Tony came to my house to check the cause of my snow melt in my basement. Before entering my house…read morehe noticed my yard sloped downward towards my foundation. He said that is the cause of the snow melt getting into the basement and recommended landscaping vice foundation work. This would be a huge saving for me as the foundation work would be tens of thousands of dollars. I greatly appreciate Tony's professionalism and honesty and highly recommend him and his company T K Mason for similar stoneworks at your residence.

There is nothing worse than looking at your chimney and seeing pieces of brick falling out. This…read morewas happening with our chimney and each year, the problem got worse. It was only a matter of time before it would crumble completely. Time to get it repaired. Unfortunately it was too far gone for a repair so a complete tear-down and rebuild was necessary. I received a few bids but I leaned towards Tony because of his positive reviews on several review sites. That and the fact that his bid was very competitive. Also, TK Mason did not ask for a percentage of the payment to accompany the signed contract. Some companies require a payment up front before the work begins and the remainder of the payment due at the end of the job. This was the deciding factor for me. There were a few delays, thanks to our rainy Spring weather but once a clear day was forecast, Tony's guys showed up and started work. They worked on my chimney all day, ripping out the old one and building a complete new structure. Their attention to detail was impressive and their brickwork expertise definitely showed on the finished product. They cleaned up nicely and left me with a chimney that will most likely outlast the rest of the house. I've posted a photo of the chimney taken while our roof was being replaced.

I should have written this review along time ago and I am ashamed that I didn't. Last November,…read more2023 we contacted AAA Asphalt to get an estimate for fixing part of our driveway. The culvert was pretty much eroded away and the driveway was sinking. We were already driving over a board to get in and out. Bryon came out to survey and gave us a quote which seemed reasonable so we decided to proceed. Bryon did everything to start the project by ordering the new culvert and obtaining the work permit. Within days the new culvert arrived and so the work began. Bryon and his team were amazing. They removed the old asphalt, installed 2 cement side walls, put in the new culvert, put down a stone base and a gravel base and graded for proper drainage followed by the new asphalt. After the 2 cement side walls went up the project only took 2 days. The city inspector also came out and was very happy with their work. A few changes were made along the way to enhance the longevity of our new driveways life which was a plus for us. Bryon kept us notified about what they were doing, and also sent us a video they made while the work was being completed. Bryon came out the day following the completion of the work to make sure all was good and a few days later called to make sure there were no problems. 2 days after the project was completed we were able to once again park in the driveway. Thank goodness for AAA Asphalt as a few days later we had the first snowfall of many to come. I hope to have them come again in the near future to do the rest of my driveway. Thank you Bryon and team, Linda and Dwayne

Bryon the owner, claims he is a mechanic that never was a mechanic, he hasn't had a single mechanic…read morelast for more than 4 months over the course of 26 years. Until I did work for him I don't think that anyone would have known the truth, he usually hires non licensed "backyard mechanics" from Craigslist part time because he can't afford to hire someone full time. Which is fine, nothing wrong with that. I am a journeyman diesel mechanic with 10 years experience, 3 years in managerial roles running truck shops. I do side work, lots of it. The issue I am bringing hopefully to anyone in the future who might consider either doing work for this guy or potential customers is as follows, He literally refused to pay me, got called out on it, got scared and called the police. He then told the police that I was on drugs and drinking because he had no other reason to call 911, just an attempt at a scare tactic. The police came, we did field sobriety tests, and ultimately, a breathalyzer. Of course, they let me go. He also admits to me that he has called former employers of mine, I have all of this recorded on video/audio via iPhone. Unfortunately for him he is choosing to attempt to justify his actions by saying to the police that I was never even an employee there in the first place. Bryon has multiple self esteem issues, which is what led to my inevitable departure from the business. Just a warning to anyone out there whom may be concerned, I see other bad reviews on here I can personally attest to their legitimacy.

Our new home needed some tuckpointing done on the exterior and interior. My boyfriend called around…read moreand either companies were booked up or they weren't interested in the job. Steve's Masonry was the first company to agree to show up and quote the work. Admittedly I still have sticker shock as I have no idea how much this type of work costs. But they took care of everything and even came back out to finish a few spots missed in the initial visit. The whole process was quick too, Milan quoted the repair on a weekend and one of his guys was there within the week. Milan was a very nice guy and his workers got the job done. Overall we had a good experience with Steve's Masonry. I would recommend them for anyone needing this type of work on their home.

I contracted Steve's Masonry Repair LLC to tuck point an 80yr old chimney with decaying mortor. I…read moreasked for the old mortar to be removed and new mortar be placed (tuck point). Steve quoted $1,000. His crew showed up and barely ground out the old mortar (going only a 1/2 inch deep before coating the seams with new mortar). I climbed on the roof and noted the shotty work. I called and texted Steve to discuss. He himself said mortar should be no less than 3/4" to 1". FYI, web says 2 to 3 times the width of a joint. Then Steve scolded his staff for telling me that they only did 1/2" (see photo of receipt). Steve was more upset that I knew the truth about the work they completed then he was about rectifying the job. He wanted me to call Champion (another local biz to confirm his story - i certainly wouldn't trust them either). He refused to adjust the bill and threatened to pull his team without them finishing. Don't trust this company! His team was also very condescending. I am very knowledgeable about construction. They lied to my face and were quite smug while doing so.
