As a diabetic, insulin is a matter of life and death. Due to timing, the wrong prescription was sent to CVS and then sold to me without me knowing it, I purchased the wrong insulin. The store couldn't take it back and even though it was technically a new prescription the insurance wouldn't cover it. I called in a panic because I was almost out of insulin and Thank GOD I got Nina. She was calm and quickly understood the situation and the history. She was able to get me an emergency dosage the next day with insurance coverage. She called me to come to get the prescription which took about 20 minutes. By the time I got there, she had found a discount coupon that reduced the price from $195 to $75. No words could express my thanks and hope you will do as I did and give CVS another chance if you have had a bad experience at this store.

Also, the pharmacy tech managed to get my script released from the location that didn't fill it in time from the morning, even though she told me they didn't pick up their phone. I got a 20% of coupon and was really excited. I picked out $80 worth of stuff. When I got to the register, I found out that in the fine print, it excluded sale items. I was annoyed and put back all my stuff because I wouldn't have gotten it if not for the coupon. The sales and Extrabucks promotions were clearly marked, so this location at least had that going for it.

The Pharmacy opened late, and when I asked how long the delay was going to be, the employee, clearly annoyed that I asked a question (deciding to wait or come back) rudely replied: " when the pharmacist gets here". Ok, that does not answer my question. Turns out, it was only 5 minutes. However, when I was finally helped, the employee working the register made no apology for the delay. There was no greeting, no name tag, no smile, and no effort to provide even basic courtesy. When the register prompted me for a signature, she just stared straight ahead without any guidance or explanation, leaving me confused. Her demeanor came across as if she was annoyed to be at work and even more annoyed that she had to assist customers at all. When I asked if she was having a bad day, she ignored the question. When I asked her for her name, she replied :" That will be ten dollars". A little customer service training would go a long way here. If interacting with customers is such a burden, perhaps a role that doesn't require it would be a better fit. As a customer, I expect at least minimal professionalism and courtesy, especially from a pharmacy. I am not sure I am comfortable with such a rude person knowing my medications.

From the first time I walked in the door, the staff has been helpful and friendly. Within 3 weeks, they knew my name and my husband's name (even without ever meeting him). The neighborhood pharmacy feel is incredible. Nice touches: Ed Thomas (the head pharmacist/owner) called me after we moved our business to them to thank me. I also got a birthday call. Little touches that make me feel like they're glad we brought our business to them. I truly think there is not a better pharmacy around.

The meat and fish department at this store are always helpful and even let me know that Harris Teeter still does rain checks on their specials. Who does rain checks anymore? The Harris Teeter store brands are fairly priced and of top quality. Key to Harris Teeter is shop their sales. They have amazing sales. Sign up for their eVic club and the savings you will realize will be substantial. Plenty of parking and this Teeter also has a Teeter gas station.

He handed me the now cut meat and while walking away, I noticed it wasn't really cut how the packaged one was cut at all. We shrugged it off and decided we could just make some cuts when we got home to fix it up a bit. However, when we got home they were cut horribly and so inconsistently that we would've been better off buying the large chunk of meat and cutting it at home ourselves. Asked for 3lbs of meat... after having to recut ourselves at home, we got maybe 1-1.5lbs.
