I was really impressed with this place and all the offerings! Tue boneless wings are really good; perfect small size, very crispy, and are accompanied by several yummy dipping sauces. The biscuits with the honey butter are delicious and the fries are crinkled, crispy, and seasoned perfectly! The one thing we didn't love were the fried pickles, good flavor but way too thick of a bite. read more

Rockin Chicken Shack - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

The place seems pretty unassuming from the outside, but it is probably the best value for a meal you are going to get in Wisconsin Dells. The chicken portions are huge, and the breading/batter they use is delicious. I really like their signature sauce, and their Nashville Hot is very tasty. We try to stop there whenever we drive through Wisconsin Dells. read more

The location of this establishment is great. They took over the previous KFC restaurant. Easy to locate and parking is already established. You can't miss it. With that said, I wanted to state that I had studied the menu before we went there and even when standing in line to wait my turn to order, I looked over the menu several times. Maybe I said my order too quickly? When I received my order, it was wrong. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Tender sandwich. I told the gentleman who took my order that I wanted to make sure the order came with lettuce and a slice of tomato. He focused on punching the order in than what I was saying, it seems. When I got my order, it was the Rockin' Chicken Tender sandwich. Annoyed that I repeated my order several times but the cashier didn't understand. I just ate the food and went with my day. The chicken was tender and juicy. The breading did not overpower the flavor. The bun was lightly toasted, which I appreciated. The chicken was not overly greasy and seasoned well. You'll have to put mayo in the sandwich because it came out plain. It was also served with a mayo-based side sauce as well. It paired well with the chicken. Reminded me of the KFC finger-licking sauce. Contrary to what the pictures looked like online, the Nashville Hot Chicken Tender sandwich did not come with coleslaw. If you order the combo, you can choose a side. Coleslaw being one of them. We selected the Mac n cheese as our side. It was delightful. The flavor was cheesy, melty, and the macaroni was cooked thoroughly. It was the best thing we ate at this establishment. The dining area was very clean. They played music not too loud so you can still carry a conversation. A very good place to eat other than the overpriced, mediocre, tourist trap restaurants in the area. Nice quick eat and go place. read more

Walmart chicken @ Popeyes/KFC prices. Over cooked, tough breading. Just overall not all that great..

The service was outstanding , the staff went above and beyond with us which was welcoming . The food was delicious and affordable , we got the family size tenders (split in half for two) and it was more than enough for us ! Definitely recommend eating here read more

We really liked this place. Good chicken and good sides (we got mac n cheese and biscuits). We tried the spicy chicken too, and it really was spicy, and done perfectly. We would recommend Rockin Chicken Shack, and look forward to going again. read more

Rockin Chicken Shack - Nashville chicken tenders and coleslaw - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

SO WORTH THE WAIT! The hot, fresh, crispy, moist and well seasoned chicken at Rockin' totally slayed my chicken craving for the day. The biscuit tasted homemade, as did the slaw. I had a friendly conversation with an employee and the tip he gave me was to call ahead. I know will. read more

Don't waste your time. Cashier can't hardly speak or understand English and the chicken was gross. The first clue was the place was empty right at peak dinner time on a Friday. We spent $120 for 5 people and they forgot one chicken sandwich. When we mentioned this, the lady couldn't hardly understand and then just shrugged and walked off. I ordered a chicken wing combo and they were the fattiest chicken wings I have ever had. Only plus is that it seemed pretty clean in there. read more

Delicious independent chicken shack! Great place to stop for a quick, tasty and reasonably priced bite between Dells activities. Our take on the grub: - The Nashville hot tenders had a nice little kick, solid flavor and crispy crunch. - The pickles and slaw really brought the chicken sandwich together. - We also enjoyed their fried pickles. Staff was friendly. We'll be back. read more

IF YOU WANT RAISING CANES BUT CANNOT GO TO MADISON GO HERE. It's crazy delicious and the chicken tender baskets are comparable to Raising Canes. my friends and I all love Raising Canes but can't always drive there so we've transitioned to this place. The literal only negative thing (imo) about this place is that they have Pepsi products instead of Coke but that's not even a big deal. it's chill here. go here! their chicken is good! read more

