Again! Coming back for more, this time we did ordered actual macarons! We are going to friends house, they said to bring some desserts, so here we go! First thing that popped into mind was this place lol. High quality packaging! And they smell so delicious, they might not make it to our friend's house, at least not all of them =)

I've seen the signs for this pop-up bakery for weeks and finally had time to stop in and am glad I did! Super friendly and everything tasted amazing. I came at 1pm (close to closing), and they still had a little bit of stock, but I'll try coming earlier next time. Prices are reasonable, and they are creative with their flavors! I asked to be walked through the flavors and how ordering works and they happily did so. I was told that if I were to leave with one thing that day, I should try the almond croissant - and they were right. It was so good. It's hard to explain...the texture isn't as flaky as croissants I've had in the past. It's better. The flavors were amazing. I could have been happy with just that. But of course, since I was there, I tried other things as well! The chocolate mini cake was divine. It cut smoothly and was velvety smooth. Loved the crunch elements in there as well. Highly recommend! For my half-dozen macarons, I tried the red velvet, coffee, passion fruit, dark chocolate, butter pecan, and...one other that I can't remember right now. All of them were delicious. My favorite of the bunch was probably the butter pecan, or maybe the dark chocolate. I can't wait to go back! They told me that they bake whatever comes to mind (other than the classics), so I'll be sure to come earlier to have a taste!

A rare place that actually makes GOOD macarons! Superb, really. Rocq sells online and at Whole Foods but on Saturdays they open their bakery, which resides in an industrial area of Foothill Ranch, as a "pop up" store. You can check their Facebook page for exact hours but they are usually limited to morning and early afternoon. They sell croissants, little cakes, and macarons. I purchased a pack of 12 as a gift and a pack of 6 for myself. When you go into the "pop up" you can choose your flavors unlike online ordering which has pre-packaged flavors. Each macaron had a lightly crisp cookie and each and every filling had a vibrant flavor. A person has no problem determining the taste! I had a blood orange, chocolate caramel, coffee, vanilla bean, coconut, and a seasonal flavor - eggnog. The eggnog was distinctly eggnoggy - any eggnog lover will enjoy it. My other favorites were the coconut and the coffee; the latter was the best coffee macaron I've ever had. But all were fantastic - not a one disappointed. The folks working here were exceptionally friendly and enthusiastically answered my numerous questions (and even surprised me with a delicious passion fruit macaron to sample - a definite yummy score!). Veteran yelper Kelley U. has been telling me about Rocq Macarons for years and I'm a dunce to have taken so long to try them because they are incredible!

It's not quite what I imagined as a "pop up French bakery" but if you want macarons and petite cakes, this is definitely your place. The store front is only open to the public on Saturday's from 9 am to 2 pm. I came in around 12 pm and saw a few customers as I arrived. As you walk in there's a small display case of petite cakes. They had everything from a chocolate flourless cake, creme brulee, and other colorful cakes. I haven't tried any but all looks good. In terms of macarons they had a good selection of flavors. You can pick any flavor and make your own box. Smallest is a 6 count assortment. I picked out all the colorful looking ones for my daughter but she definitely noticed the birthday cake one first. They only had 3 choices for their bread selection: plain roll, grain or sesame roll(??) and almond croissant. Not sure if I was late and everything else was sold out? I picked up one almond croissant though. The croissant was small but dense. Not flakey inside but rather cake like/macaron like. It tasted good though! Would definitely get again.

So glad we decided to try this "secret" pop-up bakery in Foothill Ranch on Saturday morning! The quality and flavor of all the pastries we got here were really on another level, both quality and flavor-wise. This is the actual factory location, which was a wholesale dessert, cake, and macaron supplier to many fine restaurants. Due to COVID-19 we now get to buy direct! We had a chocolate and raspberry mousse cake which was one of the best things I've ever tasted. It had spun sugar rolls on top and the filling was this incredible chocolate mousse. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of it and there it was nothing left within just a few minutes. We also got a large pack of macarons which everyone at the party agreed were the best they've ever had. The "cookie" part was like a thin shell instead of hard and crunchy. We also got a few amazing mini cakes which were also freaking amazing! We will definitely be back next week to stock up. Five stars!

Love their macaroons! Flourless, all natural, no preservatives or artificial dyes or flavors~ Gluten free! They have "Guilty Saturdays" at their store. You get better pricing coming in on Saturdays versus buying online. If order online, use Promo Code "Welcome" for 15% OFF on your first order (except on Saturdays). They ship nationwide, free shipping for California, Nevada and Arizona. Awesome gift idea for any occasion! The Shipping: 2-day maximum delivery

Every time that I'm back in town, visiting Rocq is a must! Super nice couple that make the best desserts in town. My favorite is their almond croissant (already eaten, no pictures). After that, I love their tarts, macarons, & olive bread. With that said, nothing I've ever gotten there has been anything short of stellar.

