Me and…read moremy family are usual shoppers at hobby lobby, We spend quite a bit of money already at this store. Recently we went, the manager and the associate were following my uncle around the store thinking he was stealing when he was literally just waiting around for me, my mom and aunt to be done shopping. We didn't know that they were following him until my mom noticed the associate was staring him down watching his every move when he's literally just standing there looking around. The manager came and apologized to us and was acting like she wasn't just following him around the whole time saying that they watch people close that are around the jewelry section but he wasn't even close around that area, if anything me and my mom were there longer than he was, and they never once looked at me, my mom or aunt like we were thieves. Mind you we didn't even know that THE MANAGER was following him around until he told us in the car. Quite unprofessional on the managers behalf, if you think we're stealing why don't you just look at the millions of cameras you guys have instead of just following your customers around making them feel uncomfortable because you think they're stealing, Clearly you want to chase your customers away.

I know some people prefer Godiva or bougie European chocolates (and I do love many of those also), but it's not just nostalgia that makes See's my favorite chocolate shop. The quality, selection, and taste has me for life. I never pass up the California brittle or Almond Royal. Every time I'm in town, my husband and I get at least a half pound box. The young girl (seemed new) was really nice and was going to give me the 'sample' I had requested. I wanted to try a particular flavor but the older woman working told her "only whats in the box". I have been going to this location since it opened, and many different stores in California and other states. Not ONCE have I been told, "only what's in the sample box". Not sure if she was having a bad day or she was just disgruntled but not a good look for the shop. The young lady (great attitude and smile) gave me a different sample that I threw away after a small bite, after spending $100 just this visit alone. This won't stop me from buying See's but I am hoping the other person won't be helping me.

My issue is with management. 50% of the time that I go there, shopping carts are no where to be found accept out in the parking lot, and when they are in the designated spot, the spot is usually dirty, ugly and it is sad and irritating that people don't take pride on what they do. Last week the Dairy shelf was out of their First Street 2% milk gallons. I was told that the staff or stockers sucked. PLEASE DO BETTER!

Yolanda at Smart & Final was wonderful to me tonight. I had a cart full of stuff, and I got up to…read morethe checkstand and started putting things down and then realized I had left my bags in my car. Because I'm 73 and my hands hurt, I have special bags that are easier to carry from my car into the house when I get home, so it was important for me to go get them. My car was in the first handicapped space right in front of the door and I knew it would only take me a second to dash out and get them; there was only one woman behind me so I told her and the checker what happened, had her go ahead and go in front of me, and I ran out for just a few seconds, and hit my bags. But when I came back, there were five people behind her. I was stressed and didn't know what to do because I didn't want to jump the line, but 1/2 of my groceries had gone though the conveyer belt. The checker "Yolanda" saw my distress and leaned over and said to me "it's OK, I've got you, I put your things aside right here next to me and I'll just bring them to you when you get up here". I was so relieved by her kindness I was nearly in tears. When I finally got to her she was even more sweet and patient. She rang me up, bagged my groceries for me, and actually walked around her counter and put my bags into my cart for me. She had noticed that I gave her many more bags than I would need, and when I saw her begin to bag them I'd asked her to please use more of the bags to keep them light because I had a hard time lifting them. So of course (considering the caring heart that I'd already seen she had) she even put them in the cart for me. Yolanda is the epitome of what customer service personnel should be like, but sadly that kind of friendly and helpful service is found less and less often. Smart & Final, my advice is that you should Immediately promote Jessica to training your staff. I've been a manager and have trained staff in varied areas of business, and I'd steal her from you in a second if I wasn't retired. That girl is management material and should at the very least be a training supervisor. She's one in a million.
