Did not enjoy the food here. Found the BBQ sauce to have a strange flavour. Disappointed.

The restaurant is attached to the Kanata hotel right on the main highway in Invermere. It is your basic hotel restaurant, not the sort of place to relax and take your time over a meal. My husband ordered the flying ribs and he really enjoyed his meal. I ordered the chicken alfredo and found it really bland and not very interesting. There was plenty of chicken but it was supposed to have carmelized onions as well and they seemed to be missing. When our server, Emily asked how our meals were and I expressed my disappointment she offered to replace my meal immediately. I decided to just have an order of chicken wings as my husband's wings were very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the wings. I had the honey garlic and they were large wings, nicely breaded and really yummy. If you have a good server and order the right dish you can get a decent meal. read more

Located just off the highway right beside the Kanata hotel as you come into Invermere. This place is your typical hotel run restaurant. It has decent food and prices you would expect. We only came for breakfast. Service was a tad on the slow side but our meal was really good. The eggs Benedict was a solid winner with simple ingredients that shone under a delicious hollandaise sauce. The plate was piled high with the offering of the fresh fruit side. Our waitress wasn't to enthusiastic but service was decent enough just don't come in if your in a rush. read more

Ahhh good old highway side restaurants! This place is way above a "highway-side" quality kidn of restaurant. The owners actually take a lot of pride in this place, and it is ususally quite busy. You'll always find some Calgarians in the pub side because they tend to play the Calgary hockey games, which most places don't in Invermere. There menu is actually surprisingly REALLY good. I've been here about 5 times now and never had a bad meal. Service is always very friendly and at a reasonable pace, specials are always changing, food comes out consistently good. Came here with the family for Easter brunch. Despite other places being sold out and needing reservations, we were able to walk right in and get a booth. They didn't have a special menu for Easter, but none is needed as they have a great breakfast menu already. My brother and I each got different eggs benny so that we could swap one of each on our plates. We tried the smoked gouda and the aged cheddar bennies. Both were great though I was more partial to the aged cheddar and my brother to the gouda. My dad is Celiac and they were very accommodating. The server told him of a couple items to avoid, but basically said to order whatever he wanted and they would make sure it was gluten free for him. My wife went with the breakfast poutine, which I also helped her polish off. It was tasty also and a large portion. read more

My family & I were visiting relatives in a neighbouring city and we had a chance to pop in for dinner one night to check things out. That night they had a Beef Stroganoff special and I went with that. When it came, it had an odd taste. After a few more bites, I realized there were pickles in the dish. Beef Stroganoff with pickles...pickles everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love pickles....but I just wasn't expecting it in my BEEF STROGANOFF. The waitress rattled off the specials and I didn't remember her mentioning pickles. Anyway, I gave it a go and had a few more bites, but couldn't finish it. It was not good. :( at all. I didn't complain to the waitress about it, 1-because she was not around at all, and 2-I was so put off by that pickled stroganoff dish that I wasn't hungry for anything else. Everyone else I was with seemed to enjoy their meals. The ambiance was OK. The washroom was nowhere near the restaurant, rather inside the hotel area. Unfortunately, I have to say our service was the worst I have experienced in a long time. Marcus (I believe that was his name.) was our server. We waited over 25 minutes before we were acknowledged and another 15 minutes before our drink were brought to us. We understood he was very new at his job, but it also came down to the team work from the other staff when they see someone struggling. One of the servers stood there talking to some golfers while he ran around like a chicken with his head cut off. I understand this was also out of his control, but as someone who has worked 18 years in the food industry, I believe in teamwork. While we waited for our drinks, our server checked on his only other table and brought them another round prior to even ensuring we had something in front of us. Once he started to make our drinks, he had to check twice on the ingredients in my double gin soda, splash of pink grapefruit. Once we ordered, he incorrectly rang the items in. My husband ordered the wings and ribs, which the server incorrectly added the wrong sauces to the each one. He tried to salvage the error but didn't offer to remake it right, so my husband opted in for only fries and gravy. I ordered the honey hot wings with sauce on the side and lightly battered. They came out twice battered. The mozzarella sticks were still cold in the Center and the cheese not melted. It also stated it was served with ranch and marinara sauce and it only came out with the marinara. Overall, I believe he was thrown to the wolves with no proper training, which is completely out of his control. He was so friendly and tried really hard, but that menu is so large for someone new just starting out. I believe he needs much more training and support from his co-workers to ensure he's able to be successful and be able to ensure a consistent return of profit for your business. I also believe that the staff need to be reminded that they are to work as a team and support each other when ever they have time. read more