Lake Forest doesn't have too many open dessert places on a Sunday. So I was surprised to see this place was "open" on their Yelp. Was surprised to find an after hours vending machine. Super awesome and cooler than a certain cupcake chain. Such good quality mousse cakes, macarons and other dessert. Some of which I think you get instructions to take home and bake. We got mocha and double chocolate. Delicious and high quality taste and packaging. The after hours vending machine is in the back of the building near their front entrance. The machine take credit card.

good macaron, I like all the taste, my granddaughter love it so much, macaroon dark chocolate so good, give us try for three pieces before we order thanks

THE BEST DESSERTS! What I ordered: * Macarons * Dark Chocolate Mousse * Tiramisu * Ice Cream Macarons Sandwich: coffee flavor Macarons are definitely my favorite sweets so I'm extremely happy to have found this bakery that makes them so fresh and flavorful. Crisp, light, and not overly sweet - just perfect. I visited their pop-up shop in Lake Forest, they are there on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm! They also have a variety of desserts available at Whole Foods Market: cakes such as tiramisu, black and white mousse, creme brûlée, pistachio and strawberry panna cotta. Oh, don't forget to try their almond croissants, they're incredible! I definitely give them 5 stars!!!

These are definitely one of the best macarons I've ever had at such an affordable price! I was able to get a box of 24 with the following flavors: coconut, lavender, passionfruit, mango, key lime, and rose. The package arrived quickly, was neatly packed, and came with dry ice to keep my macarons fresh! Every single piece was baked to perfection and had just the right amount of flavor without being too sweet! I loved the lavender and mango the most, and my boyfriend enjoyed the coconut the most. The owners are also incredibly lovely, and it is clear that they are committed to the craft of fine French pastries! The attention to detail is unparalleled and the dedication to their customers' experience is incredible! I look forward to trying more flavors as well as their other pastries.

What is some prices in vending machine? Say for macaroons? Croissants?? I live close by but just wanted some info :)

Do you still have the vending machine? Does it work now? I miss it sooooo much Thank you for…

Hi 👋 I’m in the process of fixing it. I have some parts arriving this week and I’m hoping that fixes the problem once and for all 🤞

When do the treats sold from the vending machine expire?

Do you take special orders? I'm looking for someone to make a large (12pp) chocolate hazelnut tart? And the French make it so well.

What are the store hours on Sat?

    9:00am-2:00pm

Do you have Onions caramélisés Macarons? I ate once in Tustin on the 17th Street 😉

    No we don't . Sorry

Hi there, Do you accept special orders/bulk orders?

Hello Sorry for the late reply Yes we do 😊

I'd even say it has more milk or cream than coffee. It had a potent infusion of something like vanilla or cardamom that I liked, but I wouldn't get it again. Baklava ($6.50): 5/5. The best item I got from Vanilla Street Bakery. Decently sweet with a lovely balance of nuts, dough layers, and infused syrup. I appreciated that it wasn't dripping in a sugary solution; it's definitely more balanced than other baklava I've had. Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5.20): 2/5. A very pillowy, cakey cookie, yet dry and crumbly. The flaky salt on top was a nice touch, but its overall taste and texture didn't deliver a satisfying chocolate chip cookie. Spinach-feta roll ($6.90): 2/5. Staff kindly warmed this up for me without asking, and it looked nice and savory. However, it was extremely dry, doughy, and bland, with hardly any feta. Too bland to enjoy for $7. Eclair ($7.50): 3/5. Chocolate topping and custard filling were good, but the dough was quite dry. Pricey, too! Staff were patient and knowledgeable. Interior has a quaint, cutesy look to it, with different types of seating available. I saw people catching up with friends, reading, or working, so it has a relaxing atmosphere for whatever you feel like doing. In short: most of the pastries unfortunately were very expensive and not worth the cost based on how dry and/or bland they were. Additionally, the highly anticipated Raf Coffee seemed interesting but ended up being too creamy for a coffee drink.

From the start, you're welcomed with the fresh scent of baked bread, fresh pastries, and coffee. I ordered the Ronnie on rye and my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. It was such a delicious twist on a breakfast item to have a hot pastrami sandwich with egg, cheese, hash brown, and extra Dijon. Being pregnant, this was perfect. I tried my husband's eggs Benedict and it was delicious, as well. The bun was so soft and fluffy and created a great base for the dish. Finally, the coffees were nicely balanced and my half sweet vanilla latte had just the right amount of flavor. This cafe is bustling for good reason!
