They don't keep the street out front clean now and there was litter. I've been having a hard time writing this review. I have really mixed feelings about my experience…read moreat The Lily Inn. I'll start with the pros: The Inn itself was beautiful and charming. It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.

During out visit we used the Rancocas Room. It was always clean with plenty of space, tables and chairs. They are prepared to handle jobs big and small. The hotel has a pool and gym. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

I booked for kids spring break with spending time in pool. Well the pool was shut down for maintenance that afternoon unfortunately too late for me to cancel our stay. It stayed shutdown for 2 days. My kids were extremely upset as was I. I could've stayed home & spent the $$ on day trips instead. So I had to entertain them a different way with $$ I hadn't planned on spending. When the pool was finally reopened the bathroom in the pool area was(is) broken or under construction, whichever it's a grave inconvenience, there were no towels, the area was cold should've been heated. Another patron in the water was shedding excessively as she constantly jumped in the water spreading her clumps of hair throughout the pool. So my family & I were scooping hair out of the water and trying to keep away from our kids. Ohhhh. The 2nd room was checked in on the 8th and was absolutely filthy. The beds had to be changed twice, we had to clean the bathroom (always bring cleaning &disinfectant products with us), all surfaces wiped before we could settle my family in. But because of having to do our own cleaning the family that was supposed to be in that room, had to stay in my room for hours as we aired out the chemical smell after OCD cleaning fit. And the refrigerator had to be replaced. We were in a non-smoking hotel and all u smelled in the hallway 2nd fl was smoke. The patrons above us thought 12a-5a was jump off the bed & stomping time. The noise was horrible . This was supposed to be a relaxing week of swimming. Not what we experienced at all. Front desk personnel was like things happen ‍.

To my horror, I watched the maid use the same rag to wipe down the toilet, then immediately use it to clean the sink--without changing it. I was stunned and stopped her, asking if I had really just seen her clean the toilet with that rag. She looked confused and said I don't understand. My sister came in to help clarify, and the maid then apologized, saying she would clean it again. The maids also clean your tub and floors with your dirty towels. When I spoke to the front desk, she said maybe the maid forgot and assured me she would speak to management. I then told her that this makes me think this goes on daily at this hotel. This was an upsetting experience. Everyone, please be careful! SMH.

I went and checked it out, kicking under the beds, punching around behind doors. The beds were super wrinkled, as was my mom's, and the room looked like it had been used. When we went back downstairs to talk to the front desk. There were no more rooms avai. Asked for fresh sheets. They had one set of fresh sheets, and zero access to cleaning supplies or additional linens. So I ended up sleeping on a top sheet and 3 towels. Luckily, I was a girl scout. it didn't help that the room was dilapidated and everything looked dingy. I cleaned the entire room front door all the way through. Just to feel comfortable enough to sleep for a few hours in this horrible place. Pair it up with dirty carpets, a broken shower rod, and a dilapidated shower. Between the light with a short outside of my window blinking incessantly the entire night, noise from the hallway, and the light from under the door I only got 2 and a 1/2 hours of sleep. In addition to all this, someone must have been smoking in an adjacent room because my allergies were flaring so badly from the smoke seeping in. I ended up ill the next 2 days. The only silver lining was the really friendly guy who checked us in late in the evening. Other than a single friendly employee, you need to revamp this hotel.

Stopped in late last night…read morebecause 1) we were exhausted from driving and 2) it was close to the highway and would make getting back on the road easier. I am really regretting our decision. Firstly, our room was not clean. The bed was made and it appears the sheets had been changed, but that was about it. The room had an unpleasant, musty smell to it. The bathroom floor was sticky (I'm really hoping it wasn't urine) and it didn't appear anything had been wiped down - there was also a bunch of hair, etc on the floor behind the bathroom door. (see photo) This hotel also has one of the most uncomfortable, hard beds I have ever slept in. Even though we used the room heater, we were freezing all night with the thin blankets they give you or the bed. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Do yourself and favor and DO NOT STAY HERE.

He also had no shoes on, which was odd. We had zero help and our hotel room was wide open with the bed still messy and unmade. I was absolutely shocked. Holes in blankets, weird black stuff in the tub. Very musty smell, even in the office. Save yourself the headache and pick somewhere else.

Some have been less than desirable but I was able to make it work. However, I must say that this was the most disgusting experience I have ever had! First, the location was not the cleanest and did not look as welcoming as the advertised pictures. The exterior of the building was not well maintained. The pool was not operational nor was the fitness center. The elevator was not working so I had to lug my bags upstairs to the second floor. The stairwell was sticky and I was hesitant to touch the rails. There was no air conditioning in the hallway...in August! Then, the key cards did not work. Had to call the front desk to come and open the door with the master key for the entire weekend! The hotel guests seemed like they are experiencing hard times. I was a bit concerned for my safety especially since the side doors remained unlocked all night. You never knew who night be roaming the halls. Next, let's talk about the room. It appeared clean enough all things considered. However, there were missing pillowcases, the sleeper sofa was sunken, and there was a dip in the middle of the king-sized bed. Definitely not luxurious by any means. Plus, there were no towels and the front desk staff acted like they were being imposed upon to provide them. SMH! The kicker happened Saturday night. I was lying in bed watching TV and heard all this rustling. I thought perhaps it was the air conditioning rustling the plastic bags sitting on the coffee table. NOPE! It was a MOUSE digging in the plastic garbage bag I had left on the floor after I had eaten because there was no garbage can in the room. OMG! I called the front desk several times while the mouse dug around in the bag quite contentedly. When the hotel staff eventually arrived, they said "We had been doing so well [with the mice]!" And, of course, by that time, the mouse was nowhere to be seen. They said they would see what they could do and sent maintenance who said they could put out traps. I was like NO! I am not staying in a room with mouse traps. I packed up my stuff and was prepared to sleep in my car if needed. "Fortunately" they were able to put me in another room for the night. I could not wait to get out of that place! BOTTOM-LINE - It's a hard NO for me! The rooms cost too much to have to put up with these conditions. Your money would be better spent at another establishment!
