I have lived at Rocket Pointe for 6 months, and I can honestly say I love living here. The office staff and the maintenance staff are friendly and quick to help you with any maintenance request. 1. When I first moved in to the apartment, I had just got done driving a long 16 hours, only to arrive to a locked apartment when told it would be unlocked upon arrival. After waiting what felt like forever for someone bring me the key, the apartment was literally dirty. It had appeared that no one had cleaned it after the people before me moved out. There was literally hair in the bathroom and visible dirt on the floors. 2. I don't know how these are considered "luxury apartments" because everything about it was so cheap. With the price of the apartment you would think you'd be getting something nice. 3. Most of the staff are the some of rudest/unprofessional people I've ever encountered. There was a time that I had requested some maintenance on my sink and the guy who came in to fix it IMMEDIATELY seemed like he didn't want to be there and made it feel like an inconvenience WHEN ITS LITERALLY HIS JOB. Another incident with some guy named Josh (pretty sure the same guy who came in for my sink) RUDELY confronted my friend while she was walking my dog to tell her that they have been trying to get a hold of me via email when I haven't even received any emails. I'm not sure if they treat every resident like this or if they think they do it to me just because I'm a younger college student. 4. The picture I attached just shows how bad the staff is with snow/ice removal. It shows my mother trying to get across an excessive build of ice to get to my apartment. They put a cone there but as you can see in the video, the cone is almost completely engulfed in the ice. Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone and would even go out of my way to tell anyone to NOT move into this place. If you like being nickel and dimed for piss poor service, this is your place! Not only will you be ignored while issues go unresolved, but you will get car alarms going off through the night, horribly slick areas all winter around the property, dogs barking, and construction of new, cheaper apartments next door. You will also get the soothing sounds of gun shots before 8 am on wknds with the gun range down the street. Trust me when I say you'll end up leaving this place and frustrated you wasted all that money for horrible management. Good luck! read more

This place gradually adds fees that can be another 200.00 or more a month. They do not work with you, the move out charges are ridiculous and if you have a pet they don't use the pet deposit towards and move out fees! Rent here only if you have no where else to go. read more

I lived here for a year from 2019 to 2020. It was one of the worst living experiences in my 45 years of renting apartments thanks to the cheap construction and non-existent sound proofing. Now I see the prices of the apartments have gone up by $1,000 since I moved out, which would make it even worse. I see management has changed since I lived there, but the main problem is the noise, which management can't do anything about. The fact of the matter is that you're basically moving into an overpriced, cheaply constructed kennel if you're moving in here. Despite being recently built in 2019, it's the cheapest construction I've ever experienced in any apartment I've lived in. I could hear every footstep my neighbors upstairs made. If my neighbors to the side of me were talking loudly in their bedroom next door, I could hear it (even making out "Oh my God!" one night around midnight when I was trying to sleep). When your upstairs neighbors vacuum, you will think an earthquake is taking place. Your kitchen cabinets, doors, walls, and ceiling fans all start rattling and shaking. When neighbors' front doors slam shut, the floor of your apartment shakes. When the people upstairs are doing laundry or turn on their garbage disposal, you can hear it. You can hear every move your neighbors make, and if, like me, you happen to have moved into an apartment below obnoxiously loud neighbors and their dog(s) that they allow to bark and scurry around on the laminate floors on, your life will be a nightmare. Every 3-5 months one of the smoke alarms in my apartment, which was clearly not getting electrical power even though it was plugged in, would start beeping loudly with a low battery warning. And it always happened at 1 or 3 AM while I was sleeping. Yay! In keeping with the cheap construction theme, during my final 6 months there my garage door continuously malfunctioned. Closing that garage door as I left the last time and moved out was the best part of living there. I've heard that snow removal is just as bad now as it was when I lived there. Management basically relied on the sun to remove snow, and the section of the complex I lived in only got sun for part of the day. The end result is that the parking lot and sidewalks near my building were like ice rinks. Management would put up "watch your step" signs rather than actually removing the snow. Sadly, as big of a mess as Rocket Pointe is, the other options in Durango aren't much better --- which is the only reason why this place has tenants. read more

Apartments are nice, but you can hear a lot of noise from other apartments and from outside. All units are walk-up as there are no elevators. There are also many, many required fees in addition to rent and these add up. read more

Living here has been a nightmare - constant noise from all around due to zero soundproofing between apartments. I have lived in over a dozen apartment buildings and have never experienced anything like this. I made the mistake of leasing here from out-of-state without touring the complex. I saw some good reviews on various sites online which did influence me. Since I've lived here, I've noticed that negative reviews miraculously disappear - don't know why (I have screenshots saved of all of them). Let's see if this review lasts!! Also the posted rental rates do not include a long list of required fees which currently add at least $300 to rent. Better value is available elsewhere in Durango, just takes some searching - contact real estate property managers for example. read more