Food was delicious. We had the chicken tenders and the pulled chicken Sammy and some fries. Unfortunately, the chicken portions are small for the cost. The pulled chicken sandwich needed much more meat, and the tenders didn't fill up my husband and he is a light eater. I wish they would offer extra tenders and biscuits by the piece. I hope they succeed at this spot, but they need to have a more flexible menu. read more

Yes it's in an old KFC. It's very clean which is nice. We came in around 6:45 and were the only ones there. Shortly after a big rush happened. We ordered a bunch of tender baskets and a Mac and cheese. At first it seemed like it was taking a little while but I didn't see any chicken just sitting in warming baskets so big plus. Everything came out hot and smelled great. For the baskets you get 3 nice sized tenders, about a medium sized order of fries in the baskets, 3 pickle slices, and a piece of bread. The fries were crinkle cut and very good. The tenders are juicy, flavored well, and tender. The only knock if you're an obsessive tender eater is I like ones that break apart cleanly and easily and these have a tear to them, not stringy, but not a clean cut. My wife said the fries pickles were very thick cut and delicious. If you like fried pickles anywhere these are a must order. Lastly for cost, this is the dells so you can't expect cheap. We had 3 tenders basket, a side of fried pickles, and a Mac and cheese. The total was $57 read more

If your from Illinois it will disappoint. Over seasoned chicken. Also they only fill the sauce half way and then want to charge you for more. I probably wouldn't eat here again but it wasnt terrible. read more

As a self professed "Cainiac", it is safe to say they've been dethroned! Man was that chicken "Rockin"! We had a mixture of the regular and Nashville chicken strips, the smoked chicken mac-n-cheese, smoked chicken Sammy, fries, biscuits with honey butter... everything was delicious! The chicken is perfectly breaded, light enough to not overpower, but thick enough for a good crunch. The Nashville hot was perfectly sauced with the breading absorbing the sauce while still maintaining the crunch. I only wished we lived closer! Bring one to Springfield, IL, please! read more

Had a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich combo meal. Was excellent. Sandwich was large and with a side of Mac and cheese it was too much to finish. Had to take some home for later. Food was really good and service was good. I will go back for sure read more

Great food, service and overall quality. Reminds me of raising canes only locally own and operated

Stopped here after a weekend in the Dells. Wow! The Nashville hot sandwich was great, the tenders were excellent, and the biscuits and mac and cheese? Let's just say we needed to order another batch to take home but the food didn't make it home. We live in the Twin Cities and have a great restaurant scene, but we don't have fast(ish) food this good. Easily beats Cane's. We will be back on our next trip through the Dells. read more

Chicken was too greasy. Service was good. Wish they would do something about all the extra oil

Ordered take out. Service was fast, and chicken was tasty. Must admit, I'm not a fan of fried food, but the restaurant was convenient and had good reviews. read more

I had 2 piece fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was fried a little too long and was super crunchy to chew. My husband had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a side of slaw. He said it was just okay. The young gal who took our order was super friendly. read more

So let's start with the food. I ordered the Nashville Hot Tender Sandwich. It was a classic sandwich nothing bad nothing good. I'll give it 6/10. Now the service. It was okay. It was your normal speed like 5-10 minutes not that bad. I'll give it a 5/10. The ambiance was good. When you walk in to the left would be where you order. On the right would be where you sit but they don't clean their tables so we had to clean it ourselves which was okay. I give it all a 5/10. read more

If you like chicken in The Dells, this is a really wonderful place to go. It has a wide selection of bone-in and boneless meals. All the chicken was great. Our coleslaw was OK. Service was fast. I wish they had blue cheese for the wings but hopefully they'll add that to the list of sauces in the future. Was our third time here and it's always been good and consistent. read more

Chicken was fast, fresh , hot, juicy and very flavorful ! Fries were hot and crisp! This chicken is probably the best fast food chicken we've eaten. Sorry Canes and Chick-Filet! read more

I had the chicken tenders with a side of Mac and cheese. The chicken was amazing and obviously fresh because you could see them making it. Tenders we're juicy and tender and we're great when dipped in the house sauce which was also so good. The Mac and cheese was made with real cheese with no food coloring or bad additives, penne noodles with a white cheddar creamy sauce, so good! The service was incredible I have been in the restaurant and drive thru, while the drive thru took a little long it was still great, fresh, and piping hot. The ambiance is great inside with it being very clean and the kitchen being organized well and clean. Overall this place is by far one of my favorite chicken places I've ever experienced. read more
