Treat tray was empty and she didn't mention the "park your car around the back" sign( early phone call the next morning). Last minute room needed and this place was close to where we needed to be. Staff was friendly and attentive- especially with breakfast time and check out. We had an incident with our toddler getting sick and needed to use their laundry facility- only problem was that most of the places close were closed due to the time but they also didn't have any soap??? Said something about their usual vendor usually supplies them but didn't bring them any this time around? I know the launder the sheets/towels/etc I was confused that I couldn't purchase any soap whatsoever so that we could clean my toddlers blanket. So we inquired about their dry cleaning but the girl wasn't sure and said we would have to wait until the manager came in the morning to answer that question. We usually keep to ourselves and never need assistance but the one time we do no one was really able to help us. Ended up driving to the family we were visiting to use their washer instead. Defeats the whole purpose of advertising that residents can use the guest laundry facility. Also breakfast was eh. Always good with the standard waffles and breads. Eggs were not real (or at least didn't seem to be) and pretty scarce. Never any fruit or meats available even as early as 7am. No room service but they do have a snack area where they sell overpriced bags of chips and water etc. Next time we know to take our chances and try another place. read more

Chose this hotel only because it was Marriott. Extremely disappointed in the quality. Water stains on ceiling, bathtub not drain at all, no USB ports (had to go to Walmart to buy adapter), dingy room carpet, stains on elevator carpet - Gross. For 150. and the Marriott name, expected better. Should have stayed at new Holiday Inn across the street. read more

This hotel is extremely understaffed. Our toilet wouldn't flush unless we opened the tank and filled it with water from the tub. We found tooth flossers in the corner of the bathroom floor. The pool is small(not a big deal) but the acoustics in the pool area are terrible. if there is more than 4 people in the pool, you can't hear anything. There was also duck tape covering cracks on the windows. The one person that was working was doing their best. But unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay their again. read more

It pains me to write this review............... Why? Because I really liked my stay here. Every staff member was so pleasant. You know, Minnesota nice... All white, of course... My shock was checking the drawers for clothes upon packing and finding not only an empty drawer with the Gideons bible but also that book of mormon. I didn't realize (or didn't remember) that all the Marriotts were LDS owned. I never really cared because I have always believed letting people believe in whatever they want. But now it's different. The LDS church has rallied their members to tithe millions of dollars to support prop 8 in CA which was to "amend"/really revise the CA constitution to deny people of the same gender the right to marry. And by popular vote, prop 8 passed because of the money and because of the poor management of the "no on 8" campaign. But since so many LDS members used money to take away my rights, I thinks my advocates should also take a stand, a financial stand, and not spend money at establishments owned/managed by the LDS church. So...don't stay here.......... read more

This place is horrible has no employees. Guy at the front desk can't even put two words together. On top of that he gave me a room that wasn't even clean and had sugar packets and ripped pieces of paper on the floor and proceeded to find it ok for us to stay in there. This place is a fucking NPC lobby in some Sims game. Lady that cleaned our room doesn't even work here she is a hooker. Hooks got a technical and none of his rooms were clean. Towels were not clean and had poop stains all over them. Would rather stay at my friend Sam's place then this garbage ass hotel. read more

Stayed here for a quick overnighter and saw that the hotel could use updating in all areas..just avg rooms and not very comfortable beds. All public areas were closed because of Covid and staff were not very friendly..as was the town itself very unfriendly and no one seemed to smile... read more

NO! Seriously! If every Marriott had an AIZA, every Marriott would be a destination to look forward to visiting! My stay was alright at this location. I have been staying at some really bad locations recently so this was a positive and refreshing change from the typical Marriott stay, circling the drain. The room was clean and quiet. 03/02/2019: Excellent service by entire staff, very accomodating. So friendly, too! Wonderful continental breakfast is well-stocked with a lot of choices. Very clean rooms. Location is very close to shopping and restaurants. Indoor pool is small but nice. The small, snow-packed parking lot was difficult to navigate but I blame that on Mother Nature, not on the staff. Very pleasant stay, from start to finish. Will definitely be back! read more

This is a business person's hotel with some nice perks. They offer free high-speed internet access (wireless), a decent breakfast buffet with "make-your-own" waffles, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, pastries, breads and bagels. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a fridge and microwave and you can acquire Mariott points to boot! Shower is normal, pool is a bit small, but hey, I wasn't there to swim. I left a bit late one day and ran into the housekeeper. She asked if I wanted my room serviced and I told her it wasn't neccessary. When I returned the room was done! Nice job! read more

I haven't stayed at a lot of hotels in Saint Cloud, but after my stay at this Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites I can safely say that it is among your best options. It is conveniently located near Division and 15, within walking distance to a number of restaurants and services. Rates were reasonable and they had several rooms available the weekend I was in town. I was more than impressed by my stay from check in to check out. The hotel is clean and professional and the few staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful. There isn't anything flashy here, but I'm a fan. If you need a simple hotel in central Minnesota, this will work just fine. read more

