Begged for an appointment for my 6 month old, and this was the only office in town who could fit us in before September. When we arrived, no one was wearing masks behind the desk. We opted to wait outside with the baby until a room was available. When we were shown to a room, the staff member coming in with us was unmasked. I asked her if she was vaccinated for Covid, and she said no, it was her choice and she wasn't. I told her since no one in the office was wearing a mask, I needed someone treating him who was vaccinated for Covid, because he's only 6 months old and can't get vaccinated. She left and came back with a mask on, and said the staff doesn't have to tell me if they are vaccinated, but they will wear a mask while they are treating the baby. I initially said that was fine. But then she went on to tell me it was a healthy office, they are healthcare professionals and they know what they are doing... And that's when I decided to leave. It's incredibly negligent to have unvaccinated people unmasked in a medical office, treating a 6 month old. I literally cannot believe I'm even having to write this review. But I'm writing it as a warning to other patients considering going here. Don't assume because no one is masked up that they are all vaccinated. Ask questions and protect your health. If you aren't comfortable, leave. We certainly will never be treated here. read more

This is the letter I sent to Dr. Liotta's office. Dr. Liotta, Today's office visit was a very disappointing experience. First, I was in your waiting room 25 - 30 min. before I was seen. There were patients that came in after my appointment time (11 am) that were seen before me. Then I sat in the exam room for another 25 min. before you came in. While I was sitting there, I could hear you and the staff laughing and talking and digging into the lunch that had just been delivered (when I was sitting in the waiting room). During the exam, which lasted less than 2 minutes. You said I was complaining about red and itchy feet. I never said that to you and never claimed any red or itchiness. I came in for the toenail fungus and a rash on my ancle. Further you and your staff had no idea you had ordered a hepatic test and the test results were in. I had to point that out to you. So, you obviously had not looked at my chart. When you did look at the results, you saw them for less that 3 seconds and said everything was fine. After that I had to remind you about the rash on the ancle and wanted you to look at that. In short, your treatment is obviously "cookie cutter" medicine to you. You had not looked at my chart and could not be bothered to give more than a few seconds time to anything that I needed today. Well, another doctor's office that wants to push politics by running Fox News on their flatscreen in the waiting room. It detracts from patient experience because it's distracting and negative. My advice is to skip the news stations and run something more neutral. Fox is offensive to some people and makes it look like the doctor cares more about her own viewpoint than the care she gives to patients. Better yet, get a video loop that educates patients about self care, diet, healthy living, etc. Many other medical practitioners along Thomas Johnson Drive are savvy enough to put patients first. From a medical standpoint, I thought Heather Demory, PA was knowledgable. I have never seen her one on one, there is always a student shadowing her. Be aware that they use private pharmaceutical companies, not sure why this is, but when you try to get around that and go through your own pharmacy you will encounter a hassle. I have been seeing Dr Liotta for several years and my experience has bee outstanding. Staff is polite and helpful. SAs I am always going to a preset appointment, I normally have no problems. On a couple of occasions, they have advised me the Doctor was behind schedule but that is not a problem - just so I know what is happening. She spotted skin cancers that resulted in MOHS(?) procedures. My basic condition is one for which there is no cure, but there are medications which slow down the spread. In short, her team is a professional, efficient and friendly staff that takes great care of me. read more

The doctor may be fantastic, but the office staff is very unfriendly, ignorant, doesn't listen to why you are making an appointment, and just seems to be "reading off the script " in response to everything you say. Finally you are transferred to a nurse and you're hoping you can speak intelligently to someone (I am an RN) and I get a recording. Then you call back and are told you have to wait 7 months . I really like this office overall. Dr. Liotta is very good at what she does and has state of the art equipment. Her staff is friendly and her PA, Heather Demory is hardworking and efficient. Both of them excellent in caring for their patients and using the best technology in the area. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that every time I come, I wait a minimum of 30 minutes before I even get back to a room. That's tough but I like the services, staff and Dr. so much that make it through. I had the Veleshape procedure and it really works. I even had coolsculpting about 7years ago and that did not work and was so painful. Celeshape is relaxing and soothing and Dr. Liotta is the first in the area to have this technology to offer patients! read more

