And. the other thing was , shame on the owners who don't seem to have any pride of their establishment. The leather seats at the booths are older than dirt and in horrible disrepair. Every single one of them have holes and tears covered up with black tape. Wow! How attractive is that? Hello, time for new seats! Also, I am a trucker who parked in the big truck lot. Came in around 945 for breakfast. Service was okay, a little slow but not terrible. Salsa is really good and the breakfast burrito plate comes with 2 burritos so it can be shared. Pancakes were very good. Worth a try. Husband indicated there was a hole in the men's restroom wall that needed repair. read more

Incredible. In a good and peculiar way. We dropped in for breakfast during a road trip from Golden Colorado to Austin. We were directed to the back of the restaurant - past the regulars - 7 men - many of the smoking. I order 3 pancakes. They were gigantic! I could not finish them. 2 were beyond me. A great place to break up a trip to or from Lubbock. This is a good old fashioned hometown diner. You will see all the locals there for lunch. Food is great and in large portions. Horrible! Stopped in route from Ohio to Lubbock. Have no soda at all but is listed on the menu. Couldn't order chicken quesadilla because the chicken was frozen? News flash...you can cook it frozen. We waited almost an hour for our food. I had steak fingers that were mostly breading that was so hard my teeth hurt, didn't eat much of that. Daughter (who couldn't get a quesadilla) ordered a cheeseburger. She got a burger no cheese. Fries were the only thing that was close to being good. Waitress was not pleasant and place was in desperate need of upkeep. They don't give you a check. Instead you tell the cashier, who is just hanging out in a booth, what you had. The food was good. I got charged double on my discover card. One for the correct amount of $35.00 and the incorrect one for $45.46. I called the owner and wrote a letter stating the problem. I'm now a Dallasite, but I'm originally from West Texas so when I'm not feeling the interstate I'll take 114 up through Seymour to get home to see the 'rents. Seymour's dining options are limited to a lot of fast food and very few sit-down restaurants. I had really hoped this would be a 5 star gem, but it's a-ok food...the only thing "RockInn" at this joint is the service. Almost every time we go, it's around 8:30pm on a weekend night and the place is usually pretty busy with locals. The staff is very friendly though - one of them, the restaurant owner's son's girlfriend - is super sweet. She remembers the BF and I every time. On our first visit, we were CRAVING a grilled cheese sammich. As it's put on the table, I look down in disbelief. THE CHEESE WASN'T MELTED. It was two pieces of toast, with a slice of cold cheese in the middle. What the eff, folks? I was extremely disappointed. The Rock Inn redeemed itself though the next time around, and has ever since. The burgers and other items are quite tasty and super duper cheap, so we always give 'em a fat tip -- because I just know the locals probably don't dish out like we city folk. Just don't order the grilled cheese. And if you're not a Texas Tech fan, the decor can be a little off-putting. Go Raiders! read more

We anticipate driving' from our home to OKC several times a year in the future. We love trying local diners instead of chains. This will be our stop in Seymour. The food was hot and did not take long at all. I had the hamburger steak with a huge loaded baked potato. My wife had the Friday lunch special - Fried fish, with three sides. We were both very pleased. It was very good.. It was a pretty full lunch crowd. For some reason there was only one waitress, but she did an awesome job taking care of everyone. read more

I loved the breakfast special and the homemade salsa. The waitresses were great and I enjoyed the novelty of being able to have a smoke in a restaurant.
