Her interaction was very cold and spoke robotically with minimal eye contact. I was immediately put off and didn't want to be there. That is one of the most important interactions during a visit and sets the tone for how at ease the patient will feel. It seems to be getting harder to get friendly service so it was disappointing to encounter that here in Mayville. I added a star bc there was another woman who was much more friendly with her interaction. But by that time, I was already too put off to engage. Kindness and a smile go a long way, and it's needed these days.

I got my exam with eye dilation. Took maybe 30 minutes if that. After that I went to the picking and buying glasses part. One pair progressive glasses and what I thought was including exam was $630. I was fine I left. Two months later I get a bill for $452. That is my cost for exam and eye dilation. Wow, in 30 years in madison have I ever paid that much for an annual exam. In madison they use a high tech piece of equipment to take an image of the eye. Instead of dying and dilating. With that my charge has never been this high. I realize not all places charge the same. This is a huge disparity. And for a place working off old equipment with little overhead. It's out of line. I will be making the drive back to madison. Just an unreal situation. Location definitely isn't everything.

One time I was in there and asked a staff member for help picking out a pair of frames. She stopped and yelled loudly "we have a hand holder here"! A delusional misinformed staff member told me I could not take photos in a public building and put her hands on me. The Constitution allows me to take photos of anything in public that I can see. Of course I'm never going back
