I sent the message I have posted here in my review as a direct message on Facebook so the…read moremanagement could respond and have a chance to address my experience after visiting, but after reading the message, they never responded. I waited a few weeks but still have heard nothing back. Here is what I sent: Good afternoon! I wanted to bring my recent first visit and experience to your attention because I know reviews can greatly affect an establishment. My friend and I came to your restaurant around 10:45 Saturday morning. The server took our drink orders, then came back about five minutes later and asked again what we were drinking, then corrected herself, noting what drinks we requested. She came back not too long after with our drinks. We then noted we were ready to order, and she took our orders by memory. I was a bit concerned because she already forgot we had given her our drink orders earlier, but I went with the flow.
After about 15-20 minutes, another server came by, placed our ticket on the table, and kept walking. I thought maybe that was placed on our table by mistake, so I looked at it, and sure enough, there was our order. However, the problem was, we had not received our food yet. Within a few minutes, our server came by and asked, "Cash or card?" I replied, "We haven't received our food yet." She looked confused, talked to the other server, and then came back to let us know the kitchen needed the ticket.
It was then that it was brought to our attention our server had never put in our food order until that point. No apology was given for the delay either. At this point it was well into lunchtime by the time we received our food.
While waiting for our food, a table that had been there before we had received their food, except for a small child there. Usual practice at restaurants is to make sure the child gets their food first, as their patience is lacking, and to prevent others from being disrupted by a potentially unhappy child. The child noticed right away and blurted out, "Where is my food?" Thankfully the child's food came within 7-10 minutes.
Once we got our food, it was quite good, but I wanted to bring this to your attention because there are many great brunch and breakfast spots in Thomasville that offer phenomenal service and that competition will make it difficult for you all to keep customers coming back and not venturing to those restaurants.
I also see you have been trying to find good help, so instead of blasting a new restaurant online, I wanted to bring it to your attention instead because I like to support local and think you have good food.
