We booked a Friday pick-up and a Saturday drop-off. The U-Haul owner called me the Monday before our booking and suggested we pick up the truck Thursday night instead. Stating it would be $.88 a mile if I picked it up Thursday, versus $1.20 a mile on Friday. He said weekend rates are higher and that rate includes Fridays. I asked why he was being so thoughtful and said, "just wanted to help you save a few extra dollars." ... Who does that?! He also noticed a bunch of extra stuff we were getting charged for that typically people never rent. We booked through the app and I must just said, "YES" to everything to speed up the process; not knowing I was also adding boxes, tape, appliance dollys, mirror covers, literally everything they offer. I feel like there's a few biz owners that would let that slide and charge your card without saying a word. Fingers crossed I never move again, but if I do Jim at Rodeo U-Haul Rentals is my guy!

Several days later my son was contacted and it was stated that the truck he wanted to rent and reserved is no longer available, they did offer a solution of a larger truck, it just is not a fit for us. We contacted the Clovis location to see if the same size truck needed was available. This is where we happily encountered Jackie. Not only did she assure it that she had a truck, she also was completely willing and offered to take care of the reservation on her end to reduce any stress on myself or son to complete the rental correctly. Jackie verified all info and stated I will call you back shortly! Not only did she call back in an extremely timely manner, she called back with an update that she got, let me know the email address was not entered completely on my end kindly and asked to fix it and was ready to go to send the new confirmation to the corrected email address! Jackie you made this a noooooo hassle switch and you assumed all responsibility to assist a customer that had not originally booked with you. Jackie also did exactly what she stated she would dot then gave extremely efficient information to assist us to make an informed decision for the up sale. I will now go out of my way to make sure Jackie gets the recognition she deserves with Budget Truck rental and with Costco customer service!!! Antonio helped me first by finding me a bigger truck than I had originally reserved because the original reservation was no longer available, and he also got me the bigger truck at the same price as the smaller truck. He was very friendly, quick, professional, and above all very helpful. Antonio went out of his way to come in so that I was able to drop the truck off after hours, so that I was able to go back home in another city instead of having to waste money and buy a hotel and stay a night when I didn't need to. Antonio is why I'll use budget truck again when I move once more in 6-7 months.

We didn't even finish the job. The owners of Save Sum were quite understanding since we did not abuse the machine. They charged the 4 hours minimum which I thought was extremely fair.
