A wonderful young man came out to see if I needed anything and was very knowledgeable about trees and all things gardening. He was an ideal business person and I am looking forward to returning today with pics of my tree so he can help me identify what it is and help with companion planting. As I wandered other areas like their green house and market, other associates were super friendly and also very helpful. The lovely aromas of fresh produce and baked goods coming from their shop was so tempting! I resisted but plan on picking up a pie today when I return. Although it was just a recon mission yesterday, I didn't leave empty handed as they actually had some FREE perennials which I was thrilled about. I am looking forward to returning and having them as my go-to garden center for years to come. Thank you so much for providing such excellent customer service!

Now my yard looks fantastic. They are easy to work with and reasonably priced. When I first moved into this house in the spring of 21, all I had was a row of rosebushes on the side of the house. Basically a barren yard. Now it's definitely a year-round garden and natural habitat for the wildlife.

I questioned why I was not told that when I bought it and was told I would have been given a "green slip" when I bought it if it was warranted. As a first time customer I had no idea this was the policy nor would I have known to question it. Was prepared to make additional purchases on this visit, but feel the need to take my business elsewhere. Beware buying "premium" plants from this business as they don't stand behind what they sell.

Such a cool little hidden gem in Middletown! I didn't even know this place existed…read more I don't really know what to call Surreybrooke but it is a beautiful manor with grounds, a garden center, and venue area. The manor is marked as private even though it is visible from other parts of the property. You can definitely see the growth of the plants over the decades of time but this is something so unusual to see in this area and that in itself is truly spectacular. Take 20 minutes to stroll through this place, you may find that you end up staying a bit longer.

I planned on doing all of the adventure stuff that my friend and I could fit in, but it rained for two days nonstop. We decided to make the most of our time here and ended up going to the Caverns since it was an indoor activity. On the way back to our Airbnb, we stopped at Mountainside Gardens. They had an array of plants that I literally could not help myself. I spoke to Julie, the person working and she was cheerful and very helpful at helping me pick out my new plant babies. She also gave me great advice for overall care and watering them (I tend to over water and kill plants, so fingers crossed that these survive). I also could not resist getting a bowl of cream of crab soup to go along with a snow cone. Both were delicious and everything was a great value. I will be back for more plant babies and to visit Julie again.
