We were staying at the resort for my birthday and decided to have dinner at the restaurant on site at 7. We didn't make reservations so the host told us that we would have to be back in 45 min since they just seated some large parties (there were some empty tables so I was slightly annoyed that we weren't even offered to sit at the bar for some drinks while we waited). So we came back at 7:45, we'll after prime dining time, when we were told and I found that our names were crossed off and this other host said we were to come back later - again. I told her I don't know why our names were crossed off and I wasn't happy with service so far and we'd be waiting patiently in our rooms. We finally got seated. For dinner we wanted the steak and prawns but were told later they were sold out so I settle for the ravioli and my bf took the pork chops. Our server was lovely. She was running around quite a bit and apologized for the sold out steak. Seems that they were quite understaffed. I didn't see a manager at all on the floor during our meal which is surprising. We were in Fairmont for a last minute anniversary get away and had tried to get into a few places before we found Elements. Ironically it was our 7 year anniversary which is the copper anniversary and Elements is in the Copper Point Resort! Anyways, we got our name on a list and we're told about 30 min wait. So we walked around the resort a bit and waited to be called. 45 min later we finally got a table. The serving staff were very busy and there was no additional conversation etc. she was running from place to place. We ordered drinks, the French martini and an old fashioned. The old fashioned was rather strong which we later realized was because the simple syrup hadn't been mixed properly and was a lot of sugar at the end of the drink. The martini was delicious. It took a while before we were able to the order dinner but we ordered the brisket sandwich with a kale salad and I tried the Bouillabaisse. The food actually came quicker than expected but it was after 9pm at this point. The food was pretty good and the view from the course quite pretty but the overall atmosphere was just exhausted. Thinking as we come out of covid and places being short staffed it may be a bit of a common event. Note would give it a 3.5 if able! read more

I stayed at this hotel last September with some friends, on an annual golf trip. My friends arrived before me, in the late afternoon, and sat on the patio at Elements. They had to go inside to order drinks. After I sat down, the server didn't come to our table the entire time, although she was serving other outdoor tables. I was there for an hour. On the way out, I complained to the bartender. My friends went back for drinks later that evening (I refused to go) and the bartender apologized but didn't even offer them a complimentary drink. If you want non-existent service, then this is the place to be in Invermere. Otherwise, try the Birchwood, where they treat guests like royalty. read more

Very disappointed in our meal. I ordered carne asada med.rare. It came extremely rare which I couldn't eat. My husband ordered the 10 oz. Pork chop and got 2 fast fry's that were over cooked. By the time the server acknowledged my family had finished their meals and I was asked if I wanted something else and my husband was told that's how the meat came in from Cisco. No apology at all. Went here because of a car rally. Food was delicious! Beer was great and the waitress was very nice. Started with the bruschetta, then had the butter chicken. I decided to take a burger home for lunch the next day. And the next day the burger was delicious also! read more

We came here as a group during our stay during a hockey tourney. The service was great- despite my son's meal coming late, the server's fun, relaxed and attentive attitude almost made up for it, a plus that our waters were topped up frequently I had the Cesar kale- which wasn't amazing but still quite good in flavour, enjoyable texture of the kale. My son had the steak sandwich and had no complaints, medium rare with fries (so not hard to mess up). Everyone at our parent table enjoyed our meals, and made for an easy experience while we were staying there. read more

I wanted to enjoy a meal here after a long day of travel but unfortunately the staff didn't care to seat me. I waited for 10 minutes to be seated before I gave up. There appeared to be 2 servers and a bartender. All made eye contact with me but nobody took the initiative to come over. It wasn't busy...maybe 6-7 tables of smaller groups. One server decided to bus an empty table instead of seating me. I gave my business to another local restaurant and they were fantastic! read more

We go to the Columbia Valley a few times a year and we enjoy going to Elements on our last evening before returning home because we look forward to a nice meal on the patio. It has been somewhat reliable over the last few visits but our last dinner was disappointing. My lady friend ordered the salmon and when it was delivered the rice was crunchy (not firm, crunchy), and the salmon was overcooked and dry. I ordered the seafood pasta special which was lacking in flavour, it was supposed to be in a pesto sauce but I detected nothing green. When the server came over to ask for feedback my guest was honest so our server took it back and returned saying that the chef acknowledged the rice was undercooked. She offered to have them make it again which they did, the rice was better although the salmon was still somewhat overcooked. We hope it will be better when we are there in a few weeks as we really want this restaurant to succeed. In my experience it all depends on who is in the kitchen. read more

