to a king but still have the extra space of the suite. That put the price a little below most of the other local hotels, for what I would consider a higher quality and better location. I also appreciated the noon checkout time. I'm not an early riser, so it was nice not to feel rushed. The service was fantastic. All the staff we worked with seemed genuinely nice instead of just customer-service nice. As someone who works with the public everyday, I found it to be very refreshing. We didn't use any of the extras like the pool or restaurant, so I can't comment on those. All things considered, I'd stay there again without any questions if I ever find myself in St. Cloud again. read more

I had a week stay here for a work trip. Work paid for the week stay in advance and they scanned my personal card at check in just for incidentals. Day of checkout, I saw they charged the entire stay on my card. I called, they said sorry and fixed it. Two days later I saw another charge so I called, they said sorry and that they would fix it. They did, again, and two days later I saw another charge for the entire stay on my card. I called and spoke with the front desk manager who said the whole mistake is because the person who checked me in "swiped over" the company card accidentally so they needed to speak with my work to get the original card info. At this point I was really upset because it was my third time calling about the same issue and kept getting different excuses. I mean a small charge? Sure, no big deal, but an entire weeks stay? Ridiculous. I spoke with work, they said they would call and take care of it. A week later the charge was still there. Followed up with work and they said they were under the impression the issue was fixed... this time I requested to speak with the general manager. I got a hold of the GM, Abdul, who said it's their policy to always charge the incidental card for the entire stay for security reasons. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never heard anything like this before. Also, why is this excuse now just coming up two weeks later on the 5th call to them? I had to call work again about this place and they ended up having to mail me a check to reimburse me - but not before asking "what kind of shady place did they book you at?" Come to St. Cloud frequently as my company is based here. This is my go to hotel in the area. It is conveniently located downtown with a great selection of food and bars nearby. Parking is adjacent to the hotel. Rates are reasonable and the rooms are nice for the business traveler. Onsite bistro serves a great breakfast and Starbucks coffee. read more

This place is gross. Blood stains on the sheets, pubic hair all over the bathroom and the showers are in desperate need of bleach. I asked to be moved, which I was. The new room had hair all over the bathroom as well, the shower was the size of one you would find on a small boat or RV, and needed a serious bleaching. read more

Super awkward parking situation -- needed to walk through a wedding reception in order to get from the parking ramp to the front desk. When asked if there was a different route, the girl at the front desk looked at me like I had 2 heads and told me "no?" with a question mark at the end, like she didn't even know what I was talking about. Check-in time is 3 PM, but when we arrived at 4:30, our room wasn't ready. We were told we could have free breakfast for the inconvenience, which could have been a nice gesture, but they didn't give us anything to validate that. No coupon, no code, nothing that we could have actually used to vouch for the fact that we were to get free breakfast. read more

Was here for a work conference. Called about a week ahead to book the room. Was to receive an email confirmation, none received. A day or two later I called back, was placed on "hold"- more like someone sat the phone down and forgot about me. After 7 minutes of listening to coworkers talk about nonwork stuff I hung up and called back. I got my email corrected yet still didn't get a confirmation...oh boy I was unsure how this place was going to be. Arrived for conference...no early check in if the room is ready, no exceptions. Parking is shared with contract parking which seems confusing at first. I was told there was a continental breakfast upon booking - there is none! There is a bistro that is over priced and has limited options but works for food on site. There are plenty of places within walking distance. Checkin was smooth and didn't take but only a few minutes. The pool was COLD...had to really work to get in and the hot tub was HOT..which was great. Pool was 3.5 feet to and at deep end 5 feet. Also a sauna. Pool could have been much warmer. Room itself was awesome. Quiet. Had a double queen bed with sleeper sofa. The sofa, bath, kitchenette, desk, and TV was in one room. The double beds in another room with a TV and separate temp control AC/Heat unit. Room was very clean. read more

