Best taco salad ever. We share on as it's so big, but what we love is the base of pork, chicken or beef is warm, like you'd put in your taco. Then the lettuce and veggies cover it with their spicy dressing drizzled over it all. It's delicious. We also love their chicken taco soup which is blended, more like southern Mexico or Oaxaca region, rather than the northern style chicken broth with everything, including a ton of cheese thrown in. Long time local guy, first time eating here. I doubt I will be back, honestly. On a positive note, the place is clean and the help is pleasant. The tortillas were actually very good and the food was fresh. The end. Not good: beef tacos had zero seasoning of any type. Just shredded beef with cilantro and onions. Had to go to counter to ask for salt and lime. I mean, the food was totally bland and tasteless, so either someone forgot to season the meat (they were busy) or it is their mistaken idea of Mexican food. We ordered a lemonade for $3 and it was full of ice to the brim and contained maybe 4 or 5 ounces of actual lemonade. And for the CARDINAL SIN in a taco joint- they had run out of salsa verde (green sauce) at lunch on Sunday. The just didn't have any more and weren't making any. Don't think I missed anything there, because i dumped an entire paper tub full of the red sauce on my taco and it also had almost zero taste and NO heat whatsoever. So, it LOOKS like it would be a great place, but next time I will save my money and go eat at the ranchera (taco truck) by Cenex or go to El Corral in Bayview. I hate to be so brutally honest, but maybe the owner or manager will read this and actually taste the food and make some adjustments. read more

Fantastic find in Freeland! We went on a super busy holiday weekend, and loved everything we tried! Favorites were the fish, beef and black bean/sweet potato tacos, yum. Fresh squeezed lime juice made for a great margarita, and homemade tortillas and chips were great. They had sold out of chicken & carnitas tacos, which we can't wait to go back and try. Service was friendly even with a big crowd. They have an awesome patio and big lawn with games to keep kids occupied, love it! Also we will try their adjacent ice cream shop next time or the desserts everyone here has raved about, but beach s'mores were waiting. read more

Let me preface this with I have high standards for tacos. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and looks incredibly clean. That's a huge plus. We ordered quickly and took a seat. Our chips and guac came out. The guac was easily the best part of the meal, it was quite good. Then our tacos came out. I got the deluxe fish tacos and my wife got carnitas. The fish tacos come with a coconut crema that honestly drowns out any other flavor they were trying to develop. There was some sort of pineapple salsa but there just wasn't enough of it and it lacked flavor. Overall the fish tacos were very bland. My wife said the same of her carnitas. Plus one star for making tortillas on site. I feel like they have lots of potential if they get their flavors together. Will keep an eye on this place to see what they turn into. At this point I would not recommend rocket taco, especially considering we spent ~$30 for tacos with some chips and guac. read more

Low value for the price. The deluxe carnitas tacos were over-salted. The price @ $12 for 3 is too high, when there is an excellent Mexican food truck just down the road where you can get 3 tacos for $5.25. And their credit card software assumes you'll want to give 15-20% tip, which is laughable for a place with no table service. For food, price and service, I give 1 star. Bumped up to 2 because they serve alcohol, which the food truck doesn't do. read more

Cute place. The food was good and so was the service. A little pricey. However, all the staff should reread their food and beverage workers manual or take the class again. I loved it as soon as I walked in. The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff is polite and the food... the food is awesome, everything is fresh and delicious. A modern take on California Taquerias the flavors are very well thought out and complement each other well. Although it's not your abuelas tacos I applaud their take on the classics. read more

We were so excited to try this new spot in Freeland and it didn't disappoint! It was busy on memorial day weekend so had run out of a couple things which just gave us an excuse to try other options and everything was amazing! Fish tacos and the black bean and sweet potato were favorites along with great chips and guacamole. House margarita was delicious too with fresh lime juice! Can't wait to come back and sit on the back patio enjoying margaritas while the kids play with the lawn games. We loved it! Delicious tacos - yummy chips - and super tasty margarita! My favorite might have been the key lime pie in a jar. Fun place, especially when the patio and lawn are open in the summer.

Let's start with the basics. The tacos are great. I only know one place I can get better tacos and it takes 16 hours to get there. The big picture: The overall business is really well thought out. The menu is excellent, especially the key lime pie in a jar, so good. Parking is a little limited (especially when other customers park you in, thanks mini van) but there is so much parking in Freeland, you can probably work it out. Once this place is completely finished it will be one of the best places on the south end, and the deserve that praise. One glance at their logo with a deserving eye and you'll see they put sincere talent and thought into this wonderful business. I must add, one of the owners greeted me and my wife on our first visit, and remembered us. Everyone here is friendly, which shows their doing another thing right. Are their birth pains at this new business? Sure, a few minor things, but this place is primed to be beyond excellent. read more

The food was rather bland (I had ordered the 3 Traditional Beef Tacos), even with the so-called hot sauce. The service was questionable. Quite frankly I wouldn't recommend the place. Besides, you order your food at the counter, pay for your food, and you're expected to leave a tip before you taste the food or experience the customer service. I am ready to give this place 5 stars and I am excited to see when this place is fully up and running with everything I have read about. Our first experience was a good one. It was one of the first days they opened and they were extremely busy. We left and came back after the line died down and we could get a table. The margaritas were very good and just how I like them; not too sweet. At the moment I ordered they did not have any of there in house made taco shells available as they had been so busy, but I did get a couple tacos in quesadilla form and they were great. I also like the idea of the rewards program they have. I can't wait to get back and try the tacos in taco form! I also can't wait for the owners vision for the property to be completed to make this place a solid hang out location. I will be bumping this rating up to 5 stars after I get the Tacos and they have some more room to spread people out. read more
