The first thing you must know is that Robert Tayler is a con artist, he is not licensed or bonded,…read morebut he will tell you he is. Robert Tayler owns this LLC to protect himself from liability, he does not reveal his address, my attorney's staff tried every method they could devise to find his address, I found a couple, both fake. Robert will grin, talk about the Bible and bore you silly with his stories about helping people the whole time he's searching for more and more ways to rip you off. He did some building for me using men from drug rehab and men who were decent builders but not qualified to take in such a big project, he never had enough men or anyone qualified to do the entire project. His best builders walked off the job. In the end, the work was so shabby it embarrassed me, we had agreed to an inspection before the final payment, he came to my house after dark and spent an hour or so in a dark garage with no light then came in & told me an inspector said the work was perfect. I never saw an inspector. He started demanding payment months before the work was complete. When the work was "complete", my inspector nearly had a coronary, I knew the work was shabby but I didn't know how bad it was. The inspector didn't even finish the inspection, he didn't want to charge me to inspect something that could never pass. I had 3 builders look, they all said it had to be torn down. One builder said it would not stand up in a storm. Robert originally imagined I wanted a garage that was 24X40, when I told him I didn't want anything nearly that big, we decided on 24X24, I told him to give me new costs based on the smaller size, he refused, insisting that the smaller size would cost the same, his bid included top of the line windows, doors and fixtures. Over the 6 months or so that it took him to do the work he consistently refused to revise the quote for the smaller size, he literally expected me to pay for a 24X40 garage when I got a 24X24, instead of top of the line doors, windows, and fixtures, he installed the cheapest garage doors so poorly they had to come down. The window, pedestrian doors and fixtures came from a dump pile he must keep somewhere. During this entire time, he offered to do things for me, we can do this, we can do that, all with the intent to gouge me and overcharge me more. One of the last conversations we had, he was practically begging me to build a kitchen island as if I'd hire him to take out the trash. He was going to replace the garage roof when I told him to stay off my property and hired an attorney. I googled him and found that he was a felon who spent time in prison for illegal gambling & bribing officials, he was on trial at the time he was working for me for fraud and theft alleged to have occurred at his auto sales company ironically called Integrity Motors. I posted his picture on Facebook and multiple people said he ripped them off at an auto repair shop in another town. My attorney said there were so many lawsuits and liens on his property that all I could hope for was to be at the end of the line. Stay away from Robert Tayler, don't let him in your house, don't listen to a word he says, he's a master con man, he is a genius con. There is not one honest thing about him. Nothing. He will smile in your face while he robs you blind & walk away telling people that you are evil.

The dog ingested one and a $300 vet visit followed. Beer cans were in my gutters they left there. A painter never came back to finish his part. Finally gave up and paid someone else to fix areas where my siding was glued on with caulk. At this point I need a receipt for new windows for tax purposes but he has blocked me after several contacts were made where I asked for said receipt. I had hired two remodeling companies for my complete home remodel in the past six months. Both…read morecompanies had given me nothing but issues. I contacted Maurice at All About You Remodeling and Design and explained my needs while venting on the other two companies. Without hesitation, he not only listened but took an hour on the phone with me to talk about options. We set up an in home estimate for the next day. He showed up on time and walked me through the whole process of each remodeling task and what it would entail. He brought a portfolio and even samples on flooring options. Within 2 business days I had a detailed estimate sent to me. I hired this company to do a bathroom remodel, interior painting, and luxury vinyl plank flooring install. They showed up on time on the date I was given for the start date. They worked full days and cleaned up daily. The communication was impeccable. I can not say enough good about this company. There was a contract and the final payment phase wasn't required until the work was complete and I was happy with the results. This company did exactly what they said they would do. I'll be hiring them again in the future when I'm ready for my kitchen remodel.

I hate having to leave a poor review, but I wish I could have known this before hiring All About…read moreYou to install tile and hardwood floors and trim in our new home. Within a month or two of installation, the grout in our master bath had cracked and was starting to fall out in many places. This is just one example, there were other shortcuts taken (not ensuring the floor was level under tile, sloppy painting drips & stain on white stair risers, not filling nail holes, etc.) but really the biggest reason I could not recommend this company is because they would not answer or return my calls. Not one to hassle, I tried calling 3-4 times over the course of a month, leaving 2 gracious messages. Each time I called, I was cut off and redirected to voicemail. It is apparent that All About You Remodeling & Design will not stand by their work. I would be happy to update this review were I to hear back and see All About You stand by the quality of their work in our home, but for these reasons, I cannot recommend their work.

I had to unscrew the sheetrock and get the wire out. They put sheetrock directly over an electrical outlet with no hole in the sheetrock, causing me to spent hours redoing their work! They nailed THROUGH an electrical outlet box to install it. So I have 2 nails with bare metal exposed inside an electrical box where an outlet is supposed to go-that's a major fire hazard! They spent 2 weeks doing a ~1 week job. They used an electrical sander for mudding with no sheets and spread sheetrock dust all over the basement. 2 months later, still digging out from their mess. Absolutely horrible; overcharged, underperformed, multiple instances of fire SAFETY hazard issues, egotistical jerks. Brian is a real piece of work, horrible individual to work with. Threatened to put a lien on the house b/c they didn't want to clean up dust mess they spread all over the basement (over computers, chairs, couches, etc.) and I wouldn't pay them until they did. If I could give a negative review I would.

All the components were carefully shipped across the country, and the instructions and assembly were incredibly straightforward. Customer service was excellent as well. We accidentally broke some shade tube caps while assembling and they sent us replacement caps right away. The pergola itself is beautiful, and we've received many compliments from our neighbors. Putting it together was quick and straightforward. It should take 2 people 2 weekends to finish assembling, if you account for taking a break for a few hours during the hottest parts of the day. The process was so much smoother and less stress-inducing than going back and forth with a contractor. I would definitely recommend ordering through them.
