Really cool place. I thought it was just a record store but it's so much more. Collectibles and pinball machines for days. I will have to go back when I have more time. The owner showed me around and told me to take as many pics as I wanted. Check this place out if you are into records, CDs, collectibles, pinball machines, graphic t-shirts etc! read more

So this is a mixed review. There are some things that I absolutely love about this place and then there are things that I can't stand. Let's start with the vinyl section: The albums are haphazardly scattered about the section with little to no care for condition or storage. They are in a very poor order and not well organized. You can find a few gems but they often have bent corners, they're scratched or missing sleeves. I wouldn't look to buy any used LPs here. Next up pinball: I absolutely love the set up with the black lights and nostalgic sounds that comes from the pinball machines. This is truly a time capsule and is worth the visit if you enjoy vintage pinball. I can not honestly think of another location like it. Finally the head shop / general merchandise: Much like the vinyl, it's a mess. Not easy to find anything. You'll end up stumbling on something rather than find what you want. Lots of items I noticed are damaged or broken due to lack or care. It's a shame because there is a lot of beautiful stuff. In conclusion; this place could be great if it was cared for. Not sure why it's a train wreck of disorganization, but it is. I could have easily dropped a few hundred dollars on my visit today but didn't because the condition and state of the items I wanted were not acceptable. If you want to play pinball, this is THE place. If you want to buy merch/vinyl, there are better places within a 30 minute drive. read more

I love this place but hadn't been to their new location yet. My son received a record player for Christmas. After asking where to purchase albums a friend recommended Rock Fantasy. I did find two albums but am going to come back when I have more time to browse. read more

Review for pinball only; I'm not qualified to comment on the other wares there. The pinball room is extremely well stocked, maybe too much so, as the machines are too close together for me to play my regular game. Slap saves are hard, touching your neighbor's backside inadvertently, inevitable. The games are heavily on the rock-n-roll themes - AC/DC, Aerosmith, both Kiss machines, both Rolling Stones machines, et alia - and there's a lot of recent Stern action. But there's also a few classic early solid states and a couple of electromechanicals, including Fireball and Gorgar, two of the more highly thought-of 70's machines. Worth a special trip if you're a pinhead, but beware if you're sensitive to patchouli (as I, alas, am.) read more

Five stars, w00t w00t!! So vinylheads (and I guess heads) will find this place more appropriate than avid cd freaks, but I was able to dig a few gems for a very excellent price. Sasha is a doll and everything was smooth as miles davis. Yea, no air supply, but hey, they focus on rock not zzzzzzz. As for the pinball, well pinheads, not a let down. Pricey, but good luck finding anywhere with the same selection, hell, everything worked too! Look what you did to this rock and roll clown (lynch him!) read more

Rock Fantasy is the best spot for new and used vinyl, CDs, posters, stickers and tee shirts representing all your favorite hard rock, classic rock and heavy metal artists and they are the area's leading pinball machine hub with a full assortment of vintage and current pinball machines on display and also for your playing pleasure. See Steve at his new location at 12 West Main St Middletown NY 10940. read more

A friend said you have to check this store out so will I was in town I did and I'm so glad. Great selection of vinyl, cds shirts toys and a bunch more. I bought a picture disc which I never knew was out. Girl behind the counter was super friendly, can't wait to no back read more

I give this place five stars and this is an AWESOME place and I'm from New Jersey and I've been up here with my friends and brother and they have a good music selection and it's a cool store and pinball place and if anybody ever wants to go there on a trip to New York, I HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

This is a place of majesty and history, one of the best selection of pinball machines I've ever seen. Not to mention their prices for bongs and pipes are hard to complete with, if your ever in Middletown you must come here, you won't regret it read more

Stuff for adults and pinball and posters for the kids! This is a landmark in the area. The owner is one of nicest people in Middletown!

