I've relied on Rockywoods's to supply my repair business for many years. I feel incredibly fortunate to have them remain downtown Loveland-so convenient from Johnstown. Their hours are abbreviated for in person pick up orders so this requires extra planning, but not impossible. They ship quickly. They cruised right through Covid, continuing to do sidewalk meets and provide the service I needed so I could keep my business open too. From my point of view Selection could be broader but I think they carry the majority of what's popular in outdoor supplies. pricing is always good and they get style points for being willing to answer questions. customer service is lacking. When I received my order, none of the bags that the zippers were in were labeled. Turns out they sent the wrong zipper puller to me with the correct zipper. But the zipper puller didn't fit the zipper. Had to reach out and ask if they sent the wrong one. They are sending a replacement, but they said they usually don't if it has been 5 days since you received your item. Which is a very short amount of time. Also, how Am I supposed to know you sent the wrong zipper if none of your bags are labeled? 5 days is a short time. if the company messes up the order, they should fix it no matter how long it has been. read more

Poor service, follow through and client management... I am in the process of taking a new product to market. During development and design we decided to try a different fabric vendor and called Rockywoods. We spoke at length with a representative and made an initial test order of material and samples. He assured us our order would arrive in 3-5 business days. We patiently waited... after 2 weeks still no delivery. I called back and there was no record of the order. Put on hold, the original representative picked up the call and informed me he had never sent the order to shipping. This happened after an extensive conversation where we explained we were looking for a vendor for future orders that would entail large bulk orders of rolls amounting to tens of thousands of dollars. He then proceeded to tell me that's why they want customers to order online so that an email confirmation is sent which was never mentioned during our initial call... why he couldn't send one anyways is beyond me. I then asked that they overnight the order as we were behind schedule. I was then told that they would not pay the shipping difference.. we would have to pay it. Considering we were looking at spending considerable amounts and they had already failed the first round, I was nonplussed to say the least. Needless to say I canceled the order immediately, hung up and will not do business with Rockywoods again. FYI I called Rockywoods back and asked to speak with person who ran the company. I explained the situation to her and that I had posted a review on Yelp. After telling me they would only ship by mail I told her we did not want to continue and that I had called back to inform management as this was something I hoped would be done if someone in my company had treated a potential customer in that manner. I've been able to get the outdoor fabrics that my customers want for custom stuff. Call before you go if you're local and take your time because they are constantly pulling and cutting orders in the back for their online customers. One of only 3 that I've found in the nation who sell the good stuff for outdoor fabrics in smaller quantities, plus rolls. Of course I always go to them first! They also sell hardware, sometimes renaments and patterns plus waterproofing, thread, and... they got a new puppy! Very nice downhome Colorado laid back people. We have ordered fabric from this company several times. We have had numerous negative experiences with this company. When seeking a refund for returned product it took over a month to get the refund, and I was told several times in the process that my returned product had not been received though my tracking number from shipping showed it arrived at their location. Most recently, our small business ordered numerous yards of fabric. It was stated that it would ship on June 6th. I called Rockywoods on June 7th, when I had not yet received tracking information. Their customer service representative, Dustin, assured me it was in shipping and I would get a tracking number that day. I did not and as it was Friday, could not find out why my package had not shipped until Monday. On Monday, June 10th, I called Rockwoods to see why they had not sent me tracking information. They still had not shipped my fabrics. Dustin told me they would ship by 11 am that morning. According to my tracking information my fabrics did not ship until late that afternoon. I still have not received them. I order fabrics from other small distributors in Florida and Idaho and always receive my orders in a timely fashion. Rockywoods takes over a week most times that I order. I am very unsatisfied with their customer service and how they operate their business. read more

Do not do business with them, nothing but regret! They sent me the wrong material and then did not have the decency to own up to their mistake. Sent a few responses one with a photo showing the mistake and in the end all I get is being ignored. Very dissatisfied, like i said before do not buy from them. read more

Bad customer service. My Rockywoods order was lost in the mail and customer service was unsympathetic and said there was nothing they could do, they do not insure packages so if anything happens to your package in the mail, you are outta luck, (and possibly a lot of $$)! The post office told me they would be happy to speak to the company to confirm that the package was lost, but could only cover damages on insured packages, I relayed this information to Rockywoods, but the man I spoke to on the phone had no interest in contacting the post office and was unwilling to help in any way. I realize this is an issue with the post office more than the fault of the company, but in my opinion when businesses choose to take the risks involved with shipping things by mail, they should take responsibility by insuring packages and replacing lost items rather than dumping the loss onto their customers. The post office assured me that most businesses do replace items lost in the mail. read more