However, now that I read the other reviews, the issues about poor notification (ie:pool area) have been going on for well over 6months. ------------------------- I wanted to email you about a disappointing experience that happened to me today. I reserved a room a couple of months in advance at your hotel, to stay for one night on 5/12/15. On 5/11/15 @ 2pm I got a "courtesy call" from Hannah to inform me that the recreation area was under renovation. Hannah "I wanted to let you know that the pool area is closed, so that you will not be surprised when you arrive tomorrow at check in." Me "Oh, I didn't see anything online about that." Hannah "We are working to put that on our website." Me "How long have the renovations been going on?" Hannah "About a year." Me "One year. You have known about this for one year?" Hannah "Well the pool area only started last month." Me "So you knew about the issue you are calling me about for one month, the renovation has been occurring for one year, and you chose to inform me, as a "courtesy" one DAY before my stay?" Hannah "Well I can connect you with the Kelley Inn." Me "There is a conference occurring this week. What are the chances that I can get a room exactly 24hrs before check in, to a hotel adjoining the conference center?" Hannah "I do apologize." Well, I booked a room all the way across town where I can have access to the full amenities that I am paying for. I have stayed in your hotel in the past a handful of times, and I had truly enjoyed it. However, I do not consider the courtesy that was extended to be adequate. It would have been a courtesy if upon reservation to know that the hotel was under construction, or a month in advance. But 24hrs is not enough time to re-adjust my trip to St Cloud and find a new location with the amenities that meet the needs of the trip. I believe that the part that made me the most upset was the bait-and-switch. Since the renovations have been occuring for a year, why isn't that highlighted on your website, or mentioned when a customer is booking? To tell someone 24hrs before their stay, makes it impossible to find a hotel in time close enough to the event center. Therefore, I am sure many of the customers who are upset with the poor notification, have no choice but to stay with the current reservation at your hotel. I will reflect my displeasure of false advertising of available and accessable amenities in my honest online review. read more

I was late making reservations where everyone else was at and glad I was! This place is great. Fantastic service, top notch rooms, and was even closer then the other place to all if the events at the convention center. They accommodated with early check in so my bride didn't have to font alternative things to do while I was away at workshops. We will be back again next year! read more

It's hard to give this hotel a number due to it being under renovation. As others have noted, you don't get a heads up on that when reserving a room online. The main entrance is closed and instead of having a big sign to redirect people, there is an 8.5x11 sign taped to the front door informing you of the two entrances that are open. If you come in from the parking garage as we did, again the signs are lacking. The lobby is really rough but fortunately the last area that they are renovating. The rooms are done but rolled up carpet in the hallway should have been removed a long time ago. The room is lovely in most respects. The two queen leave very little room for maneuvering in the bedroom, however. The extra chair in the living area is very modern and chic looking but has no comfort value. It has no arm rests! There is a nice bar sink, microwave and fridge area, but a total miss on lighting. No recessed lighting in that area at all. It's hard to imagine how their designer would not have thought of that. I would give this hotel another try once renovations were done. read more

Lipstick on a pig. The employees here are trash and there's a total disconnect from placing your reservation/order through the Marriott app versus dealing with the people working here. None of the prices or membership rewards were honored. The staff was completely cold and robotic, too. I should've dealt with an extra mile drive and stayed at the Fairfield Inn instead; same damn price with better service, also owned by Marriott. The Marriott app allows you to place room service orders or request extra towels or non-featyer pillows, but the staff doesn't acknowledge the requests and just mark their notifications as "read" without fulfilling the accommodation. Also, the app said the place had a pool and complementary breakfast; however, this was incorrect. I had to pay for breakfast at the "Bistro" restaurant and the pool was closed due to "maintenance". These are items I had to find out on my own after checking-in, but the employees couldn't care less as it was business as usual to them--showing up was all they had to do. Actually honoring the services the customer was paying for wasn't ever a consideration. This hotel is garbage and overpriced. Oh, and the Internet was terribly slow. You have to pay $5/day for high-speed Internet, despite the ads saying otherwise. read more

While the service was great, the room was awesome, and the restaurant catered to my every need, the biggest letdown was that the hotel is located across from one of the busiest night clubs in the city. Staying here for five nights, and on the last night I finally was able to go to bed without tremendous noise across the street. The worst hotel experience that I have ever had! The hotel is in the process of becoming the Marriott hotel, and is undergoing some major renovations. It sounded like a construction site, starting at 7am until 9pm. I had to call twice to ask them to be more quiet, or to move me somewhere more quiet; they did neither. It was very dusty; a bad place for someone with allergies. There was only one working elevator that took a long time to use, and the stairwell reeked of cigarette smoke. So, if you are a smoker, this is a great place for a cig break. The gym and swimming pool was closed. The only perk was the new furniture (except the bed was hard), and the friendly staff. The hotel cleaners did a great job trying to keep the rooms looking great with all the dust. I am sure this will be a great hotel when the renovations are done, but for now, stay clear! The reason I gave the hotel three stars was because after I complained to the hotel staff they gave me a gift certificate to their restaurant to apologize for my experience. No waiting around like many other hotels we have been to. No complaints at all about the hotel itself. However..... I did take a star off for the external noise. Restaurants/bars outside our window. Very loud around from about 12am-2am on a Friday night (Saturday morning). Also not real happy that their waste removal service for these same bars showed up at 5am to empty the dumpsters.