So disappointed. Hadn't been here for a few years and don't plan on returning. One of the front desk staff was pleasant while the other was extremely rude. Doctor spent all of five minutes with me and when I shared that I wanted something removed, her response was, "Why?". No personality. They want you in and they want you out. I actually fault the doctor for her front office staff's demeanor. It starts from the top down and if she's fine treating patients in a cold manner, then her staff has obviously assumed it's ok, too. On top of my underwhelming visit, I then got a bill for $35...for what I'm still not sure. She did absolutely nothing. Not impressed and wouldn't recommend when there are so many wonderfully caring and kind doctors and staff out there. They'd be wise to remember that patients don't need to go to them to find a great dermatologist. She has similar reviews/complaints all over the internet...do your research. read more

I called here upon recommendation from a friend. The staff was extremely rude and seemed inconvenienced when I called to schedule a new patient visit. I'm honestly surprised I continued on and scheduled the appointment, it was that bad. I called in early September and they were unable to get me in until January. Upon telling my friend, she stated she ended up not going there anymore because of the rude staff! I was able to get in elsewhere earlier and cancel my appointment. Awesome staff. Very professional. I had a benign tumor that had originated within a hair follicle shaft -- of all places. Was removed and tested. The doctor and nurses were pros ... Terrible customer service. I have left their billing department 3 messages about a missed appt fee that was added, after I had to cancel an appt due to 2 traffic accidents causing me to be more than 15 min late on the way to their office. Nobody mentioned a missed appt fee. We agreed I would just have to reschedule & Now nobody wants to return my call regarding the mistaken invoice they have sent me for the so called "missed appt fee." At this point I will have to pay it so they don't send me to collections because clearly customer service is not their top priority. Will not be returning. read more

I went to Dr Liotta 2 months ago concerned about redness that had been in my face for a few months and she diagnosed it as Rosacea which is apparently pretty common in my age. She also noticed some pre-cancerous spots and wanted me to return 2 months later so that she could get a better read on that (after I had been on the Rosacea medicine she would hopefully be able to treat the pre-cancerous spots better). I returned today and she went ahead and treated the spots by freezing them which was pretty straight-forward. I'm to return to see her in 5 months for a followup. Overall I'm very happy with her, She was able to get me in promptly for my initial visit and for both visits she has been on time and very efficient with he services. Her office staff has been very courteous as well. I don't particularly have any reason not to give her 5 stars but based on my limited number of visits I'll hold at 4 for now with hopes of giving her 5 stars after my next visit! read more

it took some time due to Covid and cancellations but it was worth it to get my yearly check up. I was in and out in less than a half hour. Made no contact with any other patients. The intake nurse was lovely and the doctor is extremely thorough and professional. I was very very pleased with the patient care I received. I am at risk due to melanoma in my family and have over the years connected with numerous dermatologist and I am pleased Frederick has such a great practitioner. read more

This practice is very quick when it comes to billing for treatment but once they get your money (post visit) that's where the service efficiency ends. Very non-responsive and when they did respond they were very defensive and went to great lengths to deflect responsibly and ownership. Find somewhere else. I asked for a 3 month supply of my medication because it costs me the same for one month as it does for three. I had an appointment on the books and was told that they would only do one month at a time even though it costs me 3x as much until I am seen. My dosage had not changed in a long time nor would it have been changed. I explained my situation (I had an injury that kept me from walking or driving) and that I couldn't come in sooner but it didn't matter to them. There is no good reason why she couldn't fill the three months. I wish for once a doctor would put a patients health ahead of their need to make money. This is not the first time I have had medication issues with them, this was just the last straw. Prior to this I was given the wrong dosage of the other medication I take (half of what I was supposed to get). read more
