Went about a month ago, food was pretty rough. Music way too loud for such a small area. Definitely need to expand everything if the bands are gonna play that freaking loud.!!! It's hard to even sit at the bar top when the bands are playing in your ear.. Need more bar seats and someone who really cares about regulars, an making $$... This is my review of the Collierville location as posted on Facebook. ZERO STARS This place should be called ShitHouse Live. We walked in around 8:30, right away we were told that the only items available were the deep fried items. I asked why. I was told that the managers said that people only buy fried foods when bands play. What brain dead Einstein thinks that a restaurant with a bar should not have a full menu? Oh yeah, then we were told that they're only serving chips and salsa. You can get better food choices at the damn zoo. The "band" sounds like Guitar Center closed too early tonight. The only thing missing is the "no Stairway" sign from Wayne's World. The ONLY saving grace to this dump is the waitstaff and the bartenders. They're too good for this prison commissary with a band. I gave rockhouse live a raving review on UberEats the last time I ordered (which was my first time eating the food). This time the food was sorely disappointing!!!! There were TWO deli slices of meat on this three bread slice layer club sandwich (ONE slice of turkey, ONE slice of ham). The mayo was a small blob in the middle, the lettuce was very small and did not cover the sandwich, and the smallest tomato slices were thrown in. Overall, I overpaid for this sandwich. Food was really really good, we went at 2pm and people were already trashed. Also the cussing that was yelled out during our time there was crazy! Went to enjoy dinner after a baseball game. We were told there was no manager on duty and no cook there. My server had to cook and there was only fried foods available. Bought a Groupon for the place. Ad showed a picture of a steak and specified steak as being on the menu. When we got there, the menu didn't show steak at all. In fact, it was total bar food. Ordered wings. Right before the food arrives, they tell me no wing sauce. So, they drowned them in so much BBQ sauce that it was hard to eat them. Place definitely smelled like a dirty ashtray dipped in stale beer. To top it off, the waitress and the regulars were cussing and swearing up a storm and talking about their experiences being arrested and jailed. So it's been months since Zach opened this place and he has really been serious about making improvements as constantly as possible. The Rock Chicks there now, with a special few I have in mind, are amazing and work so hard. The managers really have their stuff together. The food, burgers and wraps are my favorite, is the greatest. Sean and Sonny make amazing food and bring it out to me with a smile (and usually a hug!). There is something to do every night including open mic, ladies' dance night, karaoke, a concert, and a local band or two on the weekend. Cannot wait for the patio and Crawfish Saturdays. read more

Very bad experience for first time ordering for delivery. The order was over an 1 1/2 hours late. The so called Ribeye steak was cold and tough and totally grisly. The loaded baked potato was a potato that wasn't washed first and gritty and was sent with liquid butter and 2 pats of soft butter and a container of cold steak sauce. No utensils were sent. If I could give Zero stars I would! The DJ on Wednesday nights is fantastic, but the Wednesday night bartender is awful. She had an attitude from the moment we walked in. She didn't want to serve us and had zero respect for her customers. They are unfriendly and unprofessional. If you aren't a regular, they can't be bothered to serve you! We tried to go multiple times and it never gets better. We live right down street and spend a lot of money there, but we will not be returning. read more

A classic neighborhood bar where locals gather to have a good time and look out for each other, masquerading as a music venue. The karaoke on Sunday night was not outstanding but was a good soundtrack for the real times had by the patrons. I'm told Thursday is a great blues band night, so I'll be back. This place is horrible. The waitresses are completely trashy, and they all look like they are addicted to some hard drugs. There is one bartender in particular, Cathy, that is always drunk and provides horrible service, due to the fact that she's drinking more than the customers are. The other 'Rock Chicks' have serious attitude problems, and huff and puff at any request you make. Another blonde server was drunk while I was attending a show there, and she was falling all over the place, and screaming like a five year old. I definitely do not recommend this place! With all of the places in Memphis, you'd be better off going elsewhere! read more