Really liked the burger (SMOKEY BBQ BURGER $14, topped with Applewood Smoked Cheddar, Bacon & Chipotle BBQ Sauce). The meat was perfect, not much sauce, just a bit of mayo and BBQ sauce but it was enough. Tasted great. Bacon was perfect and plentiful. No complaints. The side salad most likely started out as bulk mixed greens but they put some nice touches on top, some julienned vegetables (cucumber, beats, can't remember what else). No tiny packet of Kraft dressing either. The homemade dressing came in a little dish and I dumped the whole thing on the salad as it looked like the right amount for the salad. Big mistake. I don't think there was any oil in the "balsamic dressing," I think it was 100% balsamic. It was so overpowering my lips were burning. Anyways, the flavour was ok (who knew, that a vinaigrette tastes just fine without the oil), I just poured too much, so I can't completely fault the restaurant for this. Had I only poured half as much dressing, it would be have perfect. I definitely recommend the burgers. My sister had the MEDITERRANEAN BURGER, ($12, Topped with Feta, Mixed Peppers, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Olives, Tomatoes and Greek Dressing) and liked it. My 4 year old daughter had the mini Hawaiian pizza and the kids veggie platter (asked them to please leave out the Goldfish) and no complaints there. Gluten free in BC! I'm always worried when I go places as to what I'm going to eat. We were in Invermere for a ski weekend and getting there around dinner time, figured let's just grab a bite. I was pumped when they actually had gluten free options. And jugs of long island iced tea, which was delicious. I went with a corn tortilla quesidilla filled with chicken and veggies and cheese. It wasn't the best I've had, that is the hard part about gluten free, is sometimes salads are safer. Was a little dry, but the fact that they offer gluten free was good. Good location, our server was hilarious and put up with us drunks. Wasn't busy and nicely decorated. read more

Awful!!! Food was either bad (as in rotten), under cooked, or over cooked. The manager seemed to care less when it was brought to his attention. Told us we could pick up and go elsewhere. Wow!! In Invermere, that leaves few options. Especially with kids. On the bright side, Stephanie (our server) was AMAZING!! Even she was horified by the food quality. Apologized profusely. Staff was extremely friendly, food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. There was a bit of a wait due to the car show in Radium just ending, but the staff was super accomodating and kept giving us updates on the time frame to be seated. The portion sizes were big and everyone left beyond full. Pizzas are crazy good!! We will definately be returning next year when we go to the carshow!! Went for an early dinner...430 pm. On new years I should add but figured random hotel bar on the highway...should be fine. Get in there and only 2 tables are occupied and the first waitress that had just begun her shift was sweet and eager to help us. The young girl at the bar...assuming manager called her over with a disgusted look on her face and loudly got upset with the poor girl, telling her that they were fully booked but we could come back at nine. Not sure what was worse, being lied to or watching her act like a snarky jerk in front of my eyes. Used to go here a lot...now I will try to another small hotel bar. read more

My friend liked his hamburger but thought it was a bit small although the portion of fries was large to compensate. My pasta was mediocre at best. I think the white sauce was based with flour instead of heavy cream, which is OK but not really to my taste. The service was great which compensated for the restaurant being a bit dark. read more

Surprisingly Great food for a restaurant beside a Super 8. Was quite busy when we were there for dinner which I guess proves we arent the only ones who like the place. Great portion sizes and tasty food and a reasonably price, especially for invermere. Looking forward to having another Smokey BBQ burger the next ime we are in town read more
