The NO return sign at the register makes me wonder why did I drop in, and yes I discovered that I made an incorrect product selection. I'm annoyed at myself for not double checking more closely for the product I selected I was in a hurry as it was closing time. I should of come back another day when there was more time to make sure I had the right items. The store is clean and nicely arranged. Bought a new machine and was surprised that the employees were so unfriendly and not helpful. I felt like I was a burden in their day. Was not even given an opportunity to "test run" my machine -- only told that there was a "new owners" class in a month. They knew I was not a local and have to travel an hour to their shop so why not have someone sit down and go through the basics while I was in the store? During a women's luncheon I heard other shoppers make the same comments. Just not friendly. And it was NOT a busy day. read more

This store is dangerous!!!! I found so many beautiful fabrics - I bought several of them the first time I went into the store. Since I'm new to this area, I asked a lot of questions and talked to the people about quilting groups, craft shows and quilt shows. I loved the selection of notions and the fabrics were fabulous. I'm a huge fan of the Presser Foot! Let's face it, these days you can buy a machine pretty much anywhere. But you WILL need a team to keep it running perfectly, to pick up those last minute items (needles, anyone?) and to get instructions and advice to maximize your investment. They are nice and have a great variety of fabric. I hear their classes are decent as well. I have never been a huge fan of the machines they sell, friends of mine tell me Berninas are expensive and unreliable. Great staff here, keep up the good work folks. read more

Went to this lovely store yesterday looking for an affordable serger. After losing absolutely everything to the Marshall Fire I did not hold out much hope for finding something I could afford. After searching nonstop for two months, there it was! It was still a little over my budget, so I prepared myself for having to wait until I could scrape the extra money together and asked if I could put down a deposit to hold it. She said let me check for you. While she was gone, I swear that machine began singing a lullaby to me. Then she came back. The price was reduced to a little under what I could afford. Enough to actually purchase thread to use it. I may have lost everything I owned, including generations of family heirlooms. But I gained something far more valuable - human kindness and compassion. I walked out with more than a machine. Faith in humanity and my dignity intact. At age 76, that is more important than anything. Thank all of you at this beautiful store. read more

Considering Covid-19 and a long winter ahead, I decided to pick up sewing again, but I wanted a new sewing machine. After shopping online first and having a pretty bleak experience with a sewing store in Boulder, a friend of mine who is an experienced quilter, recommended the Presser Foot to me. I called ahead to check on inventory and chatted with Teresa. She was super helpful and seemed very knowledgeable, so I made the trek to Longmont. I'm so glad I did. I met up with Teresa who explained a few of the machines to me and asked me about my experience and expectations. We narrowed it down to the Bernina B475 QE and after half an hour of demonstrating and explaining the ins and out of that particular model I was sold. I had no intention to buy a sewing machine for 2000$ but I believe I won't regret it. I got a lot of extras through a promotion, free sewing classes and an all around satisfying buying experience. Bernina has an amazing reputation and I am really excited to start my second sewing career as a retiree! read more

Not warm, nor friendly at all. I regret purchasing a machine from this place. The sales personnel are rude. Tech support is rude. New owner questions are answered in such a way that you feel you are being scolded. Thee worst buying experience ever. All sales are final - so am stuck with having to deal with them. For the time being. I've been in this shop plenty over the years (why did I think they'd have changed their ways I do not know?) and it's like this each and every time. Like you are bothering them? My hope is that the owner sees this and makes changes. How sad, for their displays always look so nice. Don't be fooled. read more

I walked in and waited for almost 15 minutes, no one greeted me or inquired if i needed help. I wondered around looking at fabrics and felt very ignored. There were employees helping and speaking to other customers, even one at the front desk, and a few in the back. Not one showed any customer service towards me. This was my first time and impression, not happy or going there again. Will take my business to another local store, where they are helpful and friendly. read more

I have to praise every aspect of the Presser Foot. I am so impressed with their customer service and knowledge. Yesterday I had a problem with my OLD Bernina and drove 1.5 hours to see if they could help me, as I had a deadline for the work I needed to do with the machine. Being early January, they were closed for Inventory. I gasped and almost broke into tears. Just then they invited me into the store, and Melody brought me to the back and we tried to diagnose the problem with the machine. They were CLOSED and they still let me in and fixed the problem! Who does that kind of wonderful thing????Melody fixed the problem and showed me how to trouble shoot in the future. When I asked how much I owed her- she just said, "Happy New Year! and Pay it Forward" This review is just the first step of that! I can't thank the people at the Presser Foot more, and would recommend it to anyone needing Bernina service and supplies! read more

I have taken my machine here for repair previously and was very happy with the service. I recently took it in again for a minor repair and this time was charged for a full service (three times the repair cost) although all I had requested was the repair. The girl who checked me out was unable/unwilling to address the situation and told me that was their standard practice with a repair. I contacted the owner who graciously apologized and credited me for the mistake. I couldn't ask for better customer service than that! read more

Although I like the threads and other products at the Presser Foot, I am reluctant to shop there often. A younger blond sales clerk always makes me feel as if I have intruded on her day. She is very curt (almost rude) and rarely very helpful. She never says goodbye or thank you or any indication that we have concluded our transaction. My merchandise is just left on the counter, until I ask for a bag or leave. I had hoped that it was that she was having a bad day, but it happens every time I have gone in. Took my old singer touch and sew in for repair. Needed all new gears. The people were very nice and very honest and told me that it actually technically wasn't even worth it to repair. Sentimental value wins out though and I had them repair it anyway. Job was done and done well. read more