I love the atmosphere this place has, but there needs to be some SERIOUS change in staffing. I have been going to Rockhouse Live for about three months, and I love the live music. The owner's band is incredible, and I have met so many other really talented people. It's problem lies in the staffing. Out of ALL of the servers and bartenders, I only like about four of them. The rest NEED to go!!! Alisha, Mary-Grace, Rachel, Hailey, and Kayla all should stay. Rachel, Kayla, and Hailey are killer behind the bar! Alisha and Mary-Grace are the BEST servers there. The kitchen cooks really amazing food, and menu items are being added each week, which really keeps the excitement going. Friendly managers. The waitstaff needs some change-ups. I love the atmosphere here. The food is superb and priced exceptionally well. The drinks are top of the line. The bartenders, managers, wait staff, security and owner are tremendously entertaining, friendly, and overly accommodating to all who enter. Bands who play this venue are top notch, and some of the friendliest people we have ever encountered. Service is superior to any venue we have been to in Memphis. Most, if not all of the other venues we have frequented do not even bother to smile or say hello to paying customers, let alone make you feel welcome. This place is our get away... we can be ourselves, hang out with the most loving and courteous staff in town, and continue to make new and life long friends. It is in no way offensive to us, and we will continue to support and frequent this wonderful place and all of the amazing bands who are lucky enough to get to play here. The reason why Rockhouse Live is scoring on the low end is strictly the bartender. I have never experienced such lack of regard for customer service in quite sometime. It felt like I walked into a time warp, however, the male patrons warmed up after they realized that we were not shaken by her rudeness. We only stayed after seeing the cook and asked him if the place was inclusive. He replied a little but just starting working their 3 days ago. He added that he was a good cook and oh boy he was correct. Excellent Rib Eye cooked perfectly. There is only one place in Memphis that has reached into the soul of rock 'n roll and brought it back to the mid-south and that place is Rockhouse Live! The negative posts are obviously from two guys who still carry their Deal-a-Meal cards with them thinking they can pick up chicks. The difference between Rockhouse Live and other bars in the area is Rockhouse Live has an actual stage. The atmosphere is great. Yes there is smoking because it is 21 and over. Complaining about smoke at Rockhouse Live makes about as much sense as complaining about your neck hurting after head banging the night before at a Judas Priest concert. If you want a "smoke-free" restaurant I would suggest going somewhere you can hear 6 year olds crying for their mommy. The menu is straightforward. I much prefer choosing between a burger and a sandwich than choosing between 15 other different types of burgers like in some other local restaurants. The waitstaff is great. Yes they have tattoos and yes they have boyfriends so understand they are not leaving with you. You have a better chance going to a strip club thinking the dancer really likes you and wants to go on a date. They are passionate about their music and have a good time taking care of the customers and it shows. The management staff is friendly and visible. They're not hiding behind closed doors playing solitaire on a PC or out back on a smoke break so if you need something addressed it is not difficult to do. There are many TVs above the bar and along the walls tuned to ESPN or the local games. Rockhouse Live also helped with collecting food for those less fortunate this Thanksgiving. The bands they bring in are great giving many of us a chance to see our favorite bands (Great White/Faster Pussycat) up close with a guaranteed "meet n greet" afterwards. Went to rockhouselive 3 times. First time I had a Groupon coupon and I got a pitcher of beer which is $10 and a pizza which is another $10 but the Groupon only cost me $9. The next time I went I aske for a pizza and they didn't have anyone there to make a pizza so I got pulled pork and I asked for green beans but I got collard greens and I did get the cheesy potatoes and a pitcher of beer with a Groupon and it cost me only $9. The next time I went to get a pizza or dinner and a pitcher of beer , They would not allow me to get a pitcher of beer but said I could order some food I said how am I going to order some food with a Groupon that's worth $20. I cannot eat $20 worth of food. So I cash my Groupon in and with to Jets Pizza. the last time I was there was before this and they had a special event and they would not allow me to use the coupon again from Groupon so I will never go there again the place is basically a dump. really empty people don't party too shouldn't listen to music but they don't get up and dance and have fun. Waitresses are nasty and hateful in the bathrooms that leaves for the women's bathrooms are disgusting. Two bathroom doors do not even close only the handicap seems to close and sometimes there's no toilet paper funny since there's hardly any people in the place. don't go there their food is not that great and certainly don't use a Groupon there cuz they won't let you use it on a pitcher of beer either. read more

It seems crazy to me that the only reviews on here of this place are negative. I went for the first time last night and loved it, so either they made some changes or it was always awesome. This place is definitely not a dive bar by any stretch, it's just a nice clean restaurant/music venue/bar. It's comfortable, and the posters of all my fave rock bands on the wall (AC/DC, Poison, Def Leppard, ..) made me feel right at home. Almost Famous was playing and sounded GREAT in that space. The crowd was a mix age-wise, and it was not smoky (ie some people were smoking but I didn't notice it). The food was good, I got wings. I don't really understand the hooters-y booty short outfits that all the waitresses wear, but I don't mind it (and it makes it easy to find a waitress lol). Our waitress was super attentive, so we never had to wait for anything. Played pool, enjoyed some good music, danced around like nobody is going to judge me (because everybody else is dancing crazy too) -- a great time all around and a perfect place to be on a Friday night. read more