This place sells classic rock records, incense, a lot of elaborate smoking paraphernalia, and some random collectables. The pinball room here is awesome and the reason this place is a hidden gem. It's filled with all sorts of classic and modern pinball machines. It's definitely worth checking out for the arcade maybe before or after some hotdogs at Holy Dog. read more

This place is amazing! Reasonable prices, very friendly staff, and so much to look at. I could spend all day playing pinball and looking for music. There's really nowhere else like it. Glass prices in the head shop side are great too. read more

Rock Fantasy has many highly collectible pinball machines and Steve is always buying the latest, greatest Stern pinball machines. The pinball room is very unique and very cool. I have been there many times and plan on going back to play the new Deadpool machine they just got. read more

Just visited for the first time and I absolutely enjoyed the experience. I called first and the person answering the phone was so nice and helpful. We shopped , played pinball and bought some excellent kratom. Amazing selection of new and re-newer items available. Albums and posters and clothes and accessories. Fantastic! Highly recommend! read more

I surprised my husband and took him here to play the pinball machines. He was very impressed with not only the pinball but the store as well. They have a lot of collectors items. We had fun playing the pinball machines, I just wish they didn't take quarters. I'd rather pay a set price for unlimited use. Also, it was very hot in there since there is only fans and it's tight back there if the store is busy. Definitely a cool place to check out. read more

Keeler and Rock Fantasy are both LEGENDARY. This place has it all with easily the best pinball collection around in the back for your enjoyment once your done shopping for your metal or smoke shop needs up front. Go enjoy their seasonal pinball tournaments or bi-monthly pinball nights. read more

In high school I was a closeted queer in a Slayer t-shirt. Now that I'm out, I keep my metal secrets to myself. Rock Fantasy makes me want to throw up the goat as I'm bending over... playing air guitar and banging my head in ecstasy. Some day it'll be OK to be both. In the meantime, I'll be shopping at Rock Fantasy, fantasizing about some tryst over a game on one of this guys vintage pinball machines. read more

New location same great store! Always was one of my favorite places to visit as a kid and still is!! Long live metal!!

This place is a staple of Middletown. Steve (the owner) is an awesome dude. This place is keeping the pinball scene alive! Smoke and rock on!! read more

Typical head shop on one side (although awesome metal tees) but the BEST pinball arcade in the New York area in the other room. Super chill vibe and rare machines. Owner takes pride in the machines and their history and this is one of my favorite stops in Middletown!!! read more

If your looking for a bong I guess this is the place to go ( make sure you have a tetanus shot first.

I came here only because I had to take my sister and her friend so they can get some kind of poster for a gift. What I saw was awesome to the nth degree. First off they have old video games, like nes snes and sega. Now it seems like they have pinball machines as well!! The elder "dude" was cool and the cashier was very nice. It is great going there but the outside it looks a little standoffish read more

This place is awesome I love going here a little bit pricey but I'd rather spend it here then the mall and it's all good quality !

Can't believe this place has such good reviews...Gimme a break. If you're going to play pinball, and check out some metal albums it's a great place. Steve's a nice guy, but this place straight blows when it comes to pricing, and availability of certain smoking devices. If you're looking for vaporizers he has NO CLUE what he's talking about. I call all the time to see if he's updated his selection just to be let down again and again. Not to mention he's selling certain items $200 over retail (not exaggerating)!! Make sure you do your research and do not impulse buy from here. Certain things have been sitting on the shelves for years and he doesn't keep his prices up to date. Would love to give this place a good review as it has potential but I refuse to support someone who doesn't even care about their business anymore. You can tell he's become careless, and is just on auto-pilot. Do yourself a favor and go to Pipe Dream in Monroe...its 20 min from Rock Fantasy and they have a knowledgeable staff. Not to mention you don't have to look at 12 in dongs while picking out your new piece. read more

Rock Fantasy there is not enough positive stuff to say about this place. My friends and I used to go there all the time to pick up the latest death metal release from either Earache or Roadrunner back in the early 90's. Steve the owner used to have tons of bands come in and sign autographs, take photos, etc. I have not been there in a year or so. But it is still a great place! read more

everytime i come here they have what I need. The older guy with the long hair behind the counter is always happy to help.great store, I would visit more if it wasnt so far away from where I live. read more