First impression was good nice clean lobby great staff. Then I heard the people in the pool...went to my floor...heard everyone in their rooms and you can hear everything in the halls. When we arrived at 10pm I was shocked how loud the lobby was and that the pool was open to midnight. And there were a lot of loud people in their rooms as we walked down the hall to our room. However when we got into our room it was very nice. Clean bathroom nice bed, although not very spacious. I hear a few people in the hall before we went to bed but not a peep after. And the person at the front desk said breakfast was at 7 which was disappointing because we needed to leave by 6:30. But when we checked out the food was already out so we got breakfast which I was very happy for. All in all a pretty good hotel. read more

Service is authentically kind, concerned and helpful, room is clean, great hit breakfast of eggs, bacon and sausage, and the decor is modern and crisp. Saw lots of people enjoying the indoor pool. This is one of the hardest reviews im going to write. I have so many postitive things to say about this hotel, so many. Check in, the employees were fantastic. Over the top nice, helpful, and friendly, by far the best check in Ive ever been through. I even booked rough a 3rd party (I get a discount through work) and I didn't even get the usual scrunch face like I do at other places when they see I used a third party. Our room was immaculate. Probably the top cleanest room I've ever stayed in, truly. No stains, not holes, no weird smells, not 1 missed hair, totally immaculately clean. Breakfast was great, and again the attendant was so nice, friendly and chatty. Warm eggs, muffins, sausage, waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. good variety. Location was also really close to the mall and shopping, and easy to navigate. Why am I giving this 2 stars? Because of the paper thin walls. We stayed two nights, and got woken up repeatedly because of our neighbors. Were they loud, no. They were just talking in normal voices, but they may as well have been sitting in our room chatting because I could hear just about every word crystal clear. When they showered in the morning, we also woke up....again it was loud enough that I could have believed I was actually IN the shower. The main purpose of our stay was to use the room to sleep...we got little to no sleep, and because of this I cannot give it a good rating. We would, sadly, not stay here again. The hotel is nice, but the lack of training of their staff is absolutely disgusting. I have never waited an hour to get a receipt print out by the front desk Mary. Seriously? I am actually never got it... I been feeling sick and came downstairs just to get a soup and a few other things and to snack on. I been here since 11:30pm and there was no one on the desk then fanally someone name Mary shows up and try to run what I purchase after a few times she finally approves it, but she didn't print out my receipt. I ask her for it as I need it to show my travel expenses and it needs to show that it was purchase before midnight. To my surprise she didn't know how to. Then she decides to call another hotel in another city to ask them how to print out and find my receipt. Well, the guy at the other hotel didn't understood her so she actually past me the phone so I can speak to him. The guy was completely confused of what was going on, as was I. I explain to him that she is trying to find my purchase and print out my receipt. The gentelmen ask me to speak to her. She try a few times until the guy said that he was going to call her back, which he never did. After awhile of waiting she decided to call someone else (I am guessing hee manager ) which was not of any help either because it was already 1:30am and no receipt still. I finally had it! I told her that this was completely unacceptable and the they can keep the items, and I walk out to my room... I check my account and not only I got charge for my intended purchase of $20 worth of snacks, but also a $1 for who know what? I count belive this and I when down and told her that I was charge and she told me not to worry and that everything will be reimburse to my account and that I could take the items at not charge....Well, well the very next morning I got charge for my room which it was already prepaid thru Expedia and was showing an address from Montana...Montana? Seriously? I call the front desk, and guess who answers me...Mary. I could belive it, she told me that she didn't understood why I was getting charge. I was like "neither do I" thankfully a day manage show up and talk to me explain that they some time do that since it was purchase from a third party. (I travel A LOT and never heard of that, but I left it like that for now) I guess I will find out when accounting start asking me about this charge... A day after I decide to check on my account and to my surprise the charges for the attempted snacks purchase were still in my account. I just amazed...I am flying back to LA in the morning and I will have to call them back on Monday or Tuesday and find out what are they going to do with their incompetent...I don't blame the desk lady, but their managers to allowed someone to be on their own without a full trying and protocol. We used to stay in Minneapolis when traveling, but a few years ago decided to make our day a bit shorter and stop in St Cloud. So glad we did! Staying here is now our choice every trip. We even ended up staying here a few extra nights when the interstate was closed. As close to home as I've ever felt in a hotel. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly staff. Great pool. Excellent free breakfast. Lady at the front desk - I forgot her name. Something kind of funny. Anyway, makes you feel as if she knows you and she's quite a hoot!! Typical Fairfield however we did have a few issues with the room. We had ordered a rollaway prior and it wasn't put in the room for another 15-20 minutes. Also the toilet wouldn't flush so we really couldn't use it for our whole stay- making us use the one in the lobby a few times. The breakfast was good and the room was spacious enough.
