This place has gorgeous flowers but the customer service is pretty poor. I've stopped into the shop twice in the past to purchase flowers, but some of the employees have grumbled when I did this. However, no one ever stopped to tell me that walk-ins weren't okay (since it's a flower shop, you would think that they would be more open to walk-ins or at the very least advise against walk-ins on their FB page). When I walked in today (Valentine's Day), the person at the front desk seemed visibly flustered and yelled for someone else to help me. A woman approached and was a bit snappy -- without making eye contact with me, she said "I can't do this right now, I'm not trying to be nasty, but it's not a good time". When I apologized and said that I hadn't seen that online, the woman chirped back "we don't have a website. We have a FB page that we barely update. You'll have to pick up the phone and actually call us". All in all, it wasn't a horrible interaction, but definitely not a pleasant one. I get it, it's a busy holiday for flower shops and they were probably stressed, however, it definitely didn't make me want to go back and give them my business. Buyer's beware: call ahead of time and don't walk in the store unless you want to be bluntly shooed away. read more

I called Rooster Vane for a last minute arrangement to be sent to my mother at a hotel. They were able to deliver my order, and the hotel (Hampton Inn off I81) had the arrangement in the room waiting for my mother after check in. Rooster Vane doesn't have a website, but the lady that answered the phone was friendly and efficient. They were also able to work well within my budget. Flowers these days are so expensive, and the ones from Rooster Vane seem comparable to other florists. I would use them again. read more
