I want to love this place, and I certainly could, but the fact of the matter is that too many…read morethings are broken. I expect a couple of things to go wrong on a given trip but this place... Pros: +Location has great access to Banff National Park +Lots of great nearby espresso, esp. Eclipse +Great waterslide for the kids +Unique architectural layout +Underground parking +Private outdoor penthouse hot tub is sweet! +Washer/dryer is handy +Unit was clean Cons - mainly it's just all stuff in disrepair: -AirCon has 2 modes: super loud (65 db per my Apple watch) or off. Perhaps replacing the filter would make it better? Is there a way to allow the guest to adjust the fan speed? Also it doesn't work great, takes 2 hrs to get from 78F to 72F. -Screen door has large hole in it. And other door has no screen at all. -Kitchen faucet is partially broken -Downstairs enclosed shower has many fancy functions but none of them work - which makes it just a basic shower (better than none for sure) -The hot tub area has hundreds of weeds in the rockery. -The only nearby elevator has been out of service for a day+ -The only condiments provided in the kitchen are salt and pepper, normally vacation condos have a lot more -When we arrived the cushions for the outdoor furniture were in the master closet If all of these were fixed I'd go 4 or maybe 5 stars. Stair concerns: If on the 4th floor there are lots of stairs inside the unit, toddlers and elders beware Stairs are all wood - while they look nice if someone falls it's gonna hurt a lot So in short lots of unrealized potential here.

Solid place to stay in Canmore…read more Having stayed here for 4 nights, I find this resort to have all the amenities we needed and it is conveniently located to everything, including Banff. All the common appliances are included and I especially like the indoor and outdoor spa next to lobby. I do think these suites need upgrade to the showers and the floors could be cleaner. Overall, this is a solid choice to stay at when visiting Banff. Recommend.

The floor in my room felt insecure like you're walking in a trailer and there's no padding between the wood paneling and the cheap carpet. Someone in the hallway or next door could be walking and shake my floor. I worried the people underneath me could hear me walking. I could hear my neighbor coughing in bed. When my neighbors opened their doors it creeped me out because it sounds like my door is being opened. I stayed on the 3rd floor facing the front of the hotel and on top of the window is lights. This means that inside my room it never got dark at night because the light seeps in from both sides of the closed curtains and the top. See the curtains are 6 inches away from the window. What that large gap so much light from the roof lights come in and illuminates the whole room and I need a dark room to sleep in. You don't have to turn on any lights to go to the bathroom since the room is so bright. The a/c was so loud! It sounded like a truck was driving through. The lobby bathroom is beautiful but the handicap stall is hard to lock and I got worried about being trapped inside. The other stalls are too small, see they didn't measure properly when they built them as you have to jump over the toilet to close the door. Then the hook for your bag is over the door lock as if I want my bag touching that. Did a man build the women's bathroom? Because its clearly not practical for use. The paper towel holders are too stuffed so you can't pull one out so instead I used the cheap looking one on the wall. Speaking of paper, two nights in a row I didn't get a spare roll of toilet paper in my room. They have a whole wall of pamphlets for tours but when I asked the front desk for a hiking map they didn't have one. I also went to the Banff tourism office but they told me they don't cover Canmore. Canmore has a tourism office but it's clear on the other side of town. I wanted a map to show me the trails I can take around town. Instead I just had to hike blindly not knowing where I was going.

We stayed two nights at the end of August. In town for a wedding, we chose this location based on…read morethe bride/groom's recommendation and its proximity to the wedding venue. We were busy all weekend so didn't get to take advantage of any of the amenities (pool, restaurant/lounge, workout facilities), but our room was very comfortable. We requested a quiet room and were placed on the 2nd floor at the end of the hall overlooking the back parking lot (by the way, we found it so much easier to park back there than in front which was super crowded). While we could occasionally hear our neighbors above and beside us, it was overall peaceful. There are some food and drink options right outside the hotel doors, and you're also an easy 10-15 minute walk to downtown Canmore. We happily left the car parked at the hotel and did all our exploring on foot. Staff was friendly when we checked in and greeted us each time we returned. My only gripe is that they charge for parking. It's a nominal $10/night, but I'd guess most people staying here are driving a vehicle, so why not just work this into the room rate? Anyway, I'd happily stay here again.
