Asking for a credit card to keep on file. I had no problem with this. They are providing a service for you and expect charges to be covered. Life isn't free. If you are generally concerned, call your insurance company and see what is covered first before going to the appointment. 2. Quick appointments - When is this a bad thing? I was shocked at how quick my annual once over was and I was glad! I did think it was quite thorough, however. My whole body was looked over and freckles/moles they wanted to keep an eye on were noticed. 3. Pushing cosmetic services - none were offered to me and I was kind of bummed, because I had marked in my paperwork I was interested in laser treatment and had mentioned to the assistant that I had a freckle I would like removed. I was never asked about these things and I was just so happy to be out of there fast and head back to my growing inbox at work that I figured I could call in another time. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told that my $2,000+ down payment is non-refundable, but that they would "make an exception" and refund half -- leaving the other half sitting on my account for future visits I never asked for and have no intention of using - let's remember I have NEVER been to this office or have used any of their services. Let me be clear: I am not doing this procedure. I don't want a credit. I want my money back. Being told I'm "not really losing money" because it's parked on an account for a service I no longer want is not a solution -- it's a way of avoiding a refund I'm rightfully owed. His skin wasn't responding to recommended treatments, and his self-esteem was extremely low as a result. We opted to wait outside with the baby until a room was available. When we were shown to a room, the staff member coming in with us was unmasked. I asked her if she was vaccinated for Covid, and she said no, it was her choice and she wasn't. I told her since no one in the office was wearing a mask, I needed someone treating him who was vaccinated for Covid, because he's only 6 months old and can't get vaccinated. She left and came back with a mask on, and said the staff doesn't have to tell me if they are vaccinated, but they will wear a mask while they are treating the baby. I initially said that was fine. But then she went on to tell me it was a healthy office, they are healthcare professionals and they know what they are doing... And that's when I decided to leave. It's incredibly negligent to have unvaccinated people unmasked in a medical office, treating a 6 month old. I literally cannot believe I'm even having to write this review. But I'm writing it as a warning to other patients considering going here. Don't assume because no one is masked up that they are all vaccinated. Ask questions and protect your health. If you aren't comfortable, leave. We certainly will never be treated here.