We loved the live music that was playing on the Saturday night we dined here, but the best part of our meal was the chips and dip, which I would recommend. We got the turkey burger and elk burger which apparently comes with the cheese, tomato salsa, guacamole baked into it, but I was extremely disappointed. I've had stuffed burgers before and I'm used to actually seeing the ingredients that it is stuffed with. Our serve seemed more interested in finishing her last weekend at work and she relatively distant and not really helpful. The flourless chocolate cake, while delicious, was more like a mousse. The side ceaser salad was an additional $1.50 which we found out when we got our bill and the drink prices on the bill didn't reflect what was on the menu. I've eaten at Elements a few times now. The baked brie appetizer is really great! I've had the Korean BBQ Ramen and the Pad Thai. The Ramen was better than the Pad Thai, but I really enjoyed both. Ate here twice while staying at the Copper Point Resort. The food was pretty good, but the service was very poor. Everything was very slow even though the restaurant wasn't that full. My wife's meal arrived 10 minutes after everyone else's meal at dinner. Serving staff were not good at communicating. Didn't tell us about specials until after we ordered, had difficulty with letting us know what was included with the meal and what wasn't. Busy but they accommodated us in a booth in the lounge. Food was fast-had crayons and a children's menu, kids split the butter chicken and loved it- they are all about rice and curry-and it was not spicy! Win! I had 3Oz bacon wrapped beef and three shrimp. Hubby had salmon-all plates were emptied. There was a bit of a charcoal/grill flavour on everything which was confusing but still enjoyable. I dined here twice for breakfast because I was staying at Copper Point Resort, and also because I was able to book a "bed and breakfast" deal that included vouchers for breakfast. The breakfasts here were good - not spectacular, but not bad either. The first morning I tried the breakfast buffet, which was a mistake. It was only scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage; the made to order breakfast dishes had much more food and variety (toast, fruit, etc.). Breakfast was a single page of dishes, with prices around $10-20 depending on what was ordered. Service was so-so; forgotten water, some mistakes with our orders, slow to check on the table given that there were only three or four other diners in the restaurant. The views of mountains and forested greens were lovely with the meal, but the inane background elevator jazz music was loud enough that I was annoyed by it halfway through both of our meals. Good for an easy and hearty breakfast before heading out, but I didn't feel any desire to try out their dinner menu. read more

Went for dinner at 7 pm with 3 adults and two kids. Took 2 hours to get our food and another 40 minutes for dessert (cheesecake and ice cream). Food was average and service was okay, but if it is going to take 2.5 hours for basic service than they need to say that up front. Heard several other guest complain that it had been over an hour since they ordered and still no food, thought they were lucky as we were much longer. There is only so long you can entertain kids under 5 at a table with crayons and a sheet of paper. I will say the place looks nice and has potential but the service is terrible as the server just avoids you as the kitchen is soooooo sloooooooow for basic meals and they are forced to lie and say it will only be a few more minutes which turns into hours. And of course there is no management around to deal with the crappy service. Find another place to eat unless you have time to waste for average food. read more

The ambiance is why it got two stars. We had the Flatbread trio and half nachos. The Flatbread was a stale cracker and extremely dissapointing. The nachos were nuked and not nuked enough to melt the cheese completely. Our server brought us the bill instead of asking us if we wanted another drink. I will not return. read more

My friend and I recently dined here for dinner. The service was good, our server was very attentive. We had the elk brochettes which tasted way better then they looked. We then shared the bison burger and the chicken and Brie burger. The chicken was moist and juicy, delish! The bison was ok, a bit dry but being such a lean meat it's hard to get it right. *Food Poisoning* I've tried to give the restaurant a fair shot, and have dined there a few times (it's right near my house, so I wish I could support it). I've been underwhelmed by the food and the service the last few times, and one time mentioned that the dressing on my caesar salad has gone bad but nothing was done to remedy it. I'm only writing this review though as my experience from last night was so poorly handled. Ordered the chicken and Brie burger with the side garden salad, and not 6 hours after dinner am I rolling around the floor after puking up my dinner. Have been just as ill all day today, and so I called the restaurant to let them know they might want to check through their product so no one else gets sick (not even to complain) but I got forwarded to another number which hung up on me. I have my culinary training and work catering, so I understand that sometimes things get overlooked in a kitchen, but it was the indifference from the restaurant that really got to me.
